"Yes, Chaeyoung? You were saying something, dear?" Chaeyoung's dad asked her.

They were having a small family dinner at their country home in Melbourne. Chaeyoung's parents have been telling her about Alice and her little mistakes while she's been in Korea. 

Instead of making Alice feel bad, they all had a good laugh. 

Chaeyoung did miss this. When she was just a kid, and her family would have a little holiday in the countryside and just relax. Sure, she's Korean but Australia is the real home to her. 

Maybe it's because she grew up here and sometimes feels out of place in Korea.

Everyone was laughing at the story of Alice, when she almost pulled out a molar tooth instead of a wisdom tooth in one of her operations. Her reason was because, she came to her clinic, half asleep and her patient did not grow the right amount of teeth. 

"Uhm, maybe next time, daddy," Chaeyoung replied. 

"Why next time? You and your sister barely has 2 days left here in Melbourne. What's the news? And why do you have bodyguards?" her dad asked. 

Chaeyoung's hand under the table were sweating, her left hand touching the ring on her right ring finger and twisting it left and right. 

Should I tell it now? She thought. Maybe tomorrow. Oh, no. Now. Or tomorrow? Come on, Chaeng!

Alice lifted her eyebrow, "Sis? What did you want to say?"

"I...uh...." 

"Oh, come on, both of you! You're scaring our youngest," her mom scolded and looked at Chaeyoung. "It's okay, Chae, figure out where you want to start."

Chaeyoung cleared her throat, "Well...you guys know I'm turning 28 in a month...and uh..."

"Yes?" Her dad pressured. "Say it, dear. I'm starting to get worried."

She nodded at her dad, "So uhm, it's about Jiyoon..."

"Jiyoon? Why what happened?" Alice quickly asked. 

"Is there something wrong in Korea? What happened to her? Where is she?" her dad asked. 

"Roseanne, did something happen?" her mom asked her. 

She was called Roseanne. That meant it was a very serious matter to them. 

But no actually, it wasn't about Jiyoon. 

Chaeyoung rolled her eyes, "Okay, wait! It's not about her, alright? She's totally fine!"

"Come to think of it, why isn't she with you? Where is she staying?" her mom asked. 

"Can you just let me talk first!" She yelled. 

Everyone was taken aback and agreed that Chaeyoung will talk first. 

"And promise me, no one's reacting until I'm done," she said. 

"We'll try our best," Alice spoke. 

Chaeyoung took a deep breath, "It's been 5 years since I've become a single mother. Those 5 years was precious to me, because a lot of things has changed. I've become a better doctor, and I've done things that were not part of my job description."

"Uh-huh, where are you getting at this?" her dad asked. "Look, if it's about being burdened, we know you've done so many great things--"

"Look, dad, it's not about getting burdened," Chaeyoung cut him off. "I'm so grateful that you guys took Jiyoon in even if she was caused out of irresponsibility. You guys supported me even if I ended up this way."

Her mom's eyes watered, "Of course, you're our daughter. Why should we leave you off alone?"

Chaeyoung smiled, "Well, I hope you continue to support me when I say this..."

"Uh-huh?" Chaeyoung's dad took a sip from his water. 

"Jiyoon's..." she paused, nervous of what the outcome would be. "I've met Jiyoon's father."

Chaeyoung's dad coughed, Alice's mouth open wide, and her mom gasping. 

Her mom's hands were on her mouth, "And? Who's he? What did he say?"

"He's a great guy, mom," she smiled. "I met him when I operated his mother. My senior was a good friend of his and we became close. He's very supportive of Jiyoon, spoils her a lot and teaches her so  many things."

"But do you like him?" her mom asked. 

Chaeyoung giggled at the thought of Jungkook, "I love him."

All of them went silent. 

"I know, it's so sudden. And I know he isn't here for you guys to judge, but I swear, he's really kind, sweet and very charming," she added. 

Her dad looking at her mom and sister then back at Chaeyoung, "Who is this man? And where do I find him? Mom, book me a flight to Korea."

"Dad," Chaeyoung said. "His name's Jeon Jungkook, owner of the Jeon Foundation and Businesses."

"Jeon Jungkook? I've heard that name from somewhere..." her mom said. "Picture?"

"Picture? Are you supporting her on this?" her dad asked her mom. "Remember, Jiyoon was born because of that stupid Koo Junhoe. This man? How do we know if he's good enough? You're our baby, Chae, we don't want anything more to happen to you!"

"Mason, give this man a chance. We haven't met him."

"How do we know he's Jiyoon's father?!"

Chaeyoung took a photo from her wallet, a picture the 3 of them took when they were in Sapporo. She gave it to her mother, father and sister.

"This is outrageous," her dad commented. "How are we sure he's her real father. For all we know, he's just using you."

"Don't say that," her mom said. 

Chaeyoung looked at Alice, and she just nodded, encouraging her to convince them. 

"He took the DNA test on his own, and he found on his own. He and I agreed to work things out, and we did. And Jiyoon's birth certificate is not Park...I placed Jeon," she said. 

Her father and mother shocked about the truth, both of them went silent. 

"The bodyguards outside? He sent those people to ensure I'm safe here, he brought Jiyoon to Sapporo for Christmas, he did a lot of things for me. I've seen how he and his family loves Jiyoon so much too," Chaeyoung said. "And I'm hoping you would welcome him as well."

Chaeyoung's father sighed, "I get uncomfortable when I hear words from both you and Alice wanting to leave this family."

Alice giggled, "Time changes, dad. We don't get to be your princesses forever."

He sighed and took a look at the photo. 

"From what I see? Jiyoon seems to love this man a million, isn't it sweet? He's trying to repay the time he left Chaeyoung alone to raise a kid. I'm sure, not seeing your own child have her first of everything...I guess he's regretting things," Alice took a sip from her iced tea. 

"Have you met the man, Alice?" her dad asked. 

"No but I've seen him everywhere in the news. Hella rich and hella kind, as what the newspapers said. Labelled as the youngest and richest CEO, most handsome man by TCandler. Not surprised why Jiyoon's very beautiful," Alice reasoned. "Also because Chaeyoung asked me to pretend like I don't know, so yeah."

"I think Alice is right, and also Chaeyoung. Let's fly to Korea, meet the man and his family," her mom suggested. "Are there anymore announcements we should be aware of?"

"He proposed to me."

"WHAT?!"

Jungkook's right hand was on his chin, while his elbow was rest on his left arm that was wrapped around his waist.

He was looking at 5 pictures on the wall, thinking of what he should pick. 

All of the pictures look great, but he can't buy all of them at the same time. He tried to recall what kind of flowers Chaeyoung likes, and he'd just add his favorite flower to the design. 

But he wasn't sure. 

Sunflowers. Pink roses. Lilies. Hyacinth. And White roses. 

But he likes tulips and thinks that sunflowers and tulips don't go together. 

"Hmmmm," he hummed. "What was the flower she liked again?"

He continued to think. Then he took a deep breath and let it out. 

"In British history, there was a war of the red and white roses," he told himself. "I guess red roses and white roses look good together."

Then he walked out of the room and entered his office. He sat down on his chair, frustrated that he couldn't go home early tonight. 

Jiyoon will be staying with his father and he will be working until his job is finished. 

After a few seconds, his staff brought him his food on his table and he ate his dinner. Feasted himself since he needed energy for working tonight. 

As he was cutting his salmon, he accidentally elbowed one of his picture frames that were displayed on his table. He checked the frame and it was the picture of him, his brother, his father, Jiyoon and Chaeyoung. 

But he rubbed it off and asked the janitor to clean it.

okay, so the other update was wrong. 

cuz i thought it was chapter 72 already but this is chapter 72.

so again, 3 more chapters!!
