Chapter 63

Author PoV

Chaeyoung opens her mouth as she sees the price in the monitor when Jungkook was paying. Like what Jungkook said, they'll buy some clothes for their small trip in Japan. But this is what she didn't expect.

Obviously, Jungkook doesn't really care how much he'd spent, as long as he'll wear the clothes and make use of it. What she didn't expect, was him buying almost everything he sees that looks good for him, Jiyoon or Chaeyoung.

Jiyoon was jumping up and down since it was her first time buying anything she likes and wants. As far as she can remember, it was only Jisoo, Jennie or Lisa paying expensive clothes for her but now it's her very own dad.

As Jungkook got his card back from the cashier, and his driver carrying all the bags back to the car, Chaeyoung nudged Jungkook. This made Jungkook's head, who was still looking around the store, look at her.

"Yes?" he asked, his eyes still looking like he wants more clothes. "Oh, yeah, want to go check-out some shoes? Maybe we can buy a gift for your parents and send them over to Australia."

Chaeyoung's eyes widened.

You still want to spend?! She wanted to scream.

"Jungkook, you still want to buy shoes after spending 900,000 won in just one store?!" she whisper-yelled.

Jungkook's eyes widened, "900,000 won? Still? Let's beat Taehyung-hyung's record."

She wanted to explode.

How much money does he want to loose in just 1 day for just a week's vacation?!

Inside, Jungkook was laughing. He didn't want to beat Taehyung's record, that was his hyung's pride of spending over 5 million won in a day. It was just him being a tease. Normally, he never spends a lot in a mall.

Since he has a lot of branded stuff at home, but this is a family shopping. And it's his first with his very own. So why not spend? Shop til you drop.

A while ago, before they went into this winter-selling clothes, Chaeyoung's eyes were on some thing's in Gucci, Chanel and Prada stores. He caught her looking at the mannequins and heard her say "maybe next time".

Why next time? When there's now?

She groaned, "You know what? Spend, go spend. I'll pay you when my next pay check comes. I have my pride too."

He just chuckled, "It's my treat today. And even if I spend 10 million won, I gain times 10 of that."

"What?" she asked in confusion.

"Chae, Jeon Foundations and Businesses is the number 1 funding company in South Korea, Asia and number 4 in the World. If you want something, just tell me."

Chaeyoung threw her hands in the air, "Urgh! Why can you just not spend?!"

He laughed, "Come on, let's go to Gucci. I saw you wanted that bag and shirt."

"What? No, I didn't want anything. I am perfectly fine!"

"Jiyoon, come on, let's go!" he called his kid.

"--- I am better off without these designer brands!"

Jiyoon held her father's hand and Jungkook laughed at Chaeyoung.

He smiled, "You know, whatever you say, I'm still buying it for you. So hurry up before I even take the chance away."

Chaeyoung stopped and looked at him, "Okay, let's go, then. Jiyoon, you want a carry?"

"Yep, my legs are getting tired," the 5-year old complained.

Even if it was for her, Chaeyoung's mouth still dropped when she saw how much they spend in top designer brand stores. And like Jungkook said, he bought a gift for Chaeyoung's parents, sister and her sister's fiancee.

She only looked at how much Jungkook loved to give his card to the cashier and getting it back as if he didn't waste any money.

His impulse buying annoys her to the point she wants to have a tantrum in the mall or just operate for 2 days.

"Ooh, look at that luggage bag," Jungkook says.

He and Jiyoon saw a luggage store and the ones displayed outside were this pink and silver suitcase. There was a small hand-carry suitcase displayed too, it caught Chaeyoung's eyes.

She sighed as she saw Jiyoon clapping and smiling.

"Appa! The pinkish silver one looks nice too, right?" Jiyoon asked.

"It does. Maybe we can get you one, so when we travel together, you have your own suitcase as well," Jungkook answered. "And I can buy a new one too, my old one has a scratch on the wheel."

Chaeyoung wanted to pull her hair off her head when she heard it.

"Eomma, eomma, after this can you come with me buy hot choco?" Jiyoon looked at Chaeyoung.

Quickly, Jungkook bent down and started to worry. He felt the forehead and neck of his daughter as he was about to get worried.

"Why? Are you feeling sick?" he quickly asked.

Jiyoon chuckled and shook her head, "Ani. I just want some time with eomma too."

"Are you sure? We can go home if you want?"

"Appa, I'm fine, really," she went closer to her dad's ear. "I wanna tell mommy something, you know?"

Jungkook got it immediately.

They both of have father-daughter conversations at night and sometimes it gets out of hand. Like the time Jiyoon taught Jungkook how to make flirt with her mom with slow dancing and always accepting.

And telling him her mom's favorite meals and restaurants. What pisses her mom off and what makes her mom happy. Even the pick-up in the airport?

Jiyoon taught her dad all those.

When it's supposed to be the other way around.

Chaeyoung softened her eyes and walked to the father-daughter duo. Jungkook, undoubtedly, is the best dad. Her friends were right about him, and he's care for Jiyoon is never-ending.

"I thought you wanted a suitcase?" she smiled at Jungkook.

Jungkook smiled back and nodded then carried Jiyoon, "Yeah, let's go."

They enter with empty hands and exit with Jungkook's driver, again, carrying a lot of newly bought things. This time, he was carrying 3 suitcases. 1 pink, 1 black and 1 silver.

It's no joke to be his bodyguard when he shops this much.

Now that they were done buying their suitcases, Jiyoon grabbed Chaeyoung's hand. They both went to a store selling donuts and warm drinks. While they were going to a food store, Jungkook went to one of the Jeon Fashion brands store.

As Chaeyoung paid the cashier, she turned to the store, looking for Jiyoon. Until she spotted Jiyoon sitting with Jennie.

This kid has a lot of tricks, huh?

Both of them haven't talked in weeks, and neither bothered to apologized. It wasn't their fault they didn't have time to apologize. Jennie has work and Taehyung while Chaeyoung has work and Jungkook.

The water just keeps flowing the river.

Chaeyoung sat down next to Jiyoon, giving her the hot chocolate and sprinkled donuts she wanted and mixed some creamer to her coffee.

Jennie cleared her throat, "You weren't a fan of coffee."

"Well, things have been stressful in the hospital. ER here, OR there, next surgery here and there. You know my routine," Chaeyoung replied, eating a munchkin. "Your cheeks have gone thinner, diet?"

"Me? Oh, yeah. I'm doing pilates and dieting at the same time."

"Really? Man, trying living with my new family, they eat a lot of fancy western food, auntie," Jiyoon butted in.

Jennie and Chaeyoung just laugh at Jiyoon's opinion with the Jeons.

"How's it like to have a dad, love?" Jennie asked Jiyoon.

Jiyoon thought for a second, "He gives me literally anything. We talk in English too, and since appa is good in French, I learned it quicker. I was just joking about going with him on his business trips and he said I can! Amazing right, auntie?"

Jennie eyed Chaeyoung and then back to Jiyoon, "Amazing. Now, don't forget about your eomma. She might die alone."

"Why will eomma die alone? She has me, Aunty Alice, grandpops, grandmama, appa, Aunty Lisa, Aunty Jisoo and you."

"You talk a lot with your auntie Jennie, eh?" Chaeyoung covered Jiyoon's mouth. "Why are you here?"

"Oh, me?" Jennie asked. "Well, uhm, I want to sincerely apologize for what happened that night."

Chaeyoung's eyes softened, "Don't worry. I know you did it for my good. You were right, Jungkook is the one for me and I should get a move on and start getting fearless with my life."

"I'm glad you found someone better and a complete family," Jennie smiled.

"Yeah, we're still missing a step we skipped."

"Step?"

"Dating then marriage."

Jennie nods as she understood.

"How're you and Taehyung-oppa? Lisa? Jisoo-eonnie?" Chaeyoung asked.

"Taehyung and I..." Jennie blushed. "We had a bumpy start but he can't move on with Irene-eonnie. Her marriage was called the wedding of the year and he cried for several nights."

"Yeah, I saw it in the newspaper. He went to her wedding, that's so stupid of him to."

Jennie shrugs, "I don't know about where my relationship is going. I love him but he's still hurting."

"Love's painful, that's the reality," Chaeyoung laughs.

"But you know, I'm Jennie Kim, I always find ways."

"Yeah, of course you do. How's Lisa? And Jisoo-eonnie?"

Jennie sighed with the names she just heard. And Chaeyoung sensed there was something wrong.

"Eomma, can I get some more hot choco?" Jiyoon broke the mood.

"Sure," Chaeyoung answered and gave Jiyoon money to buy more.

After that she faced Jennie, worried about the news with Jisoo and Lisa.

"Lisa and Bambam took a break off their relationship," Jennie sighed.

Chaeyoung covered her mouth.

Damn it, I lost the bet to Jisoo-eonnie! she screamed inside.

But Chaeyoung raised her brow, "Why, though? They were a couple since who=knows-when and they decide to break-up now?"

"Lisa..can't understand what she wants now. She told me because she's young and very popular, she doesn't know what she truly wants. And to the point, she questioned Bambam why they were dating and if they really do love each other," Jennie said. "He was supposed to propose and everything but that happened. Now, Lisa left for Thailand and told me she wanted to travel the world before she even dies."

"Omo..are you sure she's okay? She doesn't sound like she's doing fine mentally."

Jennie nods, "She is. She really is. Actually, I think she can't handle her mistreatment in the industry she's in and the fact that she was talking about her relationship with Bambam getting more toxic everyday. I don't know what's going on, but Bambam is looking for her. Her parents said that she hasn't came home since September."

"But you know where she is?"

"Yeah, she's in Singapore right now."

"She needs time to discover herself, that's okay. Jisoo-eonnie?"

"Their wedding is on January. No question for Jisoo-eonnie, Jin-oppa would do anything for their relationship. Speaking of wedding..." Jennie grabbed something in her bag. "This is their invitation. It says Mr. Jungkook and Ms. Park, Jiyoon's gonna be a flower girl."

Chaeyoung grabbed it placed it in her bag, "Let's see if mom doesn't take Jiyoon and have her holidays spent in Melbourne."

Jennie's phone beeped and she read a text message coming from Jisoo, "I have to get going. I'll see you some other time?"

"Yeah, sure."

Their awkward conversation ended there.

And Chaeyoung was sure that she can sense there was something wrong. Lisa would never just runaway, that woman is head-over-heels for Bambam. And she thought the wedding of Jisoo would be on April because they wanted the cherry blossoms.

Strange. She thought.

There was a vibration in her bag. She got the phone and realized she forgot to give Jungkook his phone back.

Jennie texted Jungkook.

And she didn't understand at all.

When she read the text, her jaw dropped.

"Eomma, let's check out that stuff toy there!" Jiyoon called. "Eomma?"

"Who the hell is Sasha Parkinson?!" Chaeyoung muttered.
