"We Wanna Hold Our Heads Up, But We Gotta Stay Down"
So I got these from Wiki dunno how true they are but it's fun facts if they are true :3
° Most of the songs were written by either Tom or TomxMike...
° During them working on Hard Promises they were set up to meet John Lennon who was one of their favourite idols but sadly he was murdered before the date so as a tribute to him they etched We Love You JL on the cover of Hard Promises...
° Tom shattered his hand during mixing for Southern Accents by slamming it into a wall... (This sounds familar...) doctors held it together with wires and bolts telling him he'd never play guitar again... And look where he is now with that stubborn gung ho attitude...Playing guitar!! :P
° Jammin' Me was written by Tom, Bob Dylan, x Mike) Bob also sang on the album (:
° Full Moon Fever was produced by Jeff Lynne
° Jeff Lynne played bass, keys, synthesizer, piano and did backing vocals on FMF
° George Harrison played acoustic x backing vocals on I Won't Back Down... Ringo Starr played drums :3
° Benmont played piano on Apartment song
° Roy Orbison was backing vocals on the Zombie song and Mike's daughter did the scream on the song...
° Into The Great Wide Open album was written mostly by LynnexPetty
° Carl Wilson does backing vocals on Honey Bee!
° Ringo Starr plays drums on To Find A Friend
° On Music From She's The One (Which is a movie that the band wrote the soundtrack for)
Ringo Starr plays drums on Hung Up And Overdue while George Harrison played slide guitar on the song.... Lindsey Buckingham did backing vocals on Walls (Circus), Climb That Hill x Asshole.... Carl Wilson played string guitar and did harmony vocals for the album...
° On Echo's I Don't Wanna Fight this is the only time Mike sings lead on any songs also during this time was hard times for the lead singer but he still carried on...
° Stop Draggin' My Heart Around though a Stevie Nicks song was written by TomxMike for the band but their producer felt since it was through a woman's perspective why not have his recent client sing on it who happened to be Stevie who worked with the band before so they agreed...
° Mary Jane's Last Dance was originally called (I think) Indiana Girl or Girl From Indiana... (I'm tryinh to remember)
° Lindsey Buckingham does backing vocals on The Last DJ's The Man Who Loves Women
And that's all I've read (:
I swear next chapter will be the fun one!! XD
