I had a one-way ticket to a place where all the demons go
After my father and Brent finished dinner, me and Venice sat to eat. I took a plate and put some salad on it when suddenly someone threw the plate down. *crash*
"I told you to eat from the plate of Brent." My father shouted.
"But, it's unhealthy." I answered.
"Oh. So you want healthy food?" My dad said.
"If Brent can have good food so I deserve that too!" I said.
"Oh really? Brent works. He is a policeman. And you? Nothing. If you worked hard, you would have got healthy food. But no! You're worthless woman! A burden! A disgrace!" His voice echoed.
"This is because you never sent me school. You always discriminate between me and Brent. Just because I'm a female..." I was talking but was immediately stopped by the strong slap of my father.
"Don't you dare raise your voice in front of me." He said and went in his room
Tears rolled down my warm cheeks.
I looked at the dining table, but my hunger was gone. I went to the kitchen to do the dishes. Venice didn't eat too. My eyes wouldn't stop flooding. That time, I wished I was a boy.
"Awe my poor soul." I heard a voice.
When I looked behind, I saw Mr Zack, my father's friend.
"It's such a pity. Such a beautiful lady and such an ugly life. I can change that you know?" He said.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Honey it's simple. Princesses like you are useful only as strippers. And I got a bar..... Just say yes. And I'll change your life. People will shower money on you. And you won't have to live like this." He said with a chuckle.
Mr Zack gave me a ticket to a place where all demons would go.
Anger filled me.
"Men like you take women for assets. So cheap! Now I will show you the power of a woman. We are not a disgrace." I said and walked directly to my room.
You don't pay attention to me dad. But now I'll show you I'm alive.
