"The day after tomorrow," you told yourself. that's right the day after tomorrow was December 13th the day everything kick starts; you packed a set of clothes. "Do you have everything?" you looked to see Ran, you nodded and said "yep I do I'll be back tomorrow night, I know on the 13th they'll want to spend the day with Ciel just them" Ran nodded, but she could see you were worried. "Is everything ok?" she asked you nodded "yeah, just thinking that's all I had better get going" she smiled and said "alright, I'll see you tomorrow night and have fun" you nodded. she took your bag to the carriage; you went to get the cake you made for Ciel.

Once you had it you left to go there 'I want them to live, I wanted to change things here but I can't change everything, death said they need to die and there right if Ciel isn't taken, no contract, no Sebastian I mean I could of made it, but then things would be more messed up but I can change a few things like madam red, maybe joker and everyone? I can't not all of them, I need to make a plan on who can and can't ask death who is someone I can't save, like Rachel and Vincent and who is a maybe and go from there each arc I'll do it one by one the first major one madam red' you thought. "Miss where here" you hared snapping you out of your thoughts and looked nodding, getting out and going up to the door knocking.

Tanaka answered smiling at you, you smiled back 'after what happens I'll visit him and help him recover' you thought. he led you into the living room and said "master lady (name) is here" Vincent looked and said "thank you Tanaka" you went over and said "I made a birthday cake for Ciel for later, I know his birthday is the day after tomorrow" Vincent smiled. "that's fine he's been looking forward to this, are you sure you don't want to stay tomorrow night?" you shook your head "it's ok, I know hed likely want it to be just you two for his birthday, that's why I'm staying tonight and all day tomorrow" you told him, you felt so bad not saying but you had to keep it to yourself Vincent understood.

"(name)!" you heard and looked to see Ciel. he came over you smiled Rachel came in and said "already here" "she just got here," Vincent told her. "well dinner will be an hour, have you eaten?" she asked you shook your head "no I haven't eaten yet, since I knew I was coming here I made a birthday cake for Ciel, I know it's the day after tomorrow" "well why don't we have half tonight, and the other half tomorrow then and it looks lovely, you have a talent for baking" "I don't, it's just a simple cake the chef back home had to help me, they got everything prepared and even helped mix, I at most gave them the ingredients to mix" you felt a little bashful Rachel chuckled and had a maid take it to the kitchen.

Ciel then took you to play "they are so adorable," Rachel told Vincent. he nodded "yes, and I know if anything happens to us, she will be there for him and look after him, and when old enough make a wonderful wife" Rachel chuckled "a little young for that aren't they? there what 8 and 9" he nodded. "Yes, but with my work I have enemies and I never know, but I'm confident in this when Ciel does eventually take over from me as the guard dog, he will have a wonderful wife to help him and support him in her own way like you" she nodded. you went to Ciel's room to play "hey Ciel" he looked at you "tomorrow well do whatever you want since it's your birthday the day after, and I won't be here for that so let's pretend tomorrow is" he nodded and said "ok (name)! I can't wait to have some of the cake you made, your cakes are always the best!" you smiled with a small blush. "Thanks!" you told him 'At times I hate having an older mind in a child's body ugh' you thought.

Soon dinner time came, you enjoyed it just talking laughing inside though it was killing you, but you swore to yourself tomorrow will be Ciel's best day ever. once everyone had eaten their dinner a slice of cake was brought out, it was a simple vanilla cake with small bits of chocolate on top nothing too fancy everyone enjoyed it. "Can (name) stay in my room tonight?" Ciel asked his parents "do you want to (name)?" Rachel asked. you nodded you didn't mind, at bedtime, Rachel came in tucking you both in and reading you and Ciel a story that Ciel picked.

The next day it was Ciel's day to pick to do whatever he wished, once dressed you all left going to a Christmas market that was on. Ciel held your hand you'd told Rachel and Vincent you'd bring Ciel's gift the day after his birthday, as you were finishing it off which they were ok with you looked around the market with Ciel. there were stalls from the German Christmas market "I'd like to see a German Christmas market" you told Ciel. Vincent said "well I have a German friend, if Francis says it's ok, we could go next year and stay there?" you nodded not saying anything, knowing that promise would not happen not with Rachel and Vincent Ciel maybe but not them.

You didn't let anyone know the truth or how you're feeling, as it wouldn't help soon you went to a cafe to get a warm drink. you watched the snowfall "(name)" you jumped hearing your name and looked at Vincent. "Is everything ok?" he asked you nodded "just thinking how that nothing lasts forever, like the snow" "I see you have a mature head on your shoulders, and even intelligence" you nodded. "I get told that by a lot of people my tutors, my parents and even you and aunt Rachel" he nodded "you know, one day me and Rachel will leave" "I know and I don't want that, and I know Ciel doesn't but when our time is up it's up nothing we can do" Vincent nodded again. "No, we cannot and sometimes it comes faster than we think, sometimes sudden but we can't help it we leave our loved ones" you looked at him. 'Does he know? like with Rachel when she gave me those dresses and jewellery? does he know Ciel's birthday is the day he dies? no he can't know, he might know he's being targeted but not the day they'll attack right' you thought.

After you went to try ice skating, both you and Ciel fell a little as you skated but you had fun. you did everything Ciel wanted as a treat Vincent took everyone to a restaurant to eat out, which you enjoyed. 'I wish I could have some pictures of this or videos to give Ciel, I really do' you thought. soon you arrived at the manor you sat by the fire having hot chocolate and some cake, as Rachel read you and Ciel some Christmas stories like a Christmas carol. "Have you enjoyed today?" you asked Ciel he nodded "I have!" you smiled at him. you were so into your own world that when Tanaka told Vincent your carriage was here, you didn't even hear "(name)" you looked at Vincent "your carriage is here to take you home" "oh" you looked down, not wanting to go but knew you had to. Rachel knelt "you can come over the day after Ciel's birthday, and stay the night" you nodded and hugged her. she hugged back not letting go for a while, and then hugged Vincent doing the same. after you hugged Ciel and kissed his cheek and said "I'll see you soon Ciel" he nodded. you left when in the carriage; you watched the manor grow smaller in the distance. you cried silently, when you got home you went straight to bed and ended up silently crying yourself to sleep.

The next day you stayed in your room knowing what was happening. soon a knock came "it's open" you told them it was Francis, she came over and said "there has been a fire at the Phantomhive manor and" before she could say anymore you said "ok, but Ciel isn't dead" Francis looked at you. "I know he isn't; I have a feeling in me he isn't hell turn up, I know it and uncle Vincent says I should always listen to those feelings" she knew it was likely shock or grief talking, but oh she was far off. she went and closed your door and told Elizabeth to leave you be for now. "it's started, in the new year, Ciel will appear with Sebastian, hey death" you knew they were behind you. "Yes (name)?" they asked "that butler you said I'd be getting, are they coming soon?" death nodded "yes, in the next few days you'll meet them, they'll be how the other butlers are for the kid and Indian prince," you said "alright thanks, I wish I could of" death hugged you. "I know, but unfortunately they have to, it's what starts the boy to look for revenge, if they don't then no revenge at all" you nodded silently crying. a few days later a knock came at your door you looked Ran came in, she sat by you and said "there's someone your mother wants you to meet, there your personal butler" you nodded. she motioned for them to come in, you looked the man was almost as tall as Sebastian if just slightly shorter, he had long dark blue hair that came to the bottom of his neck he had some tied up in a small bun, teal eyes and some piercings on one ear he said "it's nice to meet you, my name is Joe and I'll be your personal butler" you nodded and said "nice to meet you"
