Paul's New Song
So I know there's a lot of talk about Paul's new song, "Fuh You." Here's the song in case you haven't heard it yet:
Well, here's the way I look at it-
My initial reaction to it is "meh." Melody wise, it's actually pretty good and if he'd carried on with a more "Paul" feel and good lyrics, it would be good. But I feel like with the lyrics, he sorta didn't really try. That doesn't matter, because it's not his worst, really. I think this song was a sort of an experiment to see if he could sound more "modern," I guess. And if it's part of a musician's experimentation process, I'm cool with it.
To be honest, I think it's just Paul's insecurity about being relevant and "hip," I suppose. If that's the case, he shouldn't worry about it because the people who don't like him are just missing out on something. It's their problem, not his. He shouldn't try to make a song so those people will become a fan of his. He should do what he wants and not what the people want.
A lot of people are like, "OMG this is Paul's worst!!! He's become so bad. I won't be picking up his new LP. His music has become absolutely TERRIBLE! I'm not a Paul fan anymore." Should one song really turn them away from Paul's music? If you're a true fan, you'll just move on from it.
As far I'm concerned, I love Paul more than ever and I'll always love him. I'm excited for his new album. He's a legend and always will be.
By the way, what're you guys listening to? I just listened to Paul's 1970 album "McCartney."
Have a great day, guys.
