Coldness.... wetness.... darkness.... loneliness... that's the first thing i remember.

My name comes next, Arthur Kirkland.

I hear a noise, a growl.

I stand shakily, i yelp and fall to my knees, my left ankle hurts badly.

I hear a roar and brace myself for further injury.

It never comes.

Instead i hear an animal whimper. I open my eyes and look towards a bright white light.

The animal, a wolf i think, runs off.

The glow fades and a girl takes it's place.

She has one white, blue, and gold wing and one black, red, and silver wing. Her hair reaches her ankles and is a deep chocolate brown. Her eyes are the same color. Her skin is white, like China dolls. Her dress is long and pure white. She smiles softly at me. I feel oddly at ease with this girl, but I'm hesitant.

She kneels to my level and holds her hand out to me, "shh now, you're safe now little one," she says. Her voice is soft, like a breeze in the summer, inviting.

I hold my arms out to her. Tears fall down my face. She smiles and gently picks me up, "There," she says as she wraps me in her green cape. Her wings vanish and her outfit is now baggy jeans and a hoodie. She holds me close to her chest, i hear her heartbeat and start to relax. I fall asleep in the woman's arms.

When i wake up I'm in a large, warm bed. The walls are blue and the carpet is black. Silver and gold stars decorate the walls. The door was red. I slowly got out of bed and realized my ankle no longer hurt. I was confused. The door opens and the girl stands there with some food, "hello Arthur, glad to see you are awake, are you hungry?" Her voice is a little louder, and she sounds younger, like a teenager. I'm hesitant to answer but nod slightly. She sets the food on the bed and smiles, "here you go then, i don't know what you like exactly but i took a wild guess."

I giggled and climbed back on the bed and started to eat. I see a soft blue light, i look at it as it floats over to me. I look at it and tilt my head to the side.

"Do you see her?" The girl asks as she looks at me.

I nod, "what is she?"

"That my friend is a fairy, a rain fairy to be exact," she says as the fairy sits on my shoulder. "She wants some of your food," the girl says.

I hand the blue fairy a little berry. The fairy smiles gratefully and eats happily.

Once she's done she kisses my cheek and vanishes, "wow, she's blessed you," the girl says.

"What's your name?" I ask her.

"Hmm? Oh! Sorry! My name is Alex! Alex Cochran." she says as she smiles at me.

"How did you know my name?" He asks.

"It's a secret, for now you've been through quite an ordeal. Tomorrow i will explain what i can. For now just eat then rest ok?"

I nod and continue eating. She smiles and sits on the other side of the bed and gently strokes my hair, "we might need to put you in the tub..." she says.

I look at her, "Tub?"

"Mhm, for a bath, it isn't so bad," she says as she smiles and walks to a door and turns on the light. I look and see pure white tiles.

I get up and walk over to the room.

She smiles at me and turns on a spout of some sort. A large thing starts filling with water. I look at the water and giggle.

She smiles and starts to undress me. I yelp and blush. She laughs softly and sets me in the warm water once she removes all my clothes.

"Relax, I'm not going to hurt you," she says softly. She pulls something out of her pocket and starts to play some music, "this is the Beetles. A rock group from England." She says as a song starts to play.

She starts to pour water on my head. I laugh. She scrubbed something in my hair and it smelled like flowers. She tilts my head back so I'm looking at the ceiling. She pours more water on my head. She has me stand up and started washing my chest, arms, and legs.

"Close your eyes tightly ok? Don't open them until i tell you to," she said.

I nodded and do so. I feel something soft touch my face.

"Hold your breath," she says.

I do so.

Some water pours on my face. "Ok, you can open ypur eyes now," she says.

I smile and open them. She wraps me in a warm fluffy towel. She sets me on a counter and i look in the mirror. I see the girl and myself. My eyes are a bright green, my hair a dirty blonde. I have extremely large eyebrows as well. I look at myself curiously as Alex dries me off.

She carries me to the room again and gets me some clothes. I get dressed and lie down. She lays beside me and pulls me close to her. I fall asleep to the sound of her heartbeat and her breathing.
