After giving my first kiss to Sir. Steven, I felt my whole face heats up as I feel that thumping feeling in my chest. I thinking I'm becoming a deaf because of this silence, awkward silence to be more specific.

I hope it's enough to prove it to him even if it's rush and sudden.

I took a peek to see his reaction and surprisingly his whole cheeks were shaded with red while his eyes were in deep shock that are darted on my red orbs.

Looking down on his lips, I think he was about to say something but he takes it back.

Unexpectedly, we both jolt when we heard to door opens with a loud noise revealing my dad holding his subject book for 3rd years on his side.

At first, I felt scared; "What a day!" he complained then scratches his head as he closes the door behind him, looking so all tired and annoyed. I stood frozen until his gaze landed on us. I gulped a lump and bit my lower lip.

Oh crap. We're caught in the act.

"Ruby!" my dads says as his face lits up. He slowly walks to get near us.

Maybe he didn't notice...

I mentally sighed in relief.

"What are you doing here?" he questions. "Did my son have done 'day dreaming' again, Steven?" my dad added with suspicion.

Since I was in the middle, I nervously looked into my dad's eyes as I think of an excuse.

"I- uh... I.. D-dad...--" I stutter, trying my best not to stutter yet I failed. I felt really scared and nervous that Sir. Steven might tell my dad. As I stutter, my hands grips on the sling of my bag.

My palms started sweatings.

But instead he interrupts me and is the one who speaks to my dad instead.

"Ruby just passed their assignment early including Sapphire's and Wally's. " he excuses, which is true. I felt relief. "That's why Ruby tops in my subject." Realizing that my cheeks slowly heats again from what he just said. My eyes widens in surprise.

Is that a compliment?

Did he just complimented me?!

This thumping noise again! Why won't it stop?

Feeling that my lips quiver from bashfulness.

But I shouldn't be too much happy about what he just complimented. I'm always on top in his subject! But never he said in the whole class that I was, only now.

Though the difference is that we're not in classroom.

"Is that's so? " my dad chuckles then speaks again; "Hey, Steven. Let me tell you this. Last night, the reason why this boy was late is because he stayed up all night doing your assignment!" he laughs making me realize what he has just told Sir. Steven.

My eyes widens from surprise for the second time; "D-dad! " I complained but my dad continued telling almost everything to him.

"When I tried scolding him he said : "I must finish this assignment! I must top on Sir. Steven's subject no matter what!" " I was quite pissed when my dad tried mimicking the statement I said to him last night.

I wasn't thinking right at that time that I said to him my intensions.

[Time Skip]

"I hate you, dad."

"Yeah, yeah..."

"I really hate you, dad."

"Then, I really love you, son."

"Gross. Stop that, dad!" I argued with my dad with fake disgust. Until now, I'm really pissed that dad really told Sir. Steven about what happened last night.

It was horrible! But the horrible I felt few minutes ago disappeared when unexpectedly Sir. Steven gave out a giggle that made me stood frozen.

Sir. Steven joined my dad laughing. I was surprised seeing for the first time that Sir. Steven really giggled. It was one rare opportunity of me.

Remembering that I rewinded the situation earlier, a memory appeared of me confessing to him. My eyes widens while feeling that my cheeks are getting warmer than my normal temperature.

"Ruby, what's wrong?" my dad asks when he noticed me stopping my tracks, leaving me behind.

I didn't answer at first and tilt my head down. Wishing that my dad won't notice me blushing. Well, can't prevent myself from doing that...

"Nothing... I j-just remembered something... nice." I tried my best not to stutter but I yet again I failed. I walked passed by my dad and left him behind my tracks.

"Nice, you say?" my dad mumbbles; "Mind sharing, Ruby?" he adds with a little tease on his tone.

"No." I said in a fast-cold tone. I gave him a small glare but he gave me a chuckle and a ruffle on the head instead. "Fine."

[Time Skip]

"Ruby!" my mom calls out from the kitchen.

"Yeah...?" I shouted from my bedroom. I was currently studying for the quiz that my dad's going to make tomorrow for the project in our Flying-type subject on Ms. Winona's.

"Dinner's ready!" she says then a scent of cooked dinner just entered my room. It made me jump off my chair rushed into the dining room to sit down and ready myself to eat.

After finishing our dinner I quickly dashed into my room to continue my work. Since I only have few more hour, 2 hours to be specific, to finish my works before bedtime I should be done by 10 and I'll go to sleep so dad won't get mad at me again.

If I sleep late again he might spread again if I blab my intensions for the second time. No. Not on my watch this time! But maybe I won't for now 'cause there's no given assignment for us to do that Sir. Steven has said! Ha!

"Done reviewing dad's subject!" I exclaimed and stretched my arms up, placing down my pen on my study table along with my notes.

'It's really annoying that even if it's my dad who's making the quiz I still haven't got the chance to have a perfect score even in exams too.' I stared at the ceiling like it's my nemesis.

I then glance to look at the time on the wall clock. It's 9:30 pm.

Still have some few more minutes before 10:00pm.

Feeling half satisfied I took out my laptop out of its case and plop myself on my bed. I lift its screen on my lap started typing stuffs.

"Fly-ing type po-ke-mons." I said as I typed it and pressed the button 'search' on Google a lot of Pokemon appeared. Some seemed came from other regions and some were here.

"I've known most of them." I muttered and searched a different one. As I was typing I didnt realized that I'm already typing 'Steven Stone'.

But in the end, I ended up entering it.

Seeing the results, I didn't expect it to be a lot.

Yes, a lot it is.

It's quite surprising but some results were just some random polls of the most handsomest men in all Hoenn and some were mixed with Kanto's, Johto's, Hoenn's, Sinnoh's, Unova's and Kalos' most top or handsome man.

Curiousity got me so I clicked the mixed ones. Resulting that that top one is very as expected as always.

Sir. Steven's photo on the Rank 1 in Hoenn Region. While I scrolled down looking at the Rank 2 with the name of Volkner from Sinnoh Region.

Haven't met him yet but I commonly hear his name in our town.

Then next is in Rank 3 naming Green Oak a gym leader in Kanto. Next Rank 4 naming Red the Kanto's Champion.

As I kept scrolling down, seeing some familiar faces and some are not, my eyes felt heavy signing of me getting tired. A yawn escape my mouth and quickly I turned off my laptop placing it on the top of my desk.

I glance on the wall clock and it's 10 past now.

I fixed myself on my bed and fell asleep.

[Time Skip] School Grounds

I yawned while walking by myself in to the Hoenn's PokeSchool. Just heading to school takes me a whole 30 minutes just to get here. I haven't got enough sleep lately as I noticed. My bedhead's still present but I just comb it few times before wearing my white hat.

Because of that---

"Ruby!" Wally calls out running towards my direction. I cut off my tracks and turn my back seeing him huffing really hard. I sighed as he is finally came beside me.

"You really shouldn't run early in the morning, Wally. It's not like I'm avoiding you or anything." I scolded this green-head friend of mine. Long enough, I very knew that he has an asthma and an easy-to-get-sick person.

But long enough is enough to know him about his situation and my rights of being concern.

He just gave me an apologetic smile after that; "Ruby, there's something I need to tell you." he says, hinting some seriousness, after regaining his breath. I raised an eye brow when curiosity started chasing me. We went upstairs first to head to our classroom before I asked; "And what's that?"

"It's abou---"

"RUBY!! WALLY!!" alas, Wally failed when another person joins in. Oh, let me change that term 'joins'. It's interrupt.

My red ruby eyes darted on my childhood friend who has blue glimmering sapphire eyes.

I mentally let out a groan.

"Hey, Sapp."

"Sapphire!" we both greeted to her while she forms a smile on her face. My body suddenly shivered.

'Why do I feel strange? Something like later on will bad happens... ' I thought; but I wasn't referring to Sapphire.

"Ruby~" I suddenly snapped out of my thoughts and gazed on Sapphire, who's face is a little bit closer to mine. I took a long step back away from her.

"Are ya alright?" she asks concernly. I avoided her stare, turn my back to her.

"Nothing." was the only word that I've said.

I even heard them murmuring something but none did any of their words went inside my head.

They seemed to be discussing something and leaving me out so I just march away from them to head straight at the classroom.

I placed myself on my seat then hang my sling bag on the side of my table and plop my arms into sleeping position. I then rest my head on my arms to catch up some sleep.

Yes, some sleep.

Today was one hectic. I only slept for 6 hours because I kept having bad dreams that I wake up early - without the sun rising yet - jumping off my bed. Sweat beads rolled down from my head to my chin with my heavy breathings. It happened for I guess 4 to 5 times for this day, I think.

It's was one disturbing dream.

Yet, I couldn't remember what dream it is. How annoying.

I'm really desperately curious to know what is that but a part of me says 'Don't!'. A feeling of Regret, Terror, Lost and Hurt might result to my curiosity - is what it means.

And it has been in my mind for the past weeks. But I just kept shrugging it off as I completely have forgotten about it.

Oddly, any part of that dream didn't even left a single hint or a trace in my head.

How fustrating!

While I was in my train of thoughts, I didn't realize that I completely drifted myself into sleep...

'We need to find these three!'

'We won't make it!'

'Save us!!'

'NOO!!!'

'This can't be happening!!'

'Somebody! Hel---'

'Stop--!!'

I rushed on raising my head when I felt myself drowning. I huffed heavily and sweat beads starts to roll down from my head to my chin. And by instinct, I covered my ears as I kept hearing those unknown cries. This heavy feeling is painful.

I clenched my shirt on my chest like that dream almost gave me a heart attack.

"Ruby!"

"Ruby! What happened?" I heard Wally's and Sapphire's voices near by. I raised my head to slowly look at them but it seemed that my vision's quite blurry. Well, I know that I have poor eye-sight yet this blurriness is different.

"Ruby! Why are you crying?" Wally concernly ask me while rubbing my back on circle motion. Oh, so that's why. Wait, I- I'm c-crying?!

"What happened? Did ya have a bad dream?" Sapp asks, not in a mock way but in a motherly way.

I quickly wiped off my said-tears and shook my head, lying that I didn't. But it looks like they didn't buy it.

But good thing they didn't tried to force me to spill the beans. As if I'd tell them when I don't particularly remember what I've dreamt of.

They sure understand my situation.

After they comforted me, our long-awaited advisor has arrived.

I noticed that the heavy feeling had disappeared and was replaced by nervousness all of the sudden.

'Oh, for Arceus' sake! I've forgotten about what had happened yesterday!!' I mentally panicked as I sweat buckets.

When we finished the morning greetings, Sir. Steven started checking the attendance. One by one until finally he mentions my name with his uh-so-melting voice.

"Ruby."

"P-pr-present!" I thought of acting normal however I ended up stuttering, which I always do when it comes to him.

"Good thing that you're not late today." he remarks and that made me blush. The class made a giggle out of that.

What am I, a laughingstock?

Good for him that he can act normal after what I have done on him yesterday. Maybe he had experienced that to some bitc-- I mean some women that's why he's used to be kissed. But maybe on this case he was surprised that a boy like me kissed him.

Hmmph! No way that'll happen!

And, please, Ruby! Stop getting jealous! It's not like you're already in a relationship with him or anything!

"Well, I'll be going now. Wait for your next teacher, class." Sir. Steven informs us as he heads out with his subject book on his left hand. And his first statement seemed to refer to me...

Geezz!! For the love of Arceus! Ruby, stop getting your hopes up!

"Hey, Wally." I called him infront of me while our other classmates started chattering after our advisor's present's gone out of sight.

"Yeah?"

"Who's our next teach.?"

"Sir. Wattson." he answers, "But I thought he had some urgent problem? He already came back?" I exclaimed curiously. I had thought that he'd take long on his urgent business.

"Well, yeah. I guess you could say that again." Wally mused.

When I was about to ask something to Wally, Sir. Wattson just came in our classroom with his natural cheeky smile.

We did the greetings again and then Sir. Wattson started the discussion about his electric-type subject.

I'm really curious why did Sir. Wattson didn't attend yesterday. Lately, I've been curious a lot. Guess that's that?

[Time Skip] Lunch Time

Two subjects had passed, after Sir. Wattson's, and now is what I've been craving for. Lunch Time.

Remembering what Sir. Wattson had told us to research about I thought of discussing it to Sapphire and Wally on the rooftop, our most hang out.

"Does any of us knows what kind of electricity or current or whatsoever that an electric pokemon has?" I asked them with problematic face then I munched up my lunch.

Both of them also did made a problematic face.

It sure really bothered us, even the whole class were left curious what kind of electricity is it.

Maybe that's the reason Sir. Wattson made us to research for it.

"Don't know..." "Me neither..." at the same time, we sighed and just finish up our pack lunch.

"Hey, did you guys have studied on my dad's subject?" I ask them while warping my pack lunch using a handkerchief to ready to leave.

But instead a nice answer from them what I heard was their gasps.

"Shoot! I forgot!" they both syncronized that me burst out laughing.

"Aw, too bad. I already have studied and you two haven't!" I teased them for fun; "And I remeber that our next subject is his subject." I added and I just watched them rushing on fixing their pack lunches then dash on leaving the rooftop, also leaving me behind.

"We'll be going first, Ruby! Bye!" they noted and left the rooftop door open then Sapphire's face suddenly pops out on the side. "You better go down too or you'll be scold by your dad again." she reminded and I signed her that I'll be there for few moments.

She took it as my answer and made a smile on her face then her head disappears.

I let out a small chuckle and leaned on the railings of the rooftop.

I glance on my Pokegear on my right wrist and still I have few more minutes before my dad's subject. Then an unexpected wind blows on my face. The silence.

"I wonder what Sir. Steven thought of what I've done to him yesterday..." I said out loud; 'But I'm not ready yet to know his answer...' I thought and change my gaze down to see an empty field.

'Now that I think about it, we haven't done our physical fit---!!' my thoughts were interrupted when a sound of a door closing with a creaking sound. I was off guard for few moments and I didn't realize someone's in here too.

I check who that was and was taken aback seeing this certain person infront of me right now.

"S-sir. Steven?!" I exclaimed as my body automatically straightens up. Something's beating loudly in my chest making me troubled breathing. My cheeks felt warm and my eyes were lock on his.

"W-what ar-are you d-doing he-here...?" I stutter and tried breaking our eye contact by returning my gaze on the field below.

"Ruby." just hearing my name from him made my whole body flinch.

I know I'm blushing! I know! I know! For Arceus' sake! Why the hell am I panicking for?!

When he called my name I immediately turn my back on him. "Y-yes?" but his answer were not words but a sound of his foot steps getting closer to my location.

This feeling of mine saying that I sound ran and avoid him because it's really a shame of me to see his face after what I've done and a side of me kept pushing me to him.

I heard his slow foot steps stopped on my back. He's really behind me!!

I gripped on the railings to least my nervousness.

"Ruby," again, he calls my name however this time with his low monotone. Still my body flinches. "I think your confession needs an answer." he whispers on to my ear sending some shivers down through my spine.

Didn't know Sir. Steven could be like this. Didn't he just realize that someone might see us?! Is he this... this...

"W-what do you m-mean?" I ask but my voice cracked. He lets out a chuckle and he whispers something on my ear making my heart beat in a rapid motion.

"My answer is, 'Sure' ".
