Hey my dear readers! I'm back with another oneshot! Sooooo, this one doesn't focus on any relationships specifically as I usually have the plots set up. This is my different approach that I'm trying to make, then my regular 'focus on just the romantic thing' kinda thing...

But it does have some moments of short and sweet moments between each couple.

ANNNNYYYWAAAAYYY!!!! ON WITH THE REALLY LONG ONESHOT FOR SOME UNKNOWN REASON! (I couldn't find a proper place to stop and I kept adding on lol 😂)

Gasps and yelps could be heard in mostly every house as one by one the lights went out. The city lost power due to some unexplainable reason. People that work in this type of field still don't know why the power outage happened or how to solve the problem just yet.

So because of that, everyone will be left in the dark for who knows how long.

Meanwhile, when the lights went out the five girls were walking in the city to go to the mall at night. They didn't have time to go earlier today, because they were occupied with other jobs. All of them had a show tomorrow. The girls are going to sing for children at the hospital.

As they were walking down the sidewalk, everything turned pitched black.

"Yume!"

"Laura!"

"Mahiru!"

"Koharu!"

"Ako!"

The girls all shouted each other's names hoping they weren't alone.

"I think we have everyone accounted for." Laura says, thinking.

"Well of course we do! I knew everyone was here from the start!" Ako huffed and crossed her arms.

"And you figured that out because you're a cat and can see in the dark better than us." Mahiru teased Ako, while smirking.

"Why you— Nay—"

Ako started to attack Mahiru, but Laura stood in between them and glared at Ako the best she could. By now their eyes were a little adjusted to the dark, but they still couldn't see very well.

"Ako this is no time for attacking your friends! We have to find a building to go in to stay there until the lights come back on."

Koharu giggles at Ako's cat actions. "Kawaii..." She murmurs to herself.

Ako was just about to reply to Laura, before the four girls all heard a loud, frustrated cry of "No" be heard.

It was from Yume.

"Ehh? Yume is that you?" Koharu wonders.

"Koharu!!!" Yume immediately hugs Koharu and cries on her shoulder.

"What's wrong Yume?" Koharu asks concerned.

In between sobs Yume whines, "I'm hungry and I tried to call our favorite pastry shop, but calls aren't possible because of the power outage!" (A/N: Just go with it)

Everyone sweatdrops at their friend. "Really Yume! THAT'S the thing you're so worried about?!" Laura looks at her unbelievably.

Yume pouts and crosses her arms, looking away from Laura. "I want pastries!"

Laura rolls her eyes and Koharu steps in to speak. "Don't worry Yume. When the power comes back on soon I promise we'll all go get pastries together okay?"

Yume just nods and checks her phone again to turn her flashlight on, so she can see better.

"Oh! Good idea Yume." Mahiru exclaims, before turning hers on to. Everyone else follows suit.

"So we should probably go find a building right?" Ako reminds them.

The rest of them nod and they all start to look around for any building to wait in.

After moments of attempting to see in the dark with only their phone's as flashlights, Koharu spots a small cafe on the side street.

"Girls, look I'm sure we could stay there! And Yume your in luck it's a place where you can get food."

At the mention of food, Yume turns around and sees where she is pointing at. Her eyes go wide and they sparkle. Yume starts to bolt for the building and the rest of the girls run after her calling her name, telling her to slow down.

As Yume got to the door and was about to enter...

BAM! *•*

She runs straight into the door and mutters an "Ow", before falling anime style onto the ground.

The girls rush up to her and crowd around her, concerned.

~~~~GOING BACK TO WHEN THE LIGHTS FIRST WENT OFF IN THE BEGINNING~~~~

BOYS POV.

The boys are in their dorm when the sudden power outage happens.

"AHHH!"

Asahi screams while falling off the couch and onto the floor. He was watching a horror movie at the time when the lights went out.

"Asahi! Seriously?!" Kanata sighs.

"What, It scared me! Watching a horror movie and then all of a sudden the lights go out, is not a fun thing to experience okay?!" Asahi replies seriously.

"Ya, but screaming like a girl is okay?" Subaru asks smirking at him and raising an eyebrow.

"Come on guys!" The blonde boy pouts, while Subaru and Kanata chuckle at him.

While the two boys were having a little fun with Asahi, they suddenly hear a noise coming from the kitchen. It sounds like a chair being pushed too hard into their kitchen table. Which it was.

"Nozomu...?" Subaru wonders aloud.

Nozomu comes out of the kitchen looking frustrated, but also worried. He holds his phone in one hand and runs his other hand through his hair, while exhaling a breath.

"Nozomu what's wrong? Something bothering you?" Kanata asks curiously.

The other boys never usually see their friend lose his princely vibe, only when something is really bothering him.

He lets out another sigh and glances at his phone again.

"It's Laura."

"Ya? What about her?" Subaru questions.

Nozomu gives him a quick glare before speaking.

"She isn't answering her phone! Well, she isn't able to because of the sudden outage. Which means this is bad, but not just for her but for the other girls as well!" He explains.

"The other girls...?" Asahi wonders, while tilting his head.

"Yes Asahi! You know, all of our girlfriends and your little sister."

"Well ya I knew that but what do you mean by it being bad for them?"

"Because their not at their dorm right now!"

"What?! Wait, Nozomu, then where are they?" Subaru questions, nervousness starting to drip in his tone of voice.

Before Nozomu can answer, Kanata cuts in.

"They're at the mall."

All the boys turn to look at Kanata with different facial expressions.

"Did Ako tell you Kanata?" Nozomu asks.

"Ya she did, but that was yesterday she told me. We were both busy with work yesterday and today that it slipped my mind. And I didn't give it a second thought of where she would be, because of course I didn't know the power outage would happen."

"Oh no what are we gonna do guys?! What if their in trouble or are lost or need our help or can't get out of the mall or aren't even in the mall..." Asahi starts to ramble, getting worked up.

"Asahi calm down! I'm sure their fine, they can handle themselves. ...But maybe we should go find them just in case." Subaru added the last part.

"We should Subaru. If my database is correct then in the pitch black dark, they have many troubles to come by them. You don't know who could be lurking in the shadows..." Kanata explains calmly.

"I agree with Kanata guys. Let's go." Nozomu agrees and goes to get ready with Kanata right behind him.

Subaru turns to Asahi. "Call Mahiru's boyfriend, Tsumugu. Tell him to meet us at the academy's entrance and we'll meet him there."

He makes his way to the dorm door also, leaving Asahi to grab his phone off of the floor and dial Tsumugu's number.

"Hey Tsumugu! Come to the academy's entrance okay? I'll explain everything when you get there...oh- and hurry alright?"

~~GOING BACK TO PRESENT TIME~~

"....Yume! Yume! Y-U-M-E! YUME!" The girls shout her name in pure worry.

Laura kneels down to feel Yume's pulse. She sighs in relief, glancing up at her friends. "Yep, she's fine. Still breathing and everything."

Mahiru lets out a sigh of relief. "Thank goodness!"

"Koharu you know you can let me go now right?" Ako questions her, sounding a little annoyed, but blushes a little by the sudden closeness since she's not used to it.

Koharu is practically clinging on to Ako for dear life.

"S-sorry A-ako- It just- it just looked like she really slammed into the door with full force..."

Ako, more on the gentler side, pushes Koharu off of her and looks down at Yume. "Ya, well she's fine so no need to worry."

"Ya but she's passed out, I don't really think that equals okay." Mahiru comments frowning at Ako.

"Doesn't it look like I know that Mahiru I'm not blind?"

"Ya but how many lives will you loose before that happens." Laura smirks.

"Ya you know, you only have 9 lives, but you've probably used up 4 or 5 already by cat attacking people." Mahiru smirks as well.

At these remarks, Ako's face turns red with anger and she points at both of them, shouting away.

"Shut up you two! I'll have you know that-"

"Wait, so when did we start dubbing Ako's cat side as 'cat attacks'?" Koharu interrupted unconsciously, before Ako had a chance to reply to Mahiru and Laura's teasing sides.

"What did you say?! 'Cat attacks'? What even is that?" Ako asks annoyed.

"Ohhhh you know..." Mahiru starts speaking.

Then Laura continues for her. "It's when you always bring out your paws and hiss 'NAYHHH!'" Laura imitated Ako's other persona to the best of her ability.

Koharu giggles as she now is sitting with her legs underneath her beside the still unconscious Yume.

Mahiru giggles as well and starts to imitate Ako too after Laura. "See Laura... I thought it went more like this..." Mahiru makes it more sassy and angry then before.

By this time Laura is laughing so hard, she fell to the ground next to Koharu, leaning on her back for support. Koharu is also trying to stifle a laugh too, with her hand covering her mouth.

Meanwhile, Ako is livid at the moment. Her face is completely crimson with embarrassment as well. She doesn't say anything, but just sits on the ground as well with her arms crossed.

The three girls look at each other nervously after seeing how their red-headed friend reacted.

Mahiru and Laura take a step forward with guilty eyes and a sad frown on their faces.

"U-um Ako...we were just teasing you know?"

"Ya Ako! We'd really love your 'cat attacks'!"

"Mhmm! They really bring out your personality!"

"And it makes you look even more cute than you already are!" Koharu chimes in, after Laura and Mahiru finish apologizing. They figured they'd hit a nerve when Ako wouldn't even try and fight back.

Ako exhales a sudden big sigh she was holding in and glances at her friends. She stays silent for a couple moments before ultimately deciding to speak. "T-thanks...and you're forgiven...I suppose..." She barely whispers it as she blushes red.

"Huh? Sorry we didn't catch that." Laura says, holding her hand to her ear.

Ako huffs and stares at them both before saying loudly, "I said you were forgiven!"

Mahiru and Laura chuckle to themselves, before looking at each other and smirking again.

They both look at Ako and slowly tip-toe to her.

"Huh? W-what guys?"

There was a pause before Mahiru shouts just two words, to make Ako try to scramble away as her eyes widen.

"Tickle Fight!"

Both of the girls tackle Ako and start to tickle her. Ako begins to laugh, but repeatedly tries to yell at them to knock it off. It doesn't work.

"HEY GIRLS!"

All of a sudden, voices of what seems to belong to 5 males, can be heard from somewhere behind them.

M4 and Tsumugu run towards them with pure worry plastered on their faces.

Flashlights are shined at the 5 girls to finally, after what seems like hours, give them light. Because for some odd reason, they turned their phone's flashlights off when they found the building and later forgot to turn them back on.

"Are you girls alright?" Nozomu inquires as he mainly looks at Laura, who is staring back up at him with slight relief in her eyes.

They all look down to see Laura and Mahiru on top of Ako and Koharu who was sitting on the ground next to Yume, checking her pulse again just to make sure she's still okay.

Oh and speaking of Yume...

"What happened to tomato?!" Subaru rushes to Yume's side and kneels down. He lifts her body up to lay her head on his chest and had his hands on her waist, holding her up.

Koharu pulls her hand away from Yume's wrist startled when suddenly seeing Subaru next to her.

"Uh...um, Yume kind-of,maybe,accidentally..." She pauses before speaking hesitantly.

"...Ran full force into the store's doors and knocked herself unconscious." Koharu replies nervously.

"What?! How?!" He looks at her seriously.

"W-well, I-i think, Yume forgot that the d-doors open by them-themselves and that the doors wouldn't o-open because of the p-power outage, so she k-kinda r-ran into it..." Koharu stutters while trying to explain.

"Weren't you girls supposed to look out for each other or something? You know, make sure this kind-is thing doesn't happen?" Subaru questions the poor flustered girl even more, his eyes turning into slits.

"Subaru that's enough!"

Asahi cuts in before Koharu can react and comes from behind to wrap his arms around Koharu's waist. He then rests his chin on her shoulder.

"E-eh! Asahi!" Koharu blushes a bright red, thankful that it's still dark outside.

Before Subaru can say anything, Kanata cuts in.

"Look, Yume is waking up."

Sure enough as everyone peers at the cheery girl to get a good look, they all see her stirring awake and her eyes start to flutter open.

"Owww...where am I...?" Yume rubs her head and feels like she's resting on something soft.

"Huh?" She glances slowly and sees Subaru above her.

She jumps in shock, but Subaru holds her tightly.

"It's alright tomato. You were just unconscious."

Yume looks around at everyone and then looks back at the door.

"Ohhhh ya now I remember!" Yume sweatdrops.

"Stupid door..." she mutters to herself, sending daggers at the door as though it can see her.

"Yume!" Mahiru, Laura, and Ako all shout before they tackle Yume into a hug, Subaru ends up being crushed under the girls.

The boys try to stifle a laugh, but they end up not being able to hold it in.

"Hey girls! Sorry I passed out, hehe..."

"It's alright!"

"Ya don't worry, we weren't doing much anyway."

"Ya just bored is all..."

"Mhmm..."

Laura and Mahiru both say, pretending to brush it aside as the three girls release Yume from the hug. Yume sits up more and quickly realizes Subaru was underneath her the whole time, so she helps him sit up giving him a apologetic smile.

"What? Ohhh no you two don't! I'm not going to just brush off the fact that you were teasing me the whole time!" Ako accusingly points at the two girls.

"You both were teasing Ako, princess?" Nozomu asks curiously.

"Oooo about what?" Asahi wonders, his eyes sparkling with excitement. He hugs Koharu more tightly, to which she tells him she can't breathe. He then loosens his grip and apologizes by giving her a quick kiss on the back of her neck.

"Cat Attacks."

Koharu, Laura, and Mahiru said at the same exact time. They all turned to each other and giggled.

"'Cat Attacks'?" What on earth are those?" Tsumugu wonders also.

After the girls explain to the boys what that name means, they immediately start cracking up laughing again.

"My my kitty...that really does suit you..." Kanata smirks at Ako and squats down to her eye level, whispering into her ear.

Ako grumbles something, but it's too hard to comprehend. Blushing of how close Kanata is to her, she pushes him back. "S-shut up..."

Kanata continues to smirk as he leans in and unexpectedly kisses Ako.

For a couple of seconds silence fills the streets. During this short time frame, Mahiru gets up and goes over to hug Tsumugu and kiss his cheek softly. They both smile at each other, as he holds her hand in his.

Laura engulfs Nozomu in a hug, toppling them over and sending them to the ground. Laura sits up and chuckles nervously. "Sorry."

"No problem my princess." The prince said as he picked her up to put her in his lap. She blushes at the action and buries her face in Nozumu's chest, embarrassed.

After the brief reunions ended, there was a couple seconds of silence through the still empty streets.

"Hey everyone..." Yume starts, breaking the comfortable silence, while looking up at the little restaurant.

"Look!"

As everyone scans the area they've noticed that the lights have suddenly come back on and the door that once took down Yume, now are opening automatically like nothing ever happened.

"Oh look the power is back on!" Asahi announced for everyone.

"Yay! Now we can go get food! I'm starving!" Yume cheers and licks her lips, while rubbing her stomach.

Everyone laughs at her sudden need for food, but nods in agreement.

"Let's go get some pastries!"

Yume suddenly cries out, feeling like her old self again. She flies up off the ground from sitting and announces. She jumps up in the air raising one of her fists in the air as well in excitement.

"Ya! Let's go get food, I'm completely starving! That horror movie made me hungry!" Asahi pulls away from Koharu and jumps up in the air as well.

"Finally someone appreciates food as much as I do! Let's go Asahi!" Yume hops up and down excitedly while clasping Asahi's hands in hers.

"Of course I do Yume!" Asahi shouts happily.

Suddenly an idea comes into Yume's head. "Oh my gosh Asahi! Guess what?!"

"What?"

"We are now Foodmates!!!" Yume squeals excitedly and smiles ear to ear.

Asahi does the same and he hops up and down along with Yume. "Yes, yes, yes! Foodmates it is Yume!"

At this little announcement, everyone playfully rolls their eyes at the two food fanatics, who choose to call themselves 'Foodmates'.

"Seriously... only you two would like something like that..." Subaru comments pointing up at them.

"Well duh Subaru!" Asahi rolls his eyes.

"Come on Foodmate! Let's go get some pastries now!" Yume shouts excitedly again as Asahi nods his head in agreement.

They both start running to the cafe where they can indulge in all the food they want.

The rest of the group follows after them and they all shout in front of them to their two friends who ran along ahead of them.

"Don't eat all the food before we get there!"

"Asahi!"

"Yume!"

"Sorry we can't hear you at the moment there are too many decisions to make in a small amount of time." Asahi sticks his head out from inside the cafe.

"Come on Asahi let's go! The lines are getting long now!" Yume pouts and pulls Asahi inside.

"Foodmates got to stick together at times like these!"

Everyone again rolls their eyes and some giggle, as they all enter the cafe.

After a very dark day, they're gonna need all the bright and delicious pastries they can get.

Too bad it's not a 'all you can eat' pastry buffet.
