Chan was sitting in front of Jeongin's gravestone, looking down at it with tears in his eyes. He wasn't at the funeral so he decided to stop by Jeongin's grave the next day to pay his respects.
Chan let his fingers slide over Jeongin's name. Yang Jeongin, carved into stone. For everyone to know that he was gone.
The roses Chan had brought was laying on top of the soil, looking as lifeless as Chan himself, even though Chan had just bought them.
Woojin was standing a few feet away from Chan, watching the younger cry silently. He was hesitant on whether to leave before Chan noticed his presence or if he should explain his actions to the aussie.
Chan sighed heavily, standing up. He had been sitting there for 45 minutes, just staring at Jeongin's grave. The Australian turned around, feeling his heart break once he spotted his hyung.
Chan tried to walk away but Woojin ran up to him, stopping him before he got away. Chan's wound kept him from running away, much to Chan's dismay.
"Please, Chan, let me explain why I did it." Woojin begged, grabbing Chan's hands in his.
Chan pulled his hands out of Woojin's grip, getting ready to walk away. Woojin grabbed the younger's waist, trying to make him stay. Chan reacted by elbowing Woojin in the stomach, making the elder back away while groaning.
"Don't fucking touch me. Leave me alone!" Chan growled.
"Please, just listen. It won't take long. I need you to know why I did it!" Woojin pleaded while holding his sore stomach.
Chan sighed heavily, stopping in his tracks. He turned around, looking Woojin dead in the eyes.
"You get one minute." Chan angrily said, sitting down on the grass.
Woojin smiled slightly and sat down as well.
"When Mr. Yang first found out that I knew about your work he kidnapped my family and forced me to work for him until I had pleased him. He made me give up any information I got out of you, which was almost nothing. As soon as I told him that you had returned Jeongin to his house he told me that he and his colleagues were coming over. They came over, and with them was an unconscious Jeongin. *sob* When you came to my doorstep crying because you couldn't find Jeongin I felt so guilty, because I knew he had been taken because of me. *sob* And then when Seungmin and Felix held you back, your cries and screams broke my heart. I'm so so sorry I didn't help you, but I couldn't. He had my family. *sob* And-and then I h-had to *sob* to shoot Jeongin. I'm so so so so so so sorry I did it. I had to, or else he would have killed you, my family, me and Jeongin, all because I didn't pull the trigger once. *sob* I'm sorry but I had to do it. *I'm also sorry I shot you. I'm so sorry. I had to do it, please believe me. Can you please forgive me for everything? I won't be able to cope if you don't forgive me and block me out of your life."
Woojin was crying into his hands by the end of his explanation. Chan looked at him with furrowed eyebrows and sad eyes. He hesitated for a few moments before he stood up and walked over to the sad boy.
Chan carefully embraced Woojin, running his fingers through the latter's dirty blonde locks. Woojin gripped Chan's upper arm with both hands and held tightly onto it while crying loudly.
Chan's heart broke hearing Woojin's painful sobs. Even though he knew Woojin's heart belonged to Jeongin he couldn't help but feeling a strong bond of love dragging him towards the elder.
"Ssssh, you're ok hyung. Calm dolm. It's alright." Chan whispered in Woojin's ear to calm him down.
"I'm sorry, Chan. I'm so fucking sorry." Woojin said back, crying even harder if it was even possible.
Chan tightened his grip on the elder, holding him tightly.
"Calm down, Woojin baby." Chan softly whispered and pecked Woojin's cheek.
He was aware that he shouldn't be doing that shit, but he couldn't help it. Seeing the boy he loved hurting made his heart hurt as well.
Woojin slowly calmed down, holding Chan tightly. Being in Chan's arms helped him a lot. Having Chan to run his fingers through his hair and whisper sweet words in his ears helped Woojin calm down.
Soon enough the two were sitting in the graveyard, holding each other tightly. They both kept silent, just listening to each other's breaths and the wind flying by them.
Woojin buried his face in Chan's body, holding him tightly. He didn't want to let go, and neither did Chan.
"I'm sorry." Woojin mumbled into Chan's neck, as if he hadn't apologized a thousand times before.
"It's ok." Chan simply answered, looking at Jeongin's gravestone.
"No, it's not ok. I killed him. I killed Jeongin. I killed one of the boys I fell in love with."
The tears were threatening to fall from Woojin's eyes again, but he held it in, not wanting to bother Chan.
"One of the boys?" Chan asked, not quite understanding.
"Yeah *sigh* one of them." Woojin answered, looking away from Chan.
"W-who is the other one?" Chan carefully askdd, hesitation evident in his voice.
Woojin didn't answer right away. He was considering weither telling Chan was a good idea or not.
"It doesn't matter." Woojin simply answered.
The leder stood up, leaving Chan with a cold feeling all over his body from the lack of contact. Chan looked up at Woojin with hopeful yet broken eyes.
"I should get going." Woojin said, turning around.
Chan watched Woojin leave him with a heavy heart. He didn't want to be alone right now, nor did he want Woojin to be alone. They had both lost someone precious and needed comfort and safety.
Chan stood up and ran after Woojin. Once he caught up to the latter he intertwined their fingers and started pulling Woojin towards his car. Woojin followed Chan, not feeling up for another fight.
He silently got into the car, letting Chan take him wherever he wanted. If Chan wanted to kill him, that'd be fine for Woojin. He had killed Jeongin after all. He deserved it.
The car ride was deadly silent. The radio was off and neither of the two boys spoke, let alone breathed too heavily.
Chan parked his car in its usual spot and got out. Woojin mirrored his actions, following Chan into the younger's apartment complex. They both stayed silent, even after having gotten settled into Chan's apartment.
The silence was comfortable for the both of them. Comforting even. They knew that as long as they were together, they didn't go through this all alone. No words were needed.
