"We need to find her!"

"I know Pearl!"

"You said she was gone!"

"I thought she was!"

"At 11:30 at night?!?!"

"Alright you two." A british accent sliced through the air, making the arguing, and slightly hysteric, couple look up. Garnet was leaning on the wall, her glasses off, staring at the two in disapproval. "Stop fighting, I'm going to tell you now that this is your fault. Amethyst you should of told her that you started dating Pearl and you should of told her she was coming so that she could leave prior." She let out a soft sigh, "It's been one day, she couldn't of gotten far, she didn't take her car." 

Pearl stared at the women before looking down at her latina girlfriend, "I hurt her so badly.." She murmured, holding her head, "God I'm such a failure."

"Shut up, no you're not!" Amethyst snapped, "She's.. she's healing. She loved you." Pearl let out a strangled sound at that, tears rolling down her face.

"Pearl what happened? What did you do to Peridot?" Steven asked, staring at the girl.

"I.." Pearl sighed, "It was such a long time ago."

"Peridot, what did she do to you?" Lapis asked, holding the girl close as they laid in bed.

Peridot looked up at her, "It was such a long time ago."

FLASHBACK

Peridot walked into the apartment, drunk and reeking of smoke. "Heya babe." She drawled, looking up at Pearl who was pacing.

"Peridot! Where have you been? I was worried sick!" The women cried, turning around to face her, she tensed, "You're drunk. Again?"

"I'm not drunk, tipsy, but not drunk." Peridot sighed and walked over to her, reaching to touch her but she flinched back, staring at her in utter horror.

"What's wrong?" Peridot asked irritably, raising a brow.

"Peridot... those people are bad for you.. look at what they turned you into!" She covered her mouth, tears streaming down her face. "Don't you care about me?"

"Of course I do!" Peridot cried, staring at her, "Babe no.. don't cry.." She held Pearl close, the two fell against the wall, Pearl holding desperately on the shorter girl. "Pearl, I love you.. you know that. I just.. I.."

Pearl shook her head, "You leave for days at a time, half of the time when you come back your drunk and the other half your angry and ignore me.. Peridot.. we've grown apart.. you know that. You're smart enough to know that."

Peridot looked down at her, "Then lets take a trip-"

"We have! You always get drunk and ruin it or you quit on me!" Pearl pulled away, staring at the girl. "Peridot.. we can't do this.. I can't do this anymore."

"Can't do what anymore?" Peridot asked, but even through her hazy mind she knew exactly what the taller girl meant.

Pearl knew she knew because she smiled sadly before pressing a gentle kiss, a goodbye kiss, on her lips and walked out, leaving Peridot alone.

End of Pearls Flashback, Peridots continues 

That night Peridot sobbed and sobbed, crying so hard that she puked everywhere, passed out and woke up with Amethyst screaming over her but she blacked out.

Next she woke up in the hospital, she felt empty and dull. 

Amethyst walked in, "Peri? You okay?"

Peridot, once so happy and cheerful, now gazed at her with foreign eyes, blank of any emotion what so ever.

"Never better."

End of Peridots Flashback

 Amethyst stared at Pearl, "That's brutal, you left her alone?"

Pearl sighed shakily, she had moved into the living room and was sitting on the couch, nodding, "I couldn't bring myself to stay." She whispered, "I'm so selfish!" She wiped her tears away but more replaced them.

Amethyst exchanged glances with Garnet before they both looked at Pearl.

"We need to find her. Now."

"She left you?"

Peridot nodded, "She was so disgusted with me that she couldn't leave when I was sober.. sure I remembered but.."

Lapis frowned and kissed her forehead, making the girl shove her away. "Don't."

Great. Back to square one. Lapis thought, but then shoved it away, how dare she be so selfish when Peridot was hurting. She awkwardly stare at the girl, not knowing what she'd allow, before the blonde sighed, "Can I lay in here alone?" she asked softly, "I'm not going to school, just ask the professors to supply me with work." 

Nodding, Lapis turned, moving towards the door before she turned, "I'll text you if it's me at the door, I'm locking it so no one tries to come and kidnap you." She said, then retreated, grabbing her bag. 

True to her word, she locked the door but then stopped. There's no way in hell she was going to leave Peridot here all alone.

She walked back inside and dropped her stuff onto the ground, fished her phone out of her pocket and texted someone she knew wouldn't ask questions. 

Lapis: Sapphire?

Savage: Yeah?

Lapis: can you bring me two papers from each each of my classes, I'm not going to be there.

Savage: You sick?

Lapis: Pearls back. Peridot saw her.

Savage: And now she's hiding out at your house

Lapis: ...

Savage: god damn it Lapis... 

Lapis: Don't tell Garnet or anyone!

Savage: You know I won't but your a fucking idiot

Lapis: Love you too.

She slipped her phone into her pants and walked back into the room, "I'm not leaving, Sapphires going to drop our stuff off.." She gazed at the frail body of Peridot, who had her back to the Hawaiian. "Okay.." Came her soft reply, unmoving. 

"Peridot, do you wanna cuddle?" Lapis asked, moving forward to stand next to the bed. 

"No." Her shoulders tensed, her voice came out a rasp, hoarse and stiff. The word held so much remorse and hate, so much pain, it hurt Lapis.

It hurt Lapis to see the usually so cold and calculating, the ruthless and cruel Peridot, reduce to such a despicable and weak state. 

Sighing, Lapis walked away, wanting to give the hurting girl some privacy.

Sapphire sighed quietly, earning the attention of her girlfriend, "You okay Saphy?" Ruby asked, light brown eyes gazing at her with worry. 

Sapphire glanced at her with ice blue eyes, "Yeah, I'm good." She whispered, kissing her cheek, making her blush. Ruby smiled and kissed her back before trailing it down onto her neck, Sapphire quickly put a stop to this as the professor was staring at them.

"Not here Rubes." She chuckled quietly before whispering, "Though, I would love to."

"Sapphire.." Ruby groaned quietly, gazing at her with lust-filled eyes. Sapphire giggled before she mouthed "Later."

The bell overhead rang and Sapphire got up, heading towards her next class. She hadn't decided what to do with her life so she was just getting her core classes out of the way, her next class was English.

She sat down next to Amethyst, who looked worried. "Hey Sapphire?" She asked after a few moments.

"Yeah?"

"Have you seen Peridot? She.. she disappeared." 

Guilt stabbed at Sapphire as she lied, "No, I haven't."

"Has Lapis?" 

Sapphire paused, "She mentioned Peridot, but only said that she was adorable." Wasn't a total lie, Lapis did gush about Peridot allot. 

Amethyst sighed exasperatedly, "I fucked up. I should of told her, I should of told her I was dating Pearl. I should of told her that she was coming to visit. I should of fucking told her!" She punched the desk, making a couple of students look up in shock. 

Sapphire bit her lip, "Hey. Hey, stop that." She reached over and touched Amethyst gently, making her tense. "You're hands are fucking cold." She muttered, making the pale girl chuckle. "I have Raynaud's, you know that." 

Amethyst offered a weak smile, but worry and concern glowed all-to-brightly. Sapphire forced her gaze away and began to take notes.

"Pearl, come on. We need to do something, I asked Sapphire she didn't know, I asked Ruby, she didn't know, I asked everyone I fucking know! Not even Jasper knows and she's Peridots bestfriend! She's literally sobbing because she's so worried!" 

Pearl sighed as she blew out a puff of smoke, "I know, Ame, trust me." She said softly, "It's too early to get the cops involved, we wait till tomorrow, if there are no signs of her by lunch, we call okay?" She turned her gaze to the frantic latina. Said latina looked back at her, before she nodded, whispering:

"Okay."
