Peridot sighed helplessly, during the week her and Lapis had been hanging out more and more that Peridot felt weird being without the annoying swimmer. 

She also recognized this feeling in her chest that she refused to believe.

She could not fall in love.

Not now.

Not ever.

Not again.

Peridot sighed again before getting up, it was the 23rd now, midterms are coming up in a week and Peridot was more than prepared. She just hoped that no bullshit came up that distracted her from her vigorous and aggressive studying.

She stared at the words on her text book, taking only the important information and jotted it down in terms she'd understand. That's when a knock at the door knocked her out of her thoughts.

"Come in!" 

Surprisingly, it wasn't Lapis like Peridot had (hoped) assumed but instead it was Jasper. 

"Hey Jasp. What's up?" Peridot muttered, closing her book and sitting up (she was on the floor). 

"Erm, me and Amethyst we're going to go to Funland I was wondering if you wanted to go." Jasper smiled slightly, "You've been studying pretty hard so I thought.."

Peridot stared at him for a second before sighing, "Fine. I'll go." 

Jasper smiled widely, "It's 4:30, we were going to leave around 6ish so you got a few more hours to shower, you stink." She stuck her tongue out and laughed. Peridot looked up at her, "So says the one that reeks of sweat and rusty iron." She retorted, "Go away Tiger."

Jasper grinned before she turned and walked out, leaving Peridot alone. The blonde stood still for a few moments before she sighed, "Yami!" 

The aforementioned girl stuck her head in the room, her yellow blonde hair messy, "Hmm?" 

"Find my flannel and some jeans, I'm taking a shower." Peridot murmured before walking past her into the bathroom as Garnet walked out, "Peridot." she greeted with a small smile.

"Garnet, how are you?" 

"Good, nice hickey." she smirked slightly, making Peridot blush. Of course Lazuli had to make out with her and of course she had to leave her mark.

"It was a bug bite." Peridot protested weakly, blushing harder when Garnet smirked and nodded, "Yes, of course. Enjoy you're shower." With that, the dark skinned girl walked away, going into her room that smelled like cinnamon, it was subtle though so it made her room relaxing to be in. 

Sighing slightly, Peridot walked into the bathroom and stripped, locking the door. 

She stepped into the shower and turned the knob to her desirable heat and let out a soft sight of content when the warm water soaked her body. Smiling slightly, she grabbed her body wash that she shared with Steven, squeezed a dollop on her hand and began to rub the solution on her body and shaved her legs and underarms. Washing the razor out she set it on the shelf containing a red-black on that was Garnets, a purple one of Amethysts, a light red one of Steven, and her own light green one. Sighing, she washed the soap off then grabbed her shampoo squeezing some in her mane and rubbed it around before she washed it off; doing the same with the conditioner. She turned the shower off and walked out, grabbing her towel, which was the same color as her razor- as was everyone else's-  and dried herself off; she noticed that the door was open a crack and saw her clothes on the counter next to the sink and guessed that Yami had picked the lock to deliver them. 

She slipped on her gray bra and gray panties, then her plaid green flannel and ripped jeans. She looked into the mirror and dropped her towel on her head before rubbing it wildly, making her flat hair fluff up again. She pulled the towel off and draped it over the curtain pole to dry before she combed through her hair and then walked out, sighing slightly. She messed with her necklace and grabbed her phone that was charging and noticed it was 5. 

She looked around for a minute, trying to decide what to do before she walked back into her room and took a 45 minute map.

The temperature was great, not to cold, not to hot, perfect flannel weather in Peridots opinion. She walked into the Funland entrance way and saw Jasper and Lapis talking, Lapis was laughing and nudging the girl.

Jealously made Peridot growl and rush forward, "Hey Jasper, Lazuli." She greeted, smiling slightly.

Lapis looked up then froze, staring at Peridot with an open mouth. "Holy shit." She whispered, thinking Peridot couldn't hear her.

"See something you like Lazuli~?" Peridot grinned at the girl, confidence rising in her chest. Lapis blushed and looked away, "You look good in a flannel."

"Everyone looks good in a flannel." Peridot shrugged and looked up at a grinning Jasper. "You have something to say Tiger?"

Jaspers grin reduced to a smile, "Nope. Nothing at all." She turned, "Amethyst said she was going to raid some of the booths for food, I better check on her and make sure she didn't decide to bathe in cotton candy....again." 

Peridot nodded while Lapis snorted, probably amused by the thought of the chubby latina wrapped in the sugary floss. 

The tall girl disappeared in a crowd of people, leaving Lapis and Peridot alone. The blonde glanced up at the girl before holding out her hand, "Let's go on some roller coasters." She smiled up at the bluenette, who smiled widely and took her hand.

They road a ride called the Alien, which consisted of space themes and flashing green lights. Peridot loved roller coasters, the adrenaline rush from them was addicting, Lapis seemed to have fun as well because she was grinning and laughing as the cart flew through the track. Then they went on a water ride, which soaked them both. Thankfully the staff was passing out towels so they could dry off before they dropped them in a basket full of the soaking rags from previous riders. Then they went on a few more before they stopped for lunch.

"What do you want Laps?" Peridot asked, slightly dizzy from the last ride. Lapis looked up at the menu before looking back at the girl, "Chicken and fries sound pretty good."

Nodding, Peridot ordered a large basket of chicken nuggets and fries with a Dr. Pepper for Lapis and a Mountain Dew for herself. Soon the food was done and they went to a set up table and ate, laughing and cracking jokes.

"Did you see that 'alien'? The effects of that ride was worst than the original Chucky movie!" Peridot laughed, her mouth full of food. Lapis snorted and gave her gentle shove with her shoulder, "That's a classic, fuck you!" She snorted.

Peridot grinned and shoved the rest of the basket towards the swimmer, "Eat up, we're riding on another ride after this."

"Are you trying to get me to throw up?"

"Yes."

With that, Lapis scarfed down the food and finished her drink before throwing the items away and following Peridot throughout the park, looking for rides they hadn't rode yet. 

"Goddamn it, why the fuck..?" Peridot grumbled as they passed yet another ride they already occupied, then something caught her eye.

"FUCK YES!"

She rushed off, making Lapis run to catch up with her and pale. 

There was an old mine shack ride, screams of genuine horror echoed throughout the cavern, the line was somewhat short so Lapis could make out the person filling the mine carts with people and watch the thing go into the dark cave that a single flickering light served for light.

"Fuck this. No." 

"Oh come on Lazuli! I wanna ride it, don't be a pussy." Peridot turned to the girl, who looked terrified. 

"No. Nope. Fuck this. I'm out." The Hawaiian turned to walk off but the German-Irish grabbed her hand, "Lazuli, you can.. hold onto me if you want." She blushed and inverted her gaze to the ground, her feet shuffling nervously. Lapis blushed but then she nodded, "O-okay.."

Peridot smiled and led the girl towards the front of the line where they were put in a mine cart that only them occupied as they were the last two people in line. 

The cart went forward and Lapis could see Peridots eyes practically glow in excitement as a cheesy "scary" voice played over the intercom.

Their were a few jumpscares here and there but then the voice on the intercom began to glitch before it was replaced with a deep, demonic sounded voice that simply said these three bone chilling words.

"Welcome.. to...Hell.." Followed by a very sinister laugh before the cart flew forward, making Lapis scream.

More gory jumpscares were now popping up at the worst of moments and then the mine cart froze in place, Lapis looked around, the lantern hanging off of the metal cart serving as there only light source.

"P-P-Peri.." She whimpered, but the nerd was laughing in excitement, "Dude this is great!" She looked around before she squinted her eyes. "What's that?" 

Lapis turned her gaze to the direction Peridot was looking and felt her heart freeze. There was a person with a very, very bloody knife walking towards them, his head down so they couldn't see his face.

"Peridot." She whimpered.

The blonde was about to reassure her before the person sped up and the mine cart rushed forward right before the person could get them. Lapis let out a choked sobbed and buried her face in Peridots flannel, fat tears soaking the fabric.

Peridot ran her fingers through her hair and rubbed her back as the ride slowed and came to a stop.

"How was.. err is she okay?" The staff member asked, eyeing the sobbing swimmer in concern.

"Yeah, she's fine." Peridot murmured, "Right Laz?"

The girl looked up and nodded, not trusting her voice. The staff member seemed reluctant, but she nodded and helped them out of the cart. Peridot led Lapis away, a wide grin on her face. "I love horror rides! It was so realistic!"

"Too realistic." Lapis muttered, sniffing.  Peridot looked at her before sighing and pulling the girl close, "Calm down.. it was just a ride." She reassured her, kissing her forehead. 

Lapis blushed and then looked towards a pink ride, "Let's go on the Tunnel of Love for shits and giggles." She grinned at the horrified looking nerd.

"Fuck no, that ride is filled with horny teenagers trying desperately to fuck each other." she growled, looking away. 

Lapis pouted, "I went on you're stupid horror ride for you, now you get to come on my ride for me." 

Peridot let out a soft sigh, looking at the girl. She tried to fabricate a reason she couldn't but looking at Lapis's adorable pout and it fell short. She sighed and nodded in acquiesce, letting herself get dragged over by an extremely alacrity Lapis. 

The staff let them go into a cart and Lapis grinned at a very, very unimpressed Peridot.

"Oh cheer up Peri!" She rolled her eyes, nudging the smaller girl. Peridot let out a huff as she looked around the overly exaggerated effects of the ride and groaned, leaning her head back to look at the ceiling. "It's awful." She muttered, but then a song began to place that made her snap her head up.

Peridot grinned, "This song.." She whispered, reaching over to grab Lapis's hand.

Lapis gazed at her curiously, tilting her head cutely.

Peridot sung, smiling at Lapis, making the girl blush intensely.

Peridot continued to sing, Lapis could feel herself melting at the sound of Peridots voice, she wasn't a bad singer. At all.

Peridot pulled the girl close, whispering the last few words of the song.

With the last 'Tonight..'  Lapis felt lips brush against hers and let out a shaky breath before she leaned forward at the same time as Peridot, engaging in a slow and passionate kiss. The two were so enraptured in their kiss that they didn't realize that the ride ended before there was a: 

"There you- oh." 

The two shoved each other away, blushing hard as Amethyst stared at them, a look a shock on her face before she smirked. 

Peridot glared at her, "You didn't see anything!" She screeched before she pulled herself out of the cart, stomping off. 

Lapis followed a bit more slowly and stood next to Amethyst who was shaking her head, a knowing and mocking smile on her face, "You know, if she wasn't so cute when she's angry I might feel bad." 

Lapis glanced at her for a second before smiling, "Yeah, me too."

Lapis glanced over at Peridot, who was walking her home. 

"Peridot." She murmured softly, making the girl hum in response. "Did you like that kiss?" 

Peridot blushed slightly and sighed, "It felt.. like any other kiss." She muttered, lying, but Lapis didn't know that.

The bluenette nodded silently, knives stabbing into her heart as she played over the words in her head. Peridot stopped in front of her house, looking at the girl as she fumbled with the key, unlocking the door. Peridot grabbed her wrist before she could open the said barrier, and pinned her against it, kissing her roughly. 

Lapis let out a soft moan of surprise and pleasure but quickly melted against the door as Peridot ran her fingers down her sides, before tangling her fingers in the blue locks of Lapis's hair and the other clutching her hips. Lapis tangled her hands in Peridots still-wet hair and let out tiny little sounds before air became a thing, forcing the two apart.

Emerald eyes met ocean blue eyes, both holding so many unspoken words, words that weren't needed. 

Peridot backed up, turning and heading towards back to her house but she stopped, turning her head slightly so Lapis could see her sexy smirk and one of her eyes, that glowed in the moonlight, "Have a nice night Lapis." And with that, she was gone, walking swiftly down the sidewalk.

Lapis stood, flush against the door before she turned around numbly, walking into her house.

The next day, Lapis woke up to the cops saying the neighbors complained about her screaming when they were trying to sleep.
