Kunikida pov

"Such a good day today". That annoying waste of suicidal bandages isn't here today and I'm able to finish all of my tasks within schedule. Now let's finish up this report and move on to the next agenda of the schedule.

3rd person pov

After Kunikida said that his mobile phone rang. Upon hearing the ringtone of his phone, Kunikida had a gut feeling and whenever he had that gut feeling it would mean something bad had happened. Kunikida then picked up the call even though his anxiety level was rising high. "Hello who is thi-" before Kunikida could even finish his sentence, he heard the yelling of Atsushi on the other end of the line. "KUNIKIDA-SAN WE HAVE A PROBLEM!" yelled Atsushi. "What happened now brat? You better not be wasting my time and making me fall behind in schedule!" said Kunikida angrily. "I-its just that (y/n)-chan got into an accident!" said Atsushi with worried evident in his voice.

This was Kunikida's reaction before he finally realized what Atsushi had told him

"SAY WHAT?! What the hell happened?! Where are you two right now?!" yelled Kunikida as he jumped out of his seat and hurriedly went out of the door. "Right now we're at the hospital. She's still getting patched up, '' said Atsushi. "You stay there and do nothing. Wait for me there" said Kunikida.

Kunikida ended the call and immediately ran to the hospital. His mind could only think about you at the moment and he is always worried about your wellbeing everytime you go on any missions. You were the opposite of the term weak but despite that you were always prone to getting into all kinds of accidents. Let's just say that the goddess of luck was never on your side at all. You would sometimes get into car accidents despite walking on the pavement or you would just get hit something hard on the head out of nowhere. But you never complain about the pain because of your ability which is called Kratos Wrath. This ability of yours allows you to have unlimited power and strength which makes you an indestructible fighter and you can barely feel any kind of pain that was inflicted on you. When you explain your ability to everyone in the agency about a year ago, they are still worried about you since you just let that pain course through your body. The one who was worried the most back then was Kunikida.

Flashback a year ago

You went inside the office of the agency and knocked on the door of the president. You were then greeted with the strong presence of Fukuzawa who was looking at you and gestured to you to come inside his office. You then waited for him to sit at his chair then you proceeded to sit at the nearest chair. When the both of you were seated, Fukuzawa ended the silence in the room.

"It's been a while since we last met (l/n)-kun. How have you been doing these days?" asked Fukuzawa in a gentle tone. "I've been great! You always worry about me Fukuzawa-san!" you said happily. You knew Fukuzawa throughout your days as a soldier for the government. Back when you were still a rookie soldier it was Fukuzawa who taught you how to use martial arts to be able to put your ability to use. Even though Fukuzawa was your senior, you see him as a father figure who helped guide you throughout your days at the military until he resigned. Fukuzawa just smiled and sighed which you had noticed. You had a feeling that he was gonna say that he was still worried about your bad luck that kinda affected most of your life, so you decided to cut to the chase and answer him before the question was even asked. "Fukuzawa-san as you can see, I'm fine. I know that a lot of accidents have happened to me in the past, but it doesn't hurt you know that right?" you told him. "I know that you don't get hurt easily (l/n)-kun, it's just that you're too used to getting hurt. If I'm not mistaken, there was a motorbike accident on the road a few hours ago. Don't try to lie to me because I know that the motorbike just crashed into you just a few hours ago" said Fukuzawa in a strict tone. You gulped your saliva out of nervousness. You wanted to lie to him, but he has known you for years so lying was never an option. "Umm... I may or may not have crashed with that motorbike and my right leg got hit with it" you said while trying so hard to not say those words." WHAT! Did you at least go to the hospital then?" Fukuzawa asked immediately, losing his composure. After not getting a response from you, an irk symbol appeared on Fukuzawa's head and you could tell that he was damn angry at you.

Before you could do anything he lifted you up which made you surprised and struggled to get free from his tight grip on you. Fukuzawa was carrying you like a sack of potatoes and you couldn't do anything and just let him carry you wherever he wanted to bring you because your actions were proven futile. "Where does this old man get his strength tbh?" you asked yourself. Fukuzawa then opened the door of the main office which you then noticed the shocked faces of the people in there. You then looked at them awkwardly and just waved your hand at them. Kunikida was the first one to break the awkward silence.

"President, is there something wrong? And who is this girl that you are carrying with you?" Kunikida asked. "I'm searching for Yosano because I need her to check up on my reckless junior here." Fukuzawa said while pointing his other free hand to you. "Reckless... You didn't have to say Fukuzawa-san" you whimpered sadly. Just then Yosano came inside the office while holding a few folders. She then noticed both you and the president. " Oh president, is there something wrong here? Who is this girl that you're carrying with you?" asked Yosano curiously. "Everyone this is (y/n) (l/n) our newest member. She has already taken the test with Ranpo the other day and I personally supervised her test that day." "Yeay! We have a new member now! But why are you carrying her like that president?" Kenji asked innocently. " (L/n)-kun here got into a motorbike accident earlier this morning and didn't even bother to go to the hospital for a check up" said Fukuzawa as he rubbed his forehead in frustration. "WHAT!" everyone yelled in shock. You took this opportunity to explain about your ability since their faces were as pale as a bunch of ghosts. "My ability is called Kratos Wrath which gives me unlimited power and strength, so in other words I don't really feel much pain whenever I get hit or something" you explained in a calm manner. "H-how come you're so calm when you explained that just now? And are you ok from that accident this morning?" Atsushi asked as he sweatdropped because it's not everyday that he sees anyone just calmly explain about their ability and not be affected by it in the slightest.

"Oh that. That accident is just normal. It's not that comparable as to when I got slammed down by a bunch of iron rods back in my military days" you said while grinning like an idiot. Everyone was shocked that you smiled despite having to go through one hell of a traumatic experience where that situation would have killed you, and out of curiosity Atsushi asked again to confirm one of his suspicions. "Wait (l/n)-san, does that mean you never got proper treatment for your previous injuries? Atsushi asked worriedly. "Nope" you said while popping up the P.

At that moment there was complete silence throughout the office. You just tilted your head and wondered to yourself why they became quiet all of a sudden. "Um... Fukuzawa-san why are all of them quiet? Did I say something wrong just now?" you asked, being oblivious to your current situation. Fukuzawa was about to say something when Kunikida spoke up first. "OF COURSE THERE'S SOMETHING WRONG WITH WHAT YOU JUST SAID! HOW COME YOU NEVER TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF WHENEVER YOU GOT HURT?!" Kunikida yelled.

"You don't have to yell at me man. Sheesh.. if you're gonna be this naggy I should have gone to the hospital first thing after that accident" you said while covering your ears from the yelling. Kunikida had an irk symbol appear on his head and walked up to Fukuzawa. "President, may I take (l/n) here to the hospital? I'll make sure that she GETS her treatment." Kunikida said. "Alright then. Make sure she doesn't escape from the hospital. This girl here hates going to the hospital" Fukuzawa advised Kunikida before handing you to Kunikida, still in the way he carried you inside the office. "W-wait a minute. I-I don't wanna go to the hospital!" you yelled in a panic. "No can do. Either you go to the hospital in a conscious state or in an unconscious state you little rascal. It's your choice." Kunikida threatened you with a deadly glare being shot down at your whimpering figure.

You just gulped down your saliva nervously and just nodded your head as you HAD to agree to go to the hospital in a conscious state.

End of flashback

Kunikida just sighed worriedly when he remembered that first meeting. He was assigned to supervise you during the first two months and your bad luck really showed a lot during missions. There was a time you fought with a runaway criminal and got shot in the leg twice which made you unable to move for a week, (Your ability lets you to heal yourself much quicker than normal human beings) you also got stabbed in the stomach by an unknown assailant who wanted revenge on one of the members of the agency. Those incidents really made Kunikida angry at you not because you were too weak to stop it, but because you didn't mind those things happening to you at all. Your unlucky nature was gonna kill his sanity at any moment and if he had to choose to take care of either Dazai's shenanigans or take care of your unlucky moments, he would rather take care of you. Even though you would cause a lot of problems to him and ruin his ideal schedule, Kunikida is willing to abandon his schedule for your safety and overall well being. Kunikida stopped running when he finally arrived at the entrance of the hospital and immediately went to the front desk to ask about where you are currently located. The nurse explained that you had been put in a ward on the third floor and needed to be in the hospital for at least 3-4 days to oversee her condition. Kunikida gritted his teeth as he was worried about you. All kinds of unwanted scenarios ran through his mind and he really wished that you were alright. Kunikida thanked the nurse and immediately went to your ward room.

In your ward room

You were just eating an apple that you begged Atsushi to buy for you since you were extremely famished due to being in the surgical room for at least an hour.

You told Atsushi that you wanted some time alone to rethink about the whole incident.Wanna know why you were in the hospital? A few hours ago, both you and Atsushi had to go on a mission to capture a few gang members who were terrorizing the city with their illegal racing. The gang members recognized the both of you and started to draw out their weapons to attack both you and Atsushi. Even though the fight was totally one sided as it was 2 vs 50, the both of you managed to beat all of the members with your fighting skills and abilities. But what the both of you didn't expect was that one of the members slowly got up from the ground and entered inside a race car. That bastard revved up the engine and drove straight at Atsushi. You noticed the car was heading straight towards Atsushi, so you pushed him aside and you took the impact of the car crash with your whole body and landed harshly on the ground with your blood oozing out of your body. "(Y/n)-CHAN!" Atsushi yelled out your name, ran up to you while holding your half unconscious body . You couldn't really hear what Atsushi was saying and could only see his blurry face. You then weakly reached out your hand and touched Atsushi's face. "T-thank god you're ok.. Ahh my body hurts" you winced in pain as you tried to move your body. "I-I'll call an ambulance! Please don't move (y/n)-chan! yelled Atsushi frantically. The ambulance arrived 5 minutes after the call was made and you were immediately rushed to the surgical room. You then sighed and touched your injured body parts. You felt lucky that your ability allowed you not to feel a lot of pain,but at the same time you felt bad for worrying everyone at the agency, especially Kunikida. Kunikida was always the first person to rush to you whenever you had any accidents and he always had to abandon his original plans for you. You felt guilty cuz you know that he will come to the hospital today to check up on you despite having tons of tasks that he needed to finish by today. As you had predicted, you heard the door of your room being slammed open and noticed the worried look of Kunikida who was panting and sweating from all of the running that he had done earlier that day.

"Y-you got here earlier than I thought Kunikida-san" you said nervously. " " Are you ok (y/n)? What happened?" he asked you with a worried look plastered on his face.

You were quite shocked since this is your first time hearing Kunikida call you by your first name. He usually calls you a little rascal or annoying brat and honestly you felt kinda happy that he called you by your first name. You then took a deep breath and explained to him about the earlier moments before you got hit by a speeding race car. As you finished explaining the situation to him, you fiddled with your fingers nervously and TRIED to reassure him that everything was fine. "K-Kunikida-san it's fine you know. Look I'm still alive and that's what matters to me the most" you stuttered and nervously looked at him only to regret it as you were met with a sharp glare given by Kunikida. He then walked to your bed slowly and menacingly and you internally prayed that he wouldn't kill you for ruining his schedule. "Oh dear God I know that luck always hates me, but PLEASE SPARE MY LIFE TODAY! I NEED TO SEE THE LIGHT OF TOMORROW " you prayed vigorously and shut your eyes waiting for Kunikida to punch your head. You then felt something warm hugged your body and when you opened your eyes, you couldn't believe your eyes at all. Kunikida just hugged you tightly while you were still in an awkward position wondering whether you should hug him back or not. You were never in this kind of situation so your brain was malfunctioning at the moment. Your breath hitched once your brain was finally able to grasp what was happening and you blushed. You wanted to push Kunikida off of you, but he wouldn't allow you to do that by hugging you without budging at all.

"K-Kunikida-san! W-why are you hugging me?! you frantically asked as you still tried to push him off from you. Kunikida didn't say anything and continued to hug you and took the opportunity to snuggle up against your neck. If your face could have been any redder than it did because you're quite flustered with the amount of physical interaction that Kunikida was giving to you right now. After about 5 minutes of him hugging you, he finally let go of you and stare at you directly into your eyes. You could see his worried look and when you were about to say something, he gave you one hell of a flick on your forehead. "ITAI! Why did you do that for?!" you yelled in frustration while rubbing your forehead. " That's what you'll be getting from me from now on if you continue to put your life at risk everyday (y/n). I'm glad that you care about your coworkers, but you NEED to care a bit more about yourself. If you continue to be like this then, I swear my heart is gonna explode one of these days" he said while taking off his glasses and sternly looked at you.

"Wait... you're not angry at me for ruining your schedule?" you asked him curiously. "Kunikida just looked at you dumbfounded because he knows that you can be quite dense, but not that dense.

Dumbfounded Kunikida after he heard your illogical words

He sighed and rubs his head angrily. You noticed that you screwed up when you saw Kunikida have an irk symbol appear on his face and you were sure that he was finally gonna punch your head.

You prayed for the last time, but it soon turned to shock as he pulled you in for a kiss. You wanted to push him away, but your mind said otherwise as you melted into it and kissed him back. Kunikida groaned while kissing you and his actions gave you butterflies in your stomach and the both of you pulled back from the kiss as you both lacked oxygen. Your face turned bright red while you touch your lips and looked at Kunikida who was looking at you tenderly.

"I'm willing to abandon my schedule for you (y/n). I can just do those tasks on other days as long as I get to take care of you" he said to you. You were touched with his words as it sounded sincere and there was no underlying meaning behind it. "T-then... Why did you kiss me just now?" you asked while still having that bright red blush on your face. " Oh that. I wouldn't kiss any lady if I didn't love her right?" Kunikida answered your question while taking his time to wipe off his glasses even though he didn't really have to wipe them. It took a few moments before reality hit you right in the face. "WAIT! YOU LOVE ME?! AM I YOUR IDEAL WOMAN?!" you yelled at Kunikida in disbelief. "Stop screaming (y/n) this is a hospital and even though you're not originally my ideal woman, it would pain me if I let you date any other men other than me," said Kunikida. You both looked at each other for a few moments and Kunikida said something that made you even more flustered than you already were. " If you're still dense then yes I do love you. Once you get out of this hospital we're going on a date" said Kunikida while writing something in his notebook.

"My question to you (y/n)... Do you love me?" Kunikida asks while trying to hold in his blush. You grin widely and don't hesitate to give him your answer immediately. " Of course I love you as well Kunikida-san!" you said happily. Ever since that incident you decided to care more about your life as you didn't want your boyfriend to be worried sick anymore and you couldn't be more happier since your boyfriend is none other than Kunikida Doppo.

Himiko: I was squealing and giggling while writing this story cuz this is my first time writing for a character that hit 3310 words in one sitting. I didn't expect to got around 3k words for Kunikida but he deserves it. I swear Kunikida is an underated character in BSD in terms of how well written is his character and his ability as well. That's why this man is in my top 3 fav characters💅

I was so busy with preparing for my internship that I rarely have time to open up my Wattpad and play games these days😥 but I'll try to write when I have the time. I hope you all enjoy this story and until then guys goodbye 👋
