Took you long enough

( So I decided that the reader's personality is a bit tomboyish and is quite similar to Dazai in terms of being flirtatious. Also I I just checked google that Atsushi's height is 170 cm, so I'm gonna make (y/n's) height around 175cm)

At the ADA office

It's just another boring day at the office and you can see yourself dying out of boredom due to the amount of paperwork that needs to be completed by the end of the day. You wish you didn't have to do these kind of things but you can't get paid if you don't work right? Not to mention with Mr. Ideal there is already staring at you with underlying meaning that says "Do your work or I'll end you!" kind of eyes. You just gulped out of nervousness because who wants to get on Kunikida's early in the morning?

"(Y/n)!!! Wanna play a game together? These paperwork are killing me!" Dazai said with his so called tiredness. You were about to join Dazai into slacking off until you saw Kunikida literally about to blow a fuse in the corner of your eyes.

" OI!!! YOU SORRY WASTE OF BANDAGES! STOP SLACKING AROUND AND DO YOUR WORK! (Y/n) you better do your work as well before I flick your forehead again!" yelled Kunikida. You shivered at the thought of it cuz the last time he flicked your forehead, you were sure that your skull cracked at the time. " I'm not slacking off Kunikida-san. Only Dazai-san is not doing anything right now. I mean he always ditch his work to flirt with the lady at the cafe, you said with a smirk plastered on your face.

" That's such an accusation (Y/n)-chan! My heart is hurt cuz of your words" said Dazai as he dramatically put a hand on his "aching" heart.
" Hehe. You should have known not to drag me into your mess cuz I don't wanna piss Kunikida-san off again" you said with a chuckle. " Hmph whatever you say (y/n)-chan" said Dazai while grinning like an idiot.
" Are you both done?! If it is then get back to work!" yelled Kunikida. "Hai" both Dazai and you said.

Next to Tanizaki's table Atsushi just noticed how close both you and Dazai were just now so it kind got him a bit jealous about the situation. Tanizaki noticed Atsushi's expression changed a bit and looked at the direction that he was looking at. He then sighed and patted his back. " Don't worry about it Atsushi. It's not like (y/n) looks at Dazai romantically. If you're this upset why don't you try confessing to her? I mean you do have a crush on her right?" Tanizaki asked curiously.
"Eeep!!! Don't say that out loud Tanizaki-san! She'll hear you!! I'm not ready to confess to her yet cuz I'm not sure if she feels the same way." Atsushi tried his best whisper that last part.

You can say that Atsushi here has a big crush on you. The only ones who knew about it was Tanizaki and Kyouka. According to Atsushi he had a thing for you cuz of your honesty and your tomboyish personality. You don't really care much about what other say about you and you were pretty headstrong when it comes to picking a fight and not to mention the fact that you can casually flirt with both girls and boys making their hearts swoon for you. Not to mention hearing you laugh, giving him her mischievous smirk are able to make Atsushi's heart flutter. Despite all of that, it just made Atsushi fall in love deeper for you. Atsushi just felt that you were out of his league which made him to not confess to you at all. As Atsushi sighed about his love life he got up from his seat and went outside to complete his other work. ( I kinda feel bad for doing this to my cinnamon roll😭) You noticed the sad face that was plastered on his face before he left his table and just sighed, and this did not go unnoticed by Dazai alright.

" Ara~ (y/n)-chan are you perhaps worried about Atsushi-kun? Dazai gave you one of his annoying smirk. " Oh stop giving me that annoying smirk of yours Dazai-san. Btw it's not that I'm that worried, it's just that I feel like he shouldn't keep his feelings from me. I kinda feel guilty seeing him upset just now." you said with a sad tone.

After you said this everyone in the office stop what they were doing and look at you with a baffled face. All of them knew about Atsushi's crush on you despite him only telling that to Kyouka and Tanizaki, but they weren't expecting that you already knew about it as well. You look at everyone weirdly and said " I already knew he had a crush on me around 2 months ago. It was pretty obvious with the way he was acting around me". " Now that's a shock. I thought you were oblivious about his feelings for you." said Dazai with a sweatdrop visible on his head. " Wait if you knew about it, then why didn't you confess to him (y/n)? asked Kunikida curiously.

You were surprised that Kunikida was quite interested with the situation but who wouldn't right? Then what you said next made everyone know that your tomboyish personality was something that you pretty much had pride in it. " You all know that his room is just right next to mine right? I always heard him practice confessing to me in front of a mirror. I didn't want his efforts to go to waste." said (y/n) while grinning at the thought of Atsushi's midnight practices. You thought that he was cute to practice confessing to you in front of a mirror, so you wanted HIM to confess to you instead of you confessing to him.

At this point everyone just sweatdropped at your statement. They can't really deny the fact that (y/n)' s confidence level was unbeatable, but the fact she was willing to wait for Atsushi to confess to her was a whole other level of patience. " That's some patience you got (y/n). Let's just hope Atsushi confesses to you soon." said Tanizaki. " I have a feeling that he might be confessing to me today~ you smirked mischievously. "This woman's confidence is on another level... " everyone said in their minds.

Atsushi pov

I think it's about time that I man up and confess to (y/n)-san today! For the past 4 months that I have practiced, I'm sure I won't stutter this time! Let's just hope she accepts my feelings. You can do this Nakajima Atsushi! Just go up to her and say I love you then it will all be over. Then again if she doesn't feel the same way for me... I think I'm gonna hole up in my room and not see her for a while. (poor sushi roll. His confidence level isn't that high and he's already thinking about the rejection😥).

Time skip in the evening

It was already evening and you decided to go for a stroll until you saw Atsushi fidgeting around at the corner of the room while looking at you while also trying to avoid looking at you. You just smiled and decided to give him a little push so you you went up to him and poked his back. Your action made Atsushi jolted out of shocked and boy you can see that his face was already as red as a tomato. You find it cute tbh🤭.

"Hey Atsushi-kun wanna go for a walk with me? There's something I wanna talk to you about." you said. "R-really?! S-sure let me pack up my stuff first then I'll go with you. (Curse myself for stuttering in front of (y/n)-san!) After a few minutes both you and Atsushi finally went for a walk together while the others were looking at the both of you curiously.
" I think Atsushi-kun is gonna confess to (y/n)-chan today. Who wants to follow them?" asked Dazai. " OI! don't disturb them! said Kunikida angrily. " Welp let's go then" said Dazai while dragging Kunikida with him out of the door. "LET GO OF ME YOU BASTARD!" yelled Kunikida.

At the park

Both you and Atsushi arrived at the park. While trying to search for a place to sit, Atsushi was contemplating whether he should confess to you right now or not. " Should I do it now or not? But what if she hates me? I do want to confess to her but..." before he could even continue his rambling he bumped into you which made him stop in his tracks as well. "W-why did you stop walking all of a sudden (y/n)-san? Is something wrong?" asked Atsushi nervously. You looked at Atsushi intently and this made Atsushi's heart race even faster. Your next action made him a nervous wreck cuz you hugged him. Yep. You hugged Atsushi and you took the liberty to put your chin on top of his head.(the perks of being tall🤭) Atsushi froze at first then tried to push you away from him cuz he didn't expect it all.

"(Y/n)-san?! D-dont hug me right now! I-I" said Atsushi while still fumbling with his words and trying not to embarrass himself in front of you. He stop moving around and waited for you to say something, when you just chuckled and kissed his forehead. This made Atsushi blush deep red. Before he could say anything, you put your fingers on his lips to tell him something that you have been wanting to tell him for a long time.

"Ne~ Atsushi-kun. What made you think that I wasn't interested in you at all?" you asked him. You saw how Atsushi's face became shocked because he was definitely not expecting you to say that. "Y-you know that I had a crush on you? S-since when?" asked Atsushi. " Since you started practicing in your room. I heard you confessing to me in front of a mirror. Have you forgotten that your room is next to mine?" you asked while raising one of your eyebrows.

Atsushi then became silent and this made you worried. You wish he said something but he continued to be silent. You were about to say something until you felt that he pulled the collar of your and kisses you on the lips. You were shocked, but you still kissed him back. After a few seconds, Atsushi pushed you away from him with his face blushing a thousand shades of red and you just smiled at him. He the n shyly looked at you and said "I-I love you (y/n)san.
"Took you long enough Atsushi-kun and I love you as well" you said while giving him a smirk.

"WOOHOO!!!!" Everyone yelled out of happiness. They all saw how Atsushi and you kissed each other and they were definitely relieved that the tiger boy had finally confessed his feelings for you. " Damn. Never thought (y/n)-chan's intuition was correct. Tbh I can see her as being a dominant girlfriend rather than being a submissive one." said Dazai. " I think we all can agree that (y/n) is pretty much the dominant person in this relationship. I never seen her act weak tbh." said Kunikida. "If Kunikida-san said that than I can't say much about this" said Tanizaki while sweatdropping.

Himiko: Welp that's a wrap! I didn't expect to write around 1960 words for this fanfic alone🤣 Tbh I haven't written anything in the past 2 years so it made me tear up cuz I missed writing on Wattpad.

And with this one shot, I officially announced to you all that I am finally back into writing again! I can't promise I would be as active as I was back in 2019, but I hope that you all would enjoy reading this one shot. This is my first one shot fanfiction in 2 years so I hope you all like it.
