"Jeremy you annoying idiot! I have been waiting for you to open the dam tent since fifteen minutes! If you do not open up this instance I swear on river Styx I will rip the door apart!" I yelled, frustrated.

There were only 2 bathrooms in the entire area. Those little cabinets that you find at parks sometimes? We had just two of them out here. I wanted to pee real bad, and Jer had occupied one of those for the past I don't know how many minutes! I couldn't make a run for it to the other cubicle because it was far away and I'd surely pee in my pants on my way there.

"I'd like to see you try." Jer replied. I could literally hear the smirk in his voice!

Okay. That's it.

Just as I was about to barge in, the door was pulled open revealing a smirking Jeremy. I pushed passed him, making a mental note to get back at him for this, and ran towards the washroom.

Walking back towards where Jer stood, after finishing my business, I found him waiting near a tree. I glared at Jeremy. "YOU ASSHOLE! I NEEDED TO PEE!"

Jeremy burst out laughing, clutching his stomach so hard.

I smacked him on the head.

"Ouch," he faked the pain and dramatically rubbed the sides of his head.

"You do that again Mister and I will throw another coconut on your head!"

He pouted.

Laughing we both walked back and joined our friends and Coach near the bonfire area. It was 5 freaking am! And he woke all of us up! For God only knows what?

"Is everyone here?" Coach yelled.

There were bunches of "yes" "here" "no we died"

Coach Shot a warning look at us and everyone shut up.

Rubbing his hands, Coach began. "Okay my little brats. Today we are going to climb a mountain. It isn't steep or a mountain where you need safety gear. Just make sure to watch your steps, the path could get rough at times, and please! Watch out for animals. There are sightings of a mountain lion, but don't worry they are most likely rumors but, there are snakes, so, do not get frightened. Just take hold of the one next to you and DO NOT under any circumstances panic! Okay? Good. Also, there could be monkeys so I suggest to not taking any belongings along. Water will be provided to you at breaks."

"When are we leaving?" Someone behind me yelled.

"Right about, now. Are you all wearing sneakers? If not go quickly and change!" Coach ordered.

Luckily I chose to wear my sneakers. Everyone was ready in 5 minutes and we were set on our journey to the mountains. I was so sleepy that I kept taking support of the next best person. Jeremy, Lisa, Andy and at one point Ashton too. But, bitch Mel stole him away.

The sun was still not out; there was very faint light around us. However, I being me loved the view and atmosphere and surroundings. Everything left me in awe.

"Hey, are you alright?" Jeremy asked beside me.

"Yes. Why?" I asked, confused.

"Well... Uh, I don't know how to put this? But, I, uh..." He was being weird...

"Gods Jer. Shut up and spill,"

"Well there is a snake around your leg..." He said, looking nervous and pointed at my foot.

Before even looking down I yelled. Real loud! Okay, snakes were so creepy. They scared the shit out of me. I have never in my life seen the movie: anaconda and I cried during every snake scene in Harry Potter. You could call it Snakophobia or whatever but they were shit scary.

Jeremy started laughing and everyone around me was staring at me, confused.

I looked down, and found nothing.

JEREMY HASTINGS WAS GOING TO PAY.

I glared at Jeremy. If looks could kill, the poor guy would have been dead within a millisecond.

"What's the matter, Diana?" Coach asked.

I looked up at him dumbfounded. What the hell was I going to say? I thought I saw a snake? He clearly asked us not to panic. And here like a goofball, I was going screaming around about an imaginary snake!

"I-uh, nothing sir. Just I uh there, uh I saw a cockroach..." I managed to get out.

Everyone around me joined Jeremy and started laughing.

EVEN MADDISON AND ANDREW!

"I don't want more of this nonsense, okay? Now walk children! You are slower than snails! I might as well have taken snails to mountain climb." He snorted.

Jeremy made his way towards me, still laughing his ass off.

"Hey-I-sorry" he said between his non stop laughing session.

"Game on, Hastings." I said, smirking.

Boy, he was going to pay. Ever heard of Karma? She's a genuine bitch.

After an hour I learnt that when Coach said the path would get rough, he was just sugar coating the actual climb. It was one hell of a journey and the path was broken! You could barely walk without stepping on some giant stone that would pop out of nowhere? Trust me, I fell 5 times already. If it weren't for Jeremy, I would have been covered in brown mud.

Glancing around my eyes met Ashton's. He meant to say something, but quickly looked away and to his Mel. They both were holding hands, with Mel falling on him after every 5 seconds interval. The sight of them still broke me.

"Hey! Jer, Anna. Are you two, uh, like you know...going out?" Christiana asked.

She was a beautiful brunette, and was in my biology class. We had been lab partners in chem. before she dropped the subject. She was pretty, sweet, and an amazing person.

"No no! Oh gods. No," Jeremy replied, nervously chucking.

Nervous Jeremy?

"No! He's-we're just really good friends." I replied.

Something was fishy. Jer and Chris both were blushing.

She seemed happy and left to join her mates.

Then it dawned upon me!

"YOU LIKE CHRIS?!" I half whispered half yelled.

He looked at me in shock and put a hand over my mouth. "You say that again and I will chop you into little pieces and feed it to the factionless!" He glared.

So, it was true.

I smirked.

"Ahem, so? What are you waiting for? Go! Ask her out!" I said.

"No," he blushed. "She, uh, I don't think she likes Me."

"Jer grow some balls. She likes you! Now go! Shoo" I said shoving him into her direction.

But he came back.

"No, I will, but not now. If I'm with you here, I'll stick to you Diana. And there's nothing you can do about it, okay?" He asked his voice laced with concern.

I smiled.

"Thanks Jer, it's alright, I swear." I replied.

"Oh shut up you idiot. I'm not leaving you for any girl even if I love her."

My eyes shot up at him.

"You-you love her?" I asked.

He shook his head, "No silly, it was just a phrase. I like her, she's cute."

"Jer! She likes you too, trust me. I might sound like a Yogi, but, I'm telling you! My girl reading mind tells me she likes you! That is why she asked us if we were an item!" I said.

Jeremy started laughing. "An item, seriously? Yogi? Girl reading mind? You have a great selection of words, Summers" he stated.

I blushed.

"Okay, moving on. You can't not ask out the girl you like because you're being a good friend to me, Jer. It's not fair to you. You have your chance, go take it!"

"But Anna, you deserve a friend, someone who will stick with you. You have gone through a lot already, you have put up with enough. I told you, I'll ask her out. But not now, this is my time with you and I intend to spend quality time with you."

"Are you sure?" I asked. I couldn't do this to him. He was just so sweet.

"Yes Anns. I won't leave you, don't worry. Okay?" He replied, so sure of his answer.

I nodded, and we continued our climb.

After reaching the top we were greeted with water and music and some refreshments, along with wet tissues and ice! Everyone was so happy but too worn out to even talk. That is when we were surprised. Our bus was waiting for us there, and all our belongings were packed up inside. We were already leaving?!

I sat on the last seat with Jeremy, Andrew, Lisa, Andy, Maddison and Mason. The others from our 'gang' had found new friends. I knew we were going to break up soon, I mean we know how it is? A popular group has SO much drama and SO many hidden secrets! It's better for all of us. Though, we had never been too gossipy types, we'd do the craziest shit together. We've ruined multiple ice cream parlors by having ice cream fights and stolen fruits from people's backyard. We tried driving also once! Gosh. It was a disaster. I ended up in the hospital with mild bruises but Ashton had got his hand bummed. Man, I would miss our insane hang outs. One thing I know for sure is that we'll always be there for each other.

Jeremy was busy talking away to Andrew and Maddison, Lisa and Andy were having a staring contest! What are we four? I laughed to myself.

Just then I felt the seat beside me budge, revealing Mason.

He had these amazing chocolate brown hairs which looked like he just woke up from a 3 days sleep! Unlike Ashton, Mason was the one with green eyes. They were sea green and amazing. He had a dimpled face and a gorgeous smile. However Ashton was just...Ashton.

"Hey, how are you?" He whispered.

"Great, Mase. Long time since we've had a little chat huh?" I asked.

He nodded knowingly.

Mason and I were really close before..I don't really know before what? Or what the heck happened? Mason was always there for me too. I've known that guy pretty much all my life.

"I think it was Erica. God Anna, I should have taken your word about her!" He laughed.

It was true. Erica? Mason's last girlfriend: total slut. She had got Mason wrapped around a finger, and when I warned him Slutty Erica came in my way and asked Mase to stop talking to me or something. Then she started blackmailing him and said she would cut and suicide or some bullshit. Teenage sluts, I tell you.

Definition of weird!

"So, how is Ashton treating you?" He asked.

Apart from Jer, Maddison and Andrew, Mason knew too. Madds and I met in 7th grade but I have known Mase since 1st!

"Well I'll put it in one word-Mel. That is how he is."

"Anna, you have to stop hurting yourself like this, you hear me? I am here for you, I always will be, I'm sorry about Erica. But it won't happen again, you're like my little annoying sister who I've practically known since I started school. There's no way I can let go of you know, you're stuck with me bro," he winked.

I smiled, boys.

"Thank you Mase, I love you."

"I love you too, Anns." He smirked.

I whacked him.

"Ouch! Ugh, Anna. You've got to keep your hands to yourself! You can actually hit you know? It hurts!"

I burst out laughing.

Back in the plane, everyone was switching seats. I was with Jer, thankfully. But that's when I spotted Christiana sitting alone at the front. I owed this to Jer.

"Hey Chris?! I have got air sickness, and I need to stay close to the washroom, do you mind switching with me?" I called out.

Jeremy's eyes were wide and he held my hand, warningly.

"Yes, um, sure." Christiana replied.

I turned back to Jer. "I will kick you if you don't leave my hand. I'll be fine, Jer. I'll sleep anyways. 22 hours is no joke, go ask her out, and spend time with her!"

"But-"

"I'll avoid you for the rest of your life if you don't let me do this." I cut him off.

He just nodded.

"Take care, and just please come back if you need me. Okay?"

I nodded yes and quickly switched seats with Christiana.

I was alone; there were two seats, sure. But mine wasn't occupied. Leaning back towards the window I looked out. It was around 4-5pm out here, the sun was still shining. The sky looked so pretty and India was below us now, so tiny but just wow.

I sighed and pulled out my iPod and headphones, thankfully Coach decided to give us our gadgets back.

After about 30 minutes or so my headphones were pulled out.

I turned around to look directly into those breathtakingly gorgeous blue eyes. And the messy hair which made me want to run my hands through it, and that smirk which played on his lips, I couldn't think about anything but to kiss them and tell him how much I love him, and want him to be ALL MINE. He isn't though.

I frowned.

"Hey, why are you frowning?"Ashton asked plopping down next to me.

"Aren't you supposed to be with Mel?" I asked.

"I just saw you sitting here all alone, so well, I came here to ask you if you were okay and lighten up your mood maybe." He asked.

"Mel doesn't mind?"

"Anna, what is up with this Mel thing? Yes, she is my girlfriend, but, that doesn't mean I need her permission to spend time with my crazy ass bestfriend." He replied.

"Oh," was all I could say.

"Look, I really, really don't know what I have done wrong? Or what I did to piss you off so much that you don't even speak to me. Its-it's so frustrating! You don't talk to me anymore Anns, my bestfriend. I need you." He said looking down.

Now I felt guilty and selfish. Just because I love Ashton, doesn't mean that he has to love me back, I'm his bestfriend too, the only one he ever opens up to. Heck, he doesn't even know I'm in love with him.

"I just, let's forget it okay? I miss you, Ashton. I miss us. I miss Ashton & Anna." I chose to say instead, it was true.

"I miss you too Diana. You're the bestest bestfriend, you know that right?" He lightly punched me.

Great so much for friend zoned.

The next entire flight I spent with Ashton, he said Mel would be fine and he spent the entire trip with her, now he needed to be with me.

"How is your mom?" Ashton asked.

My dad passed away when I was 7. Since then, mom has been taking care of me. She does everything for me she's my hero.

"She's doing great. She's gotten so successful in life Ashton, single handedly!"

"I know, your mom is amazing. I'll come over for dinner when we reach, okay? Moms out of town and I'll be spending the night at yours too I guess." He said, letting out a sigh.

Ashton and I were neighbors. After being best friends for 16 years, I have grown use to Ashton hogging up all the food in my house.
