Chapter 5
Wow I was gone for a minute time to update
---
A thick canopy of trees covered the small island north of Berk. A beautiful mountain lit by the gentle rays of the sun protruded from the centre, smothered by the blanket of green. Dragons of all kinds seemed to flock to the island, including the black as night companion belonging to Hiccup Haddock.
Toothless soared over the island in search of his master, unaware of his following only a few metres behind. The dragon let out a soft roar as a greeting of sorts. Instantly a golden bolt of light shot up from the tree line and collided with the dragon. The two creatures fell to the floor with a thud, scaring the life out of the guardians.
Jack was the first to the scene, wanting to check on the dragon he now remembers fondly thanks to the dream like state. The spirit crouched in the bushes and watched as the golden light morphed into a boy with fluffy brown hair and leather riding gear strapped to his rather muscular form.
There was no doubt in Jack's mind that this angelic form was his Hiccup. His heart tugged him forward but his mind was conflicted. He didn't need to worry however as a twig breaking under foot alerted Hiccup to his presence.
"Come out." He said without even turning from his dragon. Jack hesitated which infuriated the other boy.
"I said come out." Hiccup's hand glowed a deep orange and Jack felt a sudden pull at his feet. Against his will he was dragged into the clearing, face to face with his past love. Hiccup wore a blank expression, but a hint of anger gleamed in his hazel eyes. Jack however wore that of utter adoration, blown away by the transformed man.
"Why have you come here." Hiccup demanded.
"I need your help." Jack near enough whispered.
"Get lost." Hiccup sneered with a cruel growl, and sent the boy flying into a tree with a flick of his hand. Toothless let out a dangerous growl, mouth glowing a bright blue.
"Hiccup?" Jack's voice cracked with emotion. He raised a hand to his head to see blood and almost passed out. Never in his immortal life has he shed a single drop of blood. How was Hiccup able to do that?
"I'm sorry." Hiccup's anger seemed to melt momentarily and he took a step closer. In a moment of pure fear Jack scrambled back unable to determine Hiccup's intentions.
"Jack you're bleeding, I'm so sorry I didn't mean to-"
"It's fine." Jack mumbled shooting himself up in the air and flying past the hovering sleigh. He needed to get away.
Hiccup was left on the ground, hurt, confused and angry. Mainly at himself, but partly at the spirit for having the nerve to face him after what he did. The guardians were equally confused and followed their friend away from the island, leaving Hiccup in peace.
Peace never lasts long.
"Well done boy, this is going exactly as I planned."
Short but necessary. Most chapter may be this length from now on as I don't have a lot of time to write any more.
