The soft sound of pitter pattering rain could be heard as a small black pelted started off at a cave like open across the almost empty clearing, as the small cat started off at the cave like opening the small cat didn't hear another cat calling out to them.

The other cat called out to the black pelted one, "Nightkit?" and with no response the cat called out again and raising their voice "Nightkit!" and with no movement, and responds the cat stepped up to the smaller one. And say as they put their tail on the smaller trying to pull the smaller closer to them, "Nightkit, dear I have called you over three times, come inside you're going to catch a cold staying out there"

The smaller cat called Nightkit looked up at the taller one and mewed at them in a quiet voice "sorry mama I didn't hear you calling me I zoned out," Nightkit stood up just to be carried into the opening of the wall of brambles that the nursery is made of, there was kits and queens around the warm space, as the milky scented air fill the nostrils of Nightkit

An elder was sitting with some kits gathered around an old she-cat. The old cat looked over at Nightkit and their mother and said happily. "Oh, Hopefultree, I see you found Nightkit. Come, I was just going to tell another story" Hopefultree nodded at the old she-cat as Hopefultree padded over to her nest, which was close to the elder.

Hopefultree sat Nightkit down before lay down herself, and pulls Nightkit close to her cleaning the kit and trying to dry the kit off more.more. Nightkit only stayed here they were lessening to the story the elder tolled. When a kit moved from the group of gathered kits and to the two cats going close to them before cuddling up to the two.

Hopefultree looked at the gold-ish pelted kit. "Are you sleepy Spiritkit?" Hopefultree purred, watching her only other kit cuddle up to her. Looking at Nightkit Hopefultree said "you can join the group and listen to the story if you want" Nightkit looked up at Hopefultree with their deep blue eyes that shone with excitement and happiness. Nightkit stood up and wondered over to the group as lessened to the stories until it was time for the elder to leave

One queen, named Frostedwings, looked at the old she-cat and said happily "see you tomorrow Goldwish you did a good job at making the kits all sleepy" Goldwish laughed and said

"I'll see you tomorrow sweet dreams" Goldwish left the nursery and Frostedwings walked over to Nightkit, who was playing with another kit and picked up Nightkit and said with a purr

"You should both go to your nests Poppykit. You can go to the nest. I'll be there in a minute" Frostedwings cared Nightkit over to his sleeping mother and brother and gently placed Nightkit into the nest before walking over to her own.

Nightkit frowned and whispered to himself, "why most they all treat me like I'm a tiny kit when I'm not" as frustrated as Nightkit was tired, and soon drifted off to sleep.

Nightkit jolted awake, it didn't seem to be dawn yet and before Nightkit tried at drifted off to sleep they saw movement, their ears pointed straight up, Nightkit was confused and Nightkit's body moved on its own as Nightkit got up out of the nest and walked out of the nursery and saw what it was.

It looked like a cat, but the cat in question looked see through and seemed to have stars in their pelt and also looking at Nightkit. The cat was confused, as Nightkit was also confused. Nightkit stepped towards the cat and said, "who are you I've never seen you here? And why do you look like you have stars in your pelt? Because they look pretty," the cat seemed surprised that the kit talked to them.

"You can see me?" the cat asked and Nightkit nodded and the cat said "I am Silentsong, and I wasn't aware of any kits having the sisters blood." the last part of the sentence confused Nightkit, Silentsong walked to the medicine den and Nightkit fallowed after them. Then at the entrance of the den, Silentsong turned to face Nightkit and said "you should go back to your nest. It's almost dawn and you shouldn't be upright now"

Nightkit looked up the stary cat and said, "well ok also, to answer your question from earlier, I have stars in my pelt because I'm from Starclan. But you can't tell anycat," Nightkit was shocked but nodded and Silentsong said, "now hurry off now and get most sleep," and watched as Nightkit hurried off into the nursery

Then turned to face the medicine den once more and walked in and touched the head of the sleeping medicine cat, giving the cat the prophecy and a vision of Nightkit helping in the medicine den. Knowing that Nightkit would be one, and hoped that this medicine cat would see that as well.

The two things that came in Reapingbird's sleep had stuck with him all morning and near sunhight one warrior called Timestripe has gotten a bad paw wound and Nightkit asked if he could help, which Reappingbird didn't mind the help and was that Nightkit was doing very well and Reappingbird wondered, this is what Starclan sent that vision.

After Reapingbird asked Nightkit if he wanted to help in the medicine den more and if Nightkit wanted to be a medicine apprentice and Nightkit answered yes to both questions and seemed very excited about it.

But unfortunately not all things are good as unknowingly to the cats the small kit was which none of the cats would think of, not knowing that small kit was a kit of the shadows, one who would change the future of the clans.

As the shadows watched, this kit waiting for the right time to steal the kit and dragged him into the place that would change the kit forever
