Eren's p.o.v:

I got up with a sigh, about to walk over to [y/n] when Marco wraps her in a hug. His bright smile and too-adorable freckled face beaming at her. I growled, storming over to them. "Hey Marco?" I said to him. His attention diverted to me. "Yes, Eren?" He replied, eyes sparkling. I took in a breath. "Hands off!" I yelled.

Your p.o.v:

I heard Eren come over and yell 'hands off' to Marco. I was furious. Marco was one of my best friends, and was an innocent soul who did nothing wrong. I got up abruptly and slapped Eren across the face. "Don't you ever speak to Marco that way again!" I yelled, pulling Marco up gently and taking him to another table. "I am so sorry, Marco. He shouldn't have spoken to you like that." I told him, rubbing his back softly. He looked as though he would cry any second. "It's fine." He said, giving me a small smile. I hugged him close, consoling him just as he had done to me.

Eren's p.o.v:

I felt the sting of the slap and saw [y/n] get up and sit at another table with Marco. "I'm sorry!" I whispered. I dusted myself off and got up, going to sit back next to Mikasa, who held my arm tightly as I sat down. "Mikasa, let go of me! I'm not a kid!" I whisper-yelled at her. She didn't seem to notice my words. "Be quiet." Was all she said.

Your p.o.v:

I continued to sit with Marco until he was back to his buoyant self again, his cheeks rosy, his lips smiling and his eyes glittering. That's the Marco I knew. We talked for a bit afterwards, discussing Jean. Not once did we mention Eren. And that's how I want it to stay.
