Jungkook drove Jimin to his own house and luckily neither of his parents were home, both probably working very hard at their respective companies.

Jungkook was lucky to have such a good upbringing, his Father doing so much work to provide and even his Mother being a poised businesswoman. However, Jaehwa always managed to make sure she was at home whenever Jungkook was, so she only worked during school hours.

Which was great for today since Jungkook needed to do some self maintenance at home before his first official date with Park Jimin.

"I shouldn't be too long, I wanna look nice today but not over the top, we don't need any more attention than we're bound to get anyway." Jungkook chuckled as he raced upstairs to his bedroom, leaving Jimin to admire the photos in the Jeon family's living room.

He'd seen them all a thousand times but never had the chance to really appreciate them alone. There were quite a few of himself as a child, and the occasional photo of the two boys together.

In almost every photo with both of them, they had frowns on their faces... except the photo of when they first met.

Jimin almost aged 2 with his chubby cheeks and big round eyes, staring with a gleeful gummy smile at the tiny baby wrapped in blue blankets, at that age Jungkook wouldn't have even known how to smile properly, but you could tell he was looking at Jimin with such wonder and joy in his eyes.

It made Jimin's chest hurt, if only they'd stayed that way, if only they hadn't grown up stubborn and just accepted that they had enough in common to at least be friends.

But he didn't dwell on it for long, he couldn't really, not when Jungkook's feet were heard plodding down the steps behind him. He smiled warmly at the young alpha, Jungkook had done exactly what he said he'd do, look nice, but not over the top.

"You look so handsome... you always do." Jimin found himself blushing as Jungkook grinned widely at him, "and you look like an angel. The most beautiful and precious little angel ever." He wrapped his arms loosely around Jimin's waist and the shorter boy stood onto his tiptoes to peck a soft kiss to Jungkook's lips.

"Okay now lets go, I wanna get the most time out of today as we can." The younger boy grabbed Jimin's hand and pulled him back toward the front door.

"Seriously where is he?" Namjoon's eyebrows were furrowed in worry and frustration as he glared down at his phone, "honestly Joon you're worrying too much, I'm sure he's fine, Jungkook's not at school either so maybe their parents dragged them both somewhere, it wouldn't surprise me considering it's Jimin's birthday." Hoseok shrugged, trying to reassure his alpha friend.

"But Hoseok you just don't get it, he at least texts back, whether he answers the phone or not he always texts back. And I think he would've warned his boyfriend he wouldn't be coming into school even if it was a surprise thing his parents have done." Namjoon sighed before calling Jimin again.

"Hey Joon... you... you do remember this whole thing's fake right?" Hoseok frowned and Namjoon's eyes widened for a moment, his frown softened and he blinked in shock before putting his phone down and ending the call.

"Yes of course I remember, I just... I still care about him as a friend you know? I'm still worried." He justified himself and before Hoseok could respond Seokjin came walking down the hall toward them.

"Hi guys, Yoongi dropped me off this morning but then he said he wasn't coming in today, I felt so bad about asking him to bring me in- I can't believe he said yes considering he wasn't even planning on coming here!" Jin laughed slightly and Hoseok frowned, "Why isn't he coming in?"

"Oh, he said he'd forgotten it was his grandma's birthday today, he needed to go shopping to get her something and then go see her." Jin explained and Hoseok couldn't help awwing as he thought about the usually quite unbothered and maybe even careless mint haired alpha going to give his grandma a birthday gift with that rarely seen gummy smile.

"Well it seems like he's not the only one not coming to school today." Namjoon grumbled and Jin frowned in confusion, "who else isn't coming? Is everyone okay?" He questioned, worried one of their friends was unwell or hurt.

"Well, we can't get hold of Jimin, and nobody has seen Jungkook yet today either, Taehyung said he wasn't answering his phone, and neither is Jimin." Hoseok explained and Jin looked to Namjoon's rather agitated expression and gulped thickly.

"Well it's his birthday too right? Maybe his and Jungkook's families planned something. I'm sure he's fine Namjoon-Ah, don't worry yourself too much, you look much more handsome with a smile." He blushed as he spoke and the alpha found himself at a loss for words, so instead he smiled and bowed slightly, which seemed to be a habit of his whenever he got flustered.

Jin found himself chewing on his lower lip to suppress the proud grin that was trying to take over his cool exterior as his insides squealed with joy.

"Look I promise I'll let you buy me fluffy socks but at least just let me pay for the snacks- Jungkook! Please~" Jimin pouted, as they both fought over the bag of cookies.

"But I wanna spoil you today though Hyung, you deserve it." Jungkook pouted back and Jimin frowned, ripping the bag out of his hands, "let me buy cookies for my Jungkookie! You deserve to be spoilt too! Just because it's my birthday, and you're an alpha..." he mumbled the last part under his breath as he stormed toward the counter.

Jungkook's mouth was left ajar and his eyes wide as he trailed along behind the smaller boy, "hello, just these please." Jimin smiled at the lady behind the counter and Jungkook came and rested his chin on the omega's shoulder with his pout returning.

"Of course, if you don't mind me asking, are you Park Jaehyun's son?" She questioned as she scanned the cookies, Jimin blushed and nodded slightly before getting out the cash and handing it to her.

"Ah, I knew your father in school, he wouldn't remember me now but may I say you've grown into a beautiful young man, just like your father." She smiled sweetly and Jimin blushed again, bowing respectfully and thanking her.

"Did you know my parents?" Jungkook interjected and she studied his face, "Ah the Jeons! Yes, not very well but I of course know of them now. You're both very handsome young men, but shouldn't you be in school about now?" She raised an eyebrow and Jimin blinked in shock, looking to Jungkook for him to explain.

"Ah, well you see, I wanted to take Jiminie here out on a date for his birthday, but it's gotta be a secret which means now was the only time, so... shhh... don't tell anyone." He whispered toward the end and the lady laughed, shaking her head softly.

"Your secret is safe with me. And happy birthday Jimin. Lovely to meet you both." She waved to them as they left the store with wide smiles on their faces, "she was nice, now can we go find your fluffy socks?" Jungkook looked to Jimin hopefully and the smaller grinned back, "okay okay, but only because I secretly love how badly you want to spoil me."

They strolled through the shopping centre hand in hand, both munching away on a cookie as they made their way to Jimin's favourite store.

Once they got inside Jungkook's eyes widened when seeing the products, he then understood why it was the perfect place for Jimin, "does this store really only sell fluffy things?" He laughed slightly and Jimin was smiling so bright he was like a kid in a candy store.

"Yes, and it's amazing, they sell teddies and pillows and blankets and onesies and most importantly, fluffy socks!" He listed until they reached the section of the store that was full of various fluffy sock designs.

"I've changed my mind." Jungkook suddenly spoke as he chose a few pairs, "I want to buy you everything." He continued seriously and Jimin burst into laughter, "don't be stupid! If you're that adamant on buying me more than the socks then I am in need of a warm winter sweater, so just that and some socks. But that's all!"

The smaller boy stood his ground and Jungkook found himself smiling warmly at the stubborn look on his face, "you're so cute when you're trying to be all stern." He scrunched his nose and booped Jimin's at the same time making the older roll his eyes.

"Awh! Look, this one's perfect!" Jimin suddenly brushed past Jungkook and grabbed at a hanger from one of the clothing racks, however when he tried to pull it, someone else was holding the other end.

He pushed back the other hangers on either side to create a gap and completely let go of the sweater he wanted when his eyes met those of a mint haired alpha.

"Jimin?" He questioned before his eyes flicked to Jungkook who was stood behind him, "what are you two doing here?" He frowned in confusion and Jimin gulped, panic clearly sewn into his features.

"Uhm, I was just buying Jimin some birthday presents." Jungkook tried his best to not give too much away, but the fact that Jimin was so scared would immediately let anyone know something was up, especially since Yoongi- as an alpha- could sense that fear so strongly.

"Why are you so scared to see me?" He questioned directly to Jimin and the omega gulped again, "I'm not! It was just a surprise is all... I thought you'd be at school?" He tried his best to smile and calm his racing heart.

"It's my grandma's birthday today too, so, I was going to get her a nice warm winter sweater, although it seemed you wanted this one?" He smiled back, although it was clear he was still very suspicious of the other two boys.

"Oh! Wish your grandma a happy birthday from me... and no it's okay, you can have that one." Jimin managed a small laugh and Jungkook picked out a pale blue sweater with cloud patterns on it and grinned, "I like this one, you could have this one instead?" He suggested and Jimin nodded, "Perfect."

"Okay... well happy birthday anyway Jimin. I got a call from Namjoon just now, apparently you haven't been answering your phone all day? He seemed pretty worried." Yoongi frowned in concern.

"Oh! I left my phone at home... would I be able to call him from your phone?" Jimin asked, hoping it would ease Yoongi's suspicions, "sure, let me pay for this, I'll come back and get it after, or you can find me." He smiled slightly and handed the slightly smaller boy his phone.

Jungkook sighed slightly when the other alpha had walked away, "I can't believe he's here... I'm sorry this has made your birthday date a little more tense than it was supposed to be." Jimin smiled up at him and shook his head, "it's fine, let me just call Namjoon and explain what's happened, then we can get out of here."

"I'll go pay for your stuff." Jungkook spoke as Jimin held Yoongi's phone up to his ear, after a few rings Namjoon picked up, "Yoongi? What's up?" He did sound a little stressed.

"Hey Joonie, it's me Jimin." The Omega felt so nervous and he wasn't even sure why, Namjoon knew the relationship was fake, it was just Yoongi he needed to feel worried about.

"Jimin-Ah? Where are you? How come you've got Yoongi's phone? And why haven't you been answering your own?" Namjoon frantically questioned and Jimin heard his other friends voices in the background, mumbling other questions.

"I'm out with Jungkook for my birthday, I'm sorry, I left my phone at home but we bumped into Yoongi while he was getting his grandma a birthday present so he let me borrow his phone." Jimin explained and he heard Namjoon sigh.

The alpha actually felt a little hurt for some reason, he knew his and Jimin's relationship was fake but they were still good friends... and he thought maybe Jimin felt something for him since he couldn't think of any other reason as to why he'd be Jimin's first choice at a fake relationship.

But to know he'd just not even thought to text him that morning, and that he'd ditched seeing all his other friends just to go shopping with Jungkook, actually upset Namjoon a little.

"Oh... okay, well, everyone here wishes you a happy birthday, have a good time with Jungkook..." he mumbled and Jimin could sense that he wasn't happy, "well, I still want to see you all on my birthday, how about you all come to mine again after school, for fun this time and not to study?" The Omega suggested with a smile.

Whether that was his tactic of hopefully cheering up Namjoon or it just sounded like a fun suggestion for his birthday, either way he was excited that he'd just come up with the idea.

He heard Namjoon put the phone down and start talking to the others- they were clearly on break- before a few moments later he was back, "we're all free and would love to see you today, so if you're sure that's okay, then we'll be there after school." Jimin grinned brightly just as Yoongi and Jungkook were coming back over.

"Okay, Yoongi-Hyung just got back so I've got to go, but I'll see you later, bye Joonie~" he sang softly before ending the call and handing the phone back to Yoongi, "see you later?" Jungkook raised an eyebrow and Jimin nodded, "I've invited everyone round after school for my birthday. Yoongi, I know you're going to see your Grandma but would you be able to come over later?"

Jimin could sense how disheartened Jungkook suddenly was, but tried to keep his smiling face as he waited for Yoongi's reply, "Uhm, I might get there a little later than the others, but sure, I'll be there later." He smiled back with a nod.

"Thanks again for letting me use your phone, we're probably gonna head home now right Jungkook-Ah?" Jimin asked and looked to Jungkook with an apologetic smile, "Uhm, if you wanted to." He mumbled back and Yoongi cleared his throat awkwardly, "Okay, well I'm gonna get to grandma's... see you later." He waved before walking out the shop and blending into the crowd.

"Jungkookie I'm sorry for inviting them over, I could hear how upset they were that they wouldn't get to see me on my birthday, and plus they are still my friends, I want to see them today too." Jimin apologised as he grabbed the sulking alpha's hand and led him out the shop.

"Yeah I know... I get it I guess I was just excited about having you all to myself for today, gah it's so weird I'm even saying that, just this morning I woke up and you were with another guy... now I'm acting all selfish like I'm expecting you to only see me on your birthday." Jungkook sighed and Jimin could see how embarrassed with himself he was.

"Don't worry Kook-Ah, it's sweet of you... and besides it's not like we've rushed into anything, I think our relationship has built to this point for quite a while don't you?" He giggled slightly and Jungkook joined in with his laughter, "I guess you're right, I just feel like part of me still thinks it isn't real, like I'm dreaming or something."

Jimin smiled bashfully at that, "being with me is so good it feels like a dream?" He questioned with a giddy smile, Jungkook looked to the floor in embarrassment again but couldn't hide his goofy grin from the smaller boy, "I guess that is what I'm saying yes Jimin-Ah, how could it not though? I'm just an idiot for not realising how I felt sooner."

"Stop saying stuff like that, we were both stubborn as we grew up, but you never know, maybe if we'd been friends from the start it might have never become anything more, I'm happy we're at where we are now, so whatever happened in the past doesn't matter anymore." Jimin grinned and squeezed the alpha's hand gently.

Jungkook thought about that, and he actually felt at peace with everything for once, "huh... I never actually thought that way, but maybe you're right, and I'm also happy with us how we are- I mean it would be better if we didn't have to be a secret but I know you wanna stick through with what you started so it's okay... soon." He nodded and Jimin nodded along with him.

"Thank you for understanding, but hey, the reason I wanted to get home, is so that I could thank you properly for my birthday gifts... away from all the watchful eyes." Jimin smirked mischievously and Jungkook looked down at him in shock, his mind already clouding with images of that one rushed yet hot steamy night they'd spent together.

He knew that if that's what Jimin meant, then he'd make sure he didn't take any of it for granted again.

This one is slightly shorter than the last one but I wrote it all in one sitting and I just wanted to have something to post today.

I know I'm not exactly sticking to my every Wednesday update schedule but it just felt right to get at least this done for a Wednesday 🤷🏼‍♀️😅
