*Gilbert's Pov (title courtesy of my cousin) *

"He has my number now," I said, flopping down face first on Toni's bed, "He has my number and he's going to call me and we're going to 'catch up' with each other!"

I rolled over and sat up, grabbing Toni's shoulders. "I can't do that Toni. I can't do that. He's gonna be talking about his husband and how they met and how great he his, and I'm gonna be here with my month with Feli, and my two weeks with Eliza, and my one kiss with you in middle school because that is literally all the experience I have."

Toni raised his eyebrows at me and took my hands off his shoulders. "You realise you don't have to go right? You could just block his number or say you're busy."

"Aha. Toni. I absolutely cannot do that."

"Well why not? If you're dreading it so much then why go?"

"Toni, he knows where I work, if I ignore him or block him he will confront me. And I also cannot lose contact with this guy again. I did that once and he got fucking half a foot taller than me and a husband."

Toni opened his mouth to say something but was quickly cut off by my phone ringing.

"Shitit'shim,whatdoIdo?!"

"How about answer it."

"How about you go fuck Lovino?!"

A blush spread across Toni's face. "That is irrelevant just answer the call."

"Fine!"

I pressed the answer button and immediately stood up and started pacing.

"hello? Gilbert?"

"hi! Yeah this is Gilbert."

"okay, good! I was wondering when you wanted to talk?"

I put the call on speakerphone and placed it on the bedside table.

"M-My next day off is Wednesday. Is, is that good?"

"perfect. I was actually going to bring Caleb, is that okay? I kinda wanted you to meet him."

I looked over to Toni, who was, conveniently, not listening.

"Um, yeah, sure, sure thing!"

"Great! You could bring your girlfriend too if you want."

Sorry what?

"My-My what?"

"Your girlfriend? At the coffee shop, Liz right?"

Elizabeta and I were pretty touchy feely,  but only cause that was just the kind of person she was, honestly that was just the kind of person I was.

"I can see why you might think that. But, um, Elizabeta and I dated for like two weeks in high-school and it went absolutely nowhere."

"Oh! Sorry, I kind of assumed."

"Oh! No it's fine! We get it a lot."

"Is there someone you want to bring?"

I was about to say something, possibly lie and say I had a boyfriend who lived abroad or some shit, when the peice of absolute Spanish ass had to interrupt by laughing.

"Gilbert actually having a long term relationship! That's a laugh mi amigo!"

"Toni do you think you could maybe shut the fuck up?"

I walked out of Toni's room and into my own.

"I'm so sorry, that's my flatmate, Antonio, he's... An ass. Though he is right, I'm about as single as it gets."

"Oh, sorry. If it would make you more comfortable, Caleb could stay behind, he doesn't have to go."

"No! No, it's fine, I'd love to meet him." love to meet the guy who stole you from me.

No! Bad Gilbert! He doesn't belong to you!

"Great! I'll see you Wednesday then! Say around 12:30?"

"Sounds good."

I ended the call and set my phone down on the table.

"Caleb! We're going to meet up with Gilbert on Wednesday okay?!" I yelled to the bedroom.

Caleb came out and leaned against the door frame with an unimpressed expression. "Do we have to?"

"Please Caleb you sound like a child. Gilbert's a good guy and he was a good friend of mine when we were kids."

"Matthew you have no idea who this guy is. He could have become a serial killer after thirteen years!"

"Caleb you're being ridiculous. He's an old friend and it's proper etiquette to meet up with an old friend and catch up with them! We're going whether you like it or not, so you might as well get to know him and enjoy it."

"Fine." and with that he slumped back into our room.
