Part 1, Chapter 1: Interesting Introductions
Emotions can be interesting, while other times you wish you couldn't feel anything at all. The way we express ourselves, by crying, screaming, a fake smile. It's all... amusing. There are people who are born with emotions. Others shut them off. And there's the unfortunate ones... that are born emotionless without asking.
Psychopaths. Correct that, Yanderes. About five percent of the population in Magnolia are that way. There's no cure, it's more of a "mental disorder" according to doctors.
It is said that Yanderes form an obsession with their lover. More like prey, cause if you think about it, they're hunting for love. Stalk them, and use violent or nonviolent methods to get rid of their 'rivals'.
And Natsu, a hot headed student of Fairy Tail Academy is one of those affected with the so called disorder. These symptoms haven't been revealed. Yet.
Before the incident...
"Father? What's wrong with me? Why I am not like the other children?" A young boy with salmon pink hair asked his father, who was sitting on the leather couch, reading the daily newspaper. His stepsister, Wendy was holding a remote control to watch television, yet cried when Igneel took it away from her.
"You're special, my son," his father, Igneel replied to him and ruffled Natsu's hair.
"Special?" the boy thought.
"Yes. But you have to keep it from everyone. People will start suspecting about your condition."
"Okay, father..."
Twelve years later...
"Damn it! I'm late again!" Natsu woke up from his bed to change from his pajamas to his school uniform: a white button up short, black pants, and black shoes. Not caring about his appearance, he took his school bag and ran near the school gates as fast has he could.
The gates automatically opened, which was the object's main function, duh. Natsu tried to avoid his childhood friend, yet it was too late, and the white haired girl tackled him to a hug. He pushed her away.
"Hi Natsu! How has it been?" Lisanna waved at him with a smile on her lips. She moved on from her childhood crush two years ago, but she's trying to keep their friendship alive. Not working.
"It's been alright, thanks for asking. If you excuse me, I have to go to class," Natsu walked away, leaving Lisanna alone next to the water fountain.
When Natsu entered his home room, all he could hear were whispers about a 'new' addition to the class. The class doesn't need anyone else, thank you very much.
"Silence." The student council president glared at the class. But no one listened to the red headed woman.
"I said silence!" She yelled again, pounding her fist on the table, this time receiving silent nods from the entire class. They shivered in fear, scared of facing the wrath of Erza Scarlet.
"Now, as I was about to say, our teacher isn't here today due to an illness, which means I'm in charge. There will be a new student at class B 12, please be respectful. You can come in," Erza addressed to the student.
She had blonde hair tied in a side ponytail with a blue ribbon and brown eyes. When she entered the room, she stood there silently, holding her purse, not knowing where to go.
"Excuse me, may I sit there?" The blonde walked over to a table on the middle, where a bluenette was reading peacefully. She looked up at the other female through her glasses.
"Sure!" She pointed around the chair next to her.
"What's your name?" The bluenette asked.
"Lucy. Yours?"
"Levy," she smiled. The girl's smile was sincere, not false, which made Lucy happier on the inside.
Lucy took a pencil, a notebook, and her favorite book. She noticed the sticky note glued to her side of the table and tried ignored it. But she kept receiving more and more from the table next to hers, so she decided to read all of them. They said corny stuff like: 'Hello' or 'What's your name?'. Strangely, the last note read something completely different.
Lucy crumbled all the notes, and places her head down. Good thing she didn't have to present herself in front of everyone. One of thing she dreads the most is telling people about her past, the 'perfect' family, and more stories about her life. Which is rather boring.
"Psst!"
"Huh?"
"Oh. It's the new girl," someone whispered to themselves.
"Yeah. And?"
"My name is Lucy."
"Luigi?"
The blonde facepalmed at the guy in front of her. "No, you dumbass."
"Your name?"
"Natsu. That's my name."
"Okay. You seem like a nice person to me," Lucy held her chin in thought. "Although I don't really know you..."
"Well, we can make a friendship and turn it to something more," Natsu said. He was trying to be friendly, or did he try too hard?
Little did she knew, things were about to get bloody...
"Huh? Who's that?" Lisanna pointed to Lucy.
"A new student," another girl whispered.
"Okay, but how do I get rid of her?"
"Crazy! You simply can't kill anyone you see. It's not logical," Ally whispered.
"Fuck logic." Lisanna mumbled. The white haired girl glared at Lucy with a mischievous smile.
The class went by quickly, and almost everyone was interested in becoming friends with Lucy. Not.
Lisanna's idea of murder wasn't her fault. All the crimes she did weren't her fault. Cause she wasn't jealous. She thought she grew out of that phase. Turns out, it was an obsession all along.
"Kill her..."
A few hours later, the white haired girl went to work on her plan. The method had to be stealthy yet effective. Lisanna held her chin in thought and yelled: "Poison!"
She took two hours to prepare that bento. Because she got way too distracted with other priorities. Lisanna walked over to Lucy, who was sitting on one of the tables, writing on her notebook, while Levy tried to observe what the blonde was writing.
"No peeking! You might be the first person to read it. But not yet! When it's published. If it is," Lucy closed the journal and looked back at her friend.
"Fine," Levy sighed. She changed the subject. "Hey... someone's coming."
Lisanna walked over to Lucy's table. She wanted to know her better. Or so she claimed.
"Hi! I'm Lisanna. Here's something I cooked. Hope you enjoy," Lisanna introduced herself using a false persona and gave Lucy the poisoned bento. The blonde took the small tray with the bento and sniffed it.
"What's in there?!" Lucy's face was outrageous.
"Oops. I may or may not have added too much," Lisanna shrugged like it was nothing. After she left, Lucy threw away the bento and went to the school halls, taking her materials from her locker, and walked to class.
Long, boring half hours of nonsense. Unnecessary subjects. That was... until the very last period.
History class, the only time that was actually interesting. Luckily, Natsu and Lucy shared that class. Not that it mattered to someone else, but it mattered to Natsu.
"Umm...? why are you staring at me again? It's getting kind of creepy..."
"Oh? Guess it's my curiosity. I didn't mean to scare you!" Natsu exclaimed.
"So, your name is Lucy. As in 'Lucky Lucy Heartfilia'? That one girl who has a perfect life with everything she wants?" Natsu questioned. Lucy glanced at the floor, then looks back up, bitterness on her eyes.
"That perfect girl doesn't exist," Lucy sighed, and wrote on her journal, something she would do when she felt inspired or on her free time.
'What's this feeling?'
'How do I make it stop?'
Those thoughts invaded Natsu's head for a while, until they had to part ways. He didn't wanted to, but there wasn't any other option.
Tik Tok.
Tik Tok.
Tik Tok.
'How many hours until I see you again?'
That was Natsu's main question. Thing is: would there be a 'tomorrow'?
