"Let's go back to empire city" Steven sung out. Lately Steven and the others had been doing a lot of singing....crying...singing while crying...and it was a bit confusing but entertaining as well. "I don't know Steven" Pearl looked at the others awkwardly. "Oh come on Pearl last time turned out so well" Steven begged. I walked up in complete confusion. "I think a road trip sounds fun what did you guys do last time" I asked looking at Steven. He rubbed his chin "well last time it was just me my dad and Pearl, they kinda worked out some issues" Pearl looked off embarrassed. Garnet adjusted her glasses "maybe next time Steven there are far to many missions that need to be done, it will have to wait" garnet said walking to the warp with amethyst. "Awe" Steven said sadly. As he walked onto the warp as well "you coming Pearl" amethyst said looking at the lost in thought Pearl. "Huh oh I'll just go on the next mission" she said sitting down on the couch. They warped away and I took it upon myself to sit next to Pearl. "Wanna talk about it " I asked placing my hand on her knee. A few tears came to her eyes but her expression was the same. Like she was lost trying to find herself, who she was. "Pearl" I said a bit worried, she looked at me and gave me a weak smile. "I still love her" she said looking at the portrait of rose " I never stopped loving her, she just.didnt feel the same way. It wasn't something that was meant to last" I looked down knowing exactly how this conversation would turn out. " on some days she returned my affections and others she didn't. But she never made me feel anything less then the best. I was her Pearl. I loved her so much.and I just wish that things weren't so difficult " she said drying her tears "but don't ever think for a second that I hold any resentment towards her Steven. He had nothing to do with it" she said looking down. "Pearl....sing, I want to hear you sing" I looked up at her with a small smile. She smiled back at me " i was fine....with the men...who would come into her life now and again" she looked at me with a small smile and continued

"WHO AM I NOW IN THIS WORLD WITHOUT HER!" She lifted her arms towards the picture with a sadden look "PETTY AND DULL,with the nerve to doubt her" she faced me this time with such an aggressive look "WHAT DOES IT MATTER ITS ALREADY DONE!" Her eyes softened and she walked towards me "now I've got to be there for her son" she sung referring to Steven. " it's over isn't it, isn't it over...it's over isn't it? Isn't it over" she placed her hand on her chest "She chose you, and she loved you and she's gonnnne!!!!" A single tear rolled down as she sat on the floor and placed her arms and head in my lap " it's over isn't it, why can't I move on" she ended the note and laid there for sometime. I ran my hair through her hair "oh Pearl, I had no idea" I said softly barely a whisper. "It doesn't make me feel any better singing it a second time" she said sniffling. "I've always loved rose, she made me feel like I was everything, she made me fall in love with her. And for a time it was me and her....but things weren't meant to stay the same." She said snuggling closer into my lap. "Oh, my Pearl" the words slipped out before I could catch them and Pearl shot up looking at me with wide eyes. "P-Pearl, I didn't mean to, I-it's just you ARE everything, and if she didn't Or even if she did love you" her facial expression softened as to mine showing so much emotion that I didn't know was there "ILL LOVE YOU PEARL, because you are special you're someone worth fighting for, I'll be..." I stuttered not really knowing what to say "you'll be my Pearl " she wrapped her arms around me "how is it?" She asked and she pulled me in for a tighter hug "how is it you sound so much like her!" She laughed a bit with tears in her eyes "you never even met her and yet you sound so much like her" she admitted pulling back looking into my eyes. I smiled and grabbed both sides of her face "my Pearl" it had a ring to it I liked it. I wasn't really sure what I was getting myself into. I just knew that know would should suffer that kinda of torture. That lost of love, even ice had someone walk out on me for someone else. It's why I won't do relationships. Maybe this will help me start something new. She looked into my eyes and smiled "your Pearl" she said softly as I planted a kiss on her lips.
