Suddenly the two were hit by a flying Juvia and Gray. The four mages landed on the floor.

"Juvia, I told you not to pull-"Gray was shocked to see what was in front of him. Everyone in the guild were either blushing or closing their eyes. Erza was lying on top of Natsu with both their lips in contact.

Erza opened her eyes to see that the salamander was staring at her. She noticed that he was sweating and his eyes spelled fear. Realization hit her like a brick when she finally noticed what was happening. She quickly pulled her lips back and got off the fire mage. She looked at Natsu again, who still had his mouth opened, and then she looked around the guild. Everyone had the same smirk on their faces.

She then glared at Gray, who was sneaking out the doors. Gray freaked out when she finally noticed him.

"G-G-GRAYYYYYYYYYY!" The redhead yelled. The ice mage then ran for it, with Juvia following behind him. Erza then turned to meet the rest of her guild. "This never happened." Everyone sweat dropped.

She then marched towards Natsu, who was still on the ground.

"Get up, will you Natsu?"

The dragon slayer rose on to his feet. He still had a blush on his face.

"Natsu... pretend that didn't happen, okay?"

"W-W-What? Why?"

Erza turned around to see that the guild was still eavesdropping on them. Erza shook her head to indicate them to go away. She then turned back to Natsu.

"Natsu, it was just a kiss, I can give you as many as you want when w-w-we... become a couple." Erza whispered the last part as she looked down on to the floor with a blush as red as her scarlet hair. "I'm just not mentally prepared, knowing that I gave my first kiss away at the age of ten." The two just stared in each other eyes, blushing, until Gray interrupted them.

"So are you guys going to get together or just stay like this?" the ice mage sighed.

"Shut up ice pick!" Natsu yelled.

"What did you say?!" Gray retaliated.

Soon, fists were being thrown, like usual. No one in the guild even bothered to stop it since it was more interesting talking with Erza.

"So, Erza. When were you and Natsu, a thing...?" Mirajane gave the redhead a pinch on the cheek.

"We're not a thing... at least not yet..." Erza rubbed the spot on her face that was now swollen.

The girl only looked at Natsu and let out a small giggle as she thinks about the future that she and Natsu would have a head of them.

It was getting late and Natsu and Erza left the guild before if went dark. Their walk home was a bit chilly since it was getting closer to winter. Natsu noticed that Erza was shaking and he unwrapped his scarf and wrapped it around the girl's neck.

"Better?"

"Yes. Thank you."

After they got home, they settled down, had dinner and got ready for bed. Erza with her purple starry pajamas, sat on her bed, with her back leaning on the wall. Natsu sat at the corner of her bed and pulled the blankets up to her waist. Erza stared him in the eyes with a smile on her face.

"Do I have something on my face?"

Erza turned away with flustered cheeks.

"N-n-nothing..."

Suddenly, Natsu took both of the redhead's hands. Erza began to panic.

"W-what are y-you doing?!"

"Listen Erza. If... I'm saying if, so don't take it too seriously. If... I ever disappear, I want you to continue living without me, okay?"

Erza's bangs shadowed her eyes. She slowly pulled her hands out of the salamander's grip. In an instant, the fire mage's cheek went red with the girl's hand on his face.

"Baka." Erza mumbled under her breath.

"Huh?"

"Baka." Erza repeated as she placed her fists on Natsu's chest. She began to shiver.

"Erza...?"

"Baka." Erza began to hit his chest with her clenched fist.

"Baka. Baka. Baka. Baka. BAKABAKABAKA!" Erza began to unleash a fury of fist hammers on Natsu. Although her barrage of attacks didn't hurt him physically, it did hurt him emotionally to see the girl act like this.

"What's wrong Erza?!" Natsu stopped her by the shoulders. The redhead raised her head and looked him with tears in her eyes.

"W-why would you say that...?" Erza stuttered as she looked away from the dragon slayer. She widened her eyes when she felt the salamander embrace her.

"I don't know... but just in case if something were to happen to me, I just want you to continue living." Natsu spoke softly. "Promise me?"

Erza sniffed. "Okay..." Natsu then pulled away and grinned.

"Besides, it's not like I'll leave you for anything. If anything happens, you can always sacrifice Gray to revive me using Edo-Tensei!"

Erza punched him in the gut.

"WHOA?! YOU'RE GONNA TAKE ME ON A MISSION?!" Natsu yelled with excitement.

"Yes." Gildarts replied. "We'll be leaving tomorrow if you wish to come."

"OF COUR-"before Natsu could answer the elder mage, he eyed Erza, who was sitting at the bar. "Nevermind... I can't come."

"Why not?"

"I promised Erza that I won't leave her."

"Well that's too bad. You would have gotten a lot stronger with my training."

"Please... no need to brag about it."

"Natsu, if you want to go, you can." Erza said beside the salamander.

"What? Didn't we already have a chat about it yesterday?"

"Yeah, but this will be a great opportunity for you."

"But-"

"No buts. Go home and pack your stuff."

"Erza, I'm telling you right now, I don't know how long this mission will take." Gildarts interrupted.

"Yeah, I can tell. You've been gone for like forever ever since we got back from Tenroujima. Anyways Natsu, you should go."

"Well if you insist. But I'm telling you right now. JELLAL BETTER NOT COME AND SNATCH YOU!"

Erza giggled at the salamander's silliness. "I only love you, silly!"

"Alrighty then. I'll make sure to bring him back safe and sound." Gildarts winked and then laughed.

It's been nine years since Natsu went on his mission with Gildarts. He occasionally sent letters to the guild to let them know about his whereabouts.

It was near Christmas time and the guild was preparing for the annual Christmas party. Erza had received many gifts from her fellow guild mates and she was thankful for that, but there was only one thing that Erza ever wanted for Christmas and she hoped that this year she could receive it.

"This is going to be one heck of a party." Levy squealed as she placed some ornaments on the tree.

"Ayeee!" Happy flew to the top of the tree and placed the bright star.

"For some reason, I can feel that this will be the best Christmas ever." Lucy smiled.

"If only a certain someone would come back. Then this WOULD be the greatest Christmas ever." Gray sighed.

"Stop talking and finis the decorations. The party is starting soon." A voice commanded from a far. The voice came from no other than Erza. She was now nineteen again. She got back the body she lost before and was as scary as ever.

After the crew had finished decorating the place, Fairy Tail finally began their party.

"LET THE PARTY BEGIN!" Makarov shouted as he chugged his mug of beer.

"YEAHHHHHHHHHH!" Everyone in the room yelled.

The group of mages began to talk and dance. Gajeel was singing some crap, while Elfman tried to bash him. Mira was holding a tray with special treats and handing them out to people. Gray was stripping. Lucy was trying to get Jason to take pictures of her. And Erza was sitting alone, staring at the doors.

"What's wrong Erza-san?" Wendy went over to sit beside the redhead.

"It's nothing. It's just that I wish he came home."

"Don't worry, I'm sure Natsu-san is also thinking about us right now." Wendy smiled.

"I guess you're right." Erza returned the smile.

Soon enough, the guild began to exchange presents. Everyone was happy except for Gray. Everyone got him some ice cubes from the freezer in the kitchen.

"I think it's time for some cake!" Makarov shouted with a flustered face.

"I'll go and get it."

When Erza left, everyone began talking again. Before they noticed, the guild doors disassembled into small particles. There was a person standing there, with a grin on their face. The guild was speechless.

In the kitchen, Erza got the cake out of the fridge and placed it on a big tray. She then noticed that someone came into the kitchen.

"Mira, I got the cake. You can go out first." Erza said without looking behind.

"O-okay..." A girly voice replied.

Erza realized that it didn't even sound close to Mira, or even a girl. She turned around and was shocked when a pair of arms embraced her. When she realized who it was, she was speechless. Tears flowed out through both her eyes. They didn't say anything to each other. Both of them knew that even words cannot describe how they felt right now.

"W-welcome b-back." Erza smiled.

"Thank you." The man whispered.

Both of them walked out, hand in hand, to see the entire guild smiling at the two.

Happy was the one who broke the silence.

"NATSHUUUUUUU!" Happy cried as he flew on top of the salamander's head.

"Hey buddy." Natsu said softly. Not much has changed for Natsu. He looked the same, but probably with a bit more muscles.

"What took you so long, boy?!" Makarov asked.

"Well... the mission was pretty intense. I could have died like a million times. But each time I would think about someone." Natsu looked at the person beside him. "They were the one who kept me motivated and to live on."

"Awwww!" The guild squealed.

"Wait! What happened to Gildarts?" Makarov asked.

"Oh, he's still training. It would have taken me longer to get back, but then the old geezer decided to kick me away because I kicked his butt in battle. Now he's training hard."

Everyone in the guild laughed.

"Anyways! Let's continue the party!" Makarov cheered.

The guild isolated away from the two, giving them time. They sat at a table away from the rest of the guild.

Erza began to cry again.

"Erza, why are you still crying? I came back didn't I?"

"Baka. I was worried about you!" Erza rested her head on Natsu's shoulder. Natsu placed his arm on her shoulder.

"I know." Natsu said softly. Natsu then giggled to himself.

"What's so funny?"

"Well... you know... now that you're nineteen..." Natsu blushed.

Erza flustered. She moved back from the salamander. "WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?!" Erza covered her chest.

"WHAT?! IT'S NOT WHAT YOU THINK!"

"Then what is it?"

"Well, I made a promise with you before right? That when you're back to normal, I would date you officially?"

Erza widened her eyes.

"So, Erza. W-would y-you... gooutwithme?!" Natsu looked at the floor.

"What? Can you repeat that?" Erza smirked.

Natsu was nervous. He was shaking and stuttering. But then he thought back to what Gildarts said to him.

"Fear is not evil. It tells you your weakness."

Natsu looked up. "ERZA! WO-"

Before he could finish, Erza captured his lips with her own. Natsu's eyes widened. They shared a passionate kiss until they were out of breath.

"Does that answer your question?" Erza blushed.

"Mhmmm..." Natsu nodded his head with a smile.

"CONGRATS!" Everyone in the guild cheered.

"I love you Erza."

"I love you too, Natsu."

The two of them exchanged a hug. Everyone in the guild gave them their appreciation until...

"SO WHENS THE BABY?" Gajeel smirked. The two of them backed away from each other and began to blush. Levy smacked him on the head.

"What?" Gajeel asked dumbly.
