Nico's POV

I ran outside, just needing to get away from them. They'd probably beat me up right in front of Leo..

He'd join in ya know.

Everyone would laugh.

No one would help you.

Shut up shut up shut up!

No one cares about you. You pathetic, lonely little rat.

I wipe the tears that dripped from my eyes. None of it is true... it can't be.

I take a breath and walk towards the side of the school. Someone grabs my wrist all of a sudden, pulling me in one of the side alleys between the buildings and I yelp. I was slammed up against the wall and I gasp when all the air was knocked out of me.

"What the fu- oh god.." I start but then see who actually pulled me back here.

Immediately I tremble looking up at the two guys. Not them. Not now. Please no.

"Well well well look who we ran into." The blonde smirks.

"We got a whole new reason to beat this pipsqueak up." The brunette grins. "I heard that you're Leo's new whore."

How on earth could Luke and Ethan know about me and Leo. This just makes my day soooo much better.

"Maybe he's why Leo has no cash." Luke says.

"He spending money on ya Di Angelo?" Ethan snaps.

I shake my head quickly. "J-Just one d-dinner.."

Listen. I had no fucking idea what this was about and frankly I don't want to.

"I think he's lying." Luke grins evilly.

Ethan smirks and shoves me face first into the wall, twisting my arm painfully behind my back and I cry out.

"C'mon Di Angelo. Scream for help. I dare you." Ethan hissed.

He bent my arm again and I bite back a yell, a few tears rolling down my cheeks.

"Nico?" Leo called and I want to call out for him but a scream gets caught in my throat.

"Hide you idiot." Luke snapped.

Ethan went and hid behind a dumpster just as Leo came into the alley. Luke spun me around, pressing me against the wall and then...

"Nico-"

Then he kissed me.

My eyes widen as he kissed me hard and I heard Leo gasp. I tried shoving him away but he had my arms pinned to my sides. Leo was still in shock for another moment before instead of running like I thought he would, he ran up and punched Luke right in the face. He cursed and Leo shouts, punching him again.

"You dirty fucker! That shit doesn't work on me!" Leo snaps.

"The fuck is wrong with you?!" Luke yelled, getting up and punching back.

"You have a girlfriend you fuckass! You wouldn't date another man even if females went extinct!" Leo argued. "So why the hell are you kissing my boyfriend?!"

They continued kicking and punching and arguing until Ethan came from his little hidey spot and pulled Luke away.

"Enough you idiots!" Ethan snapped.

The two of them were breathing hard, bruises already forming. Luke clutched his stomach from where Leo kicked him in the ribs.

The two of them left and it wasn't until we heard the roar of engine that we moved. Leo limped over to me and I go hug him.

"Let's get you some ice." I smile a bit.

He sighs, kissing my cheek. "I promise they won't touch you ever again. They do this a lot when I date someone. They just try to ruin it. Are you okay?" He asks and I nod.

I support him as we hobble down the hall to the nurse. She just sighs when seeing us.

"Nico I'm surprised it's not you needing the ice this time." She jokes before getting an ice pack or ten for Leo.

Once getting Leo comfortable and iced, she went and strapped an ice pack to my shoulder since it was aching.

Leo ended up knocking out and I sigh. I get his phone from his pocket and look through it for a parent number or something.

Mom... aunt... no dad number apparently. I wonder what happened there.

"I'm awake you know." Leo snickers and I jump a little.

"Sorry I w-was just looking f-for emergency contacts." I say.

"You know the nurse has the numbers, right?" Leo smirks.

I look away guiltily. "Sorry."

"It's fine-"

"No I mean I'm sorry for everything and getting you hurt." I mumble.

Leo frowns. "You don't have to apologize. I was protecting you."

"Okay..." I sigh.

"It'll be alright, I won't let anything hurt you."

"Okay."
