Chapter 20
By that afternoon, Jamie had purchased the plane tickets and Dakota had gotten back in touch with Capital FM and was writing up the itinerary. They would be leaving very early the next morning.
"Okay, so we're meeting Millie and Dulcie for lunch tomorrow," Jamie said as Dakota finalized the touches on their schedule. "She's going to keep her tomorrow night so we can do the Breakfast show the next morning and then we'll meet for lunch after that to take her while Millie gets ready for her tour."
"When are you planning to pack," Dakota asked as she was typing all of this up.
"We'll probably need some rest after the long flight so we'll head back to my place when we land. We can freshen up and take a power nap and I can get some things together during that time. I'd like to take you to a few places tomorrow after our lunch with Millie so don't schedule anything after lunch. Then when we return tomorrow night I'll have plenty of time to pack. I can get the things I'm taking mailed out the next morning before we get Dulcie."
Dakota was amazed. She was impressed that Jamie had thought everything through and was planning to surprise her in the short time they would be there. "Are you planning to sell your place there," she asked, hoping that his answer would reflect how he might feel about her keeping her New York apartment.
"No, I thought about it and when we visit in the future, it would be nice to already have a place to stay without having to worry about the media interfering," he answered.
Dakota grinned, hoping he would be as willing to accept the idea of her keeping the current apartment they were in for the same reason. "I was thinking, would you mind terribly if I held onto this place as well? I mean, that way when we come to New York, we would also already have a nice, safe place to stay and there's plenty of room in the guest room for future travelers."
"Of course, baby. I never expected you to sell this place," he replied. "And I'm sure our future travelers will be pleased with their room here." He grinned, knowing she was referring to their future children and Dulcie. As a family man, he had firsthand knowledge that children preferred to be somewhere familiar and homely to being in a hotel.
She let out a breath of air she was holding in. It was settled then. They would have multiple apartments to stay in when they traveled and call the new house in Seattle home.

Jamie woke first to the alarm blaring. He rolled over to stop the alarm. It was two o'clock in the morning. It was the thought of seeing his adopted daughter, father, stepmother and two sisters that had him pushing aside the covers and stretching out on the bed next to the love of his life, Dakota. She was sleeping, blissfully unaware that it was time to get up
"Dakota," he moaned. "Dakota, wake up. It's time to get up, baby." He put his hand on her shoulder and gently shook her.
"Mmmm," she groaned. "No, it's too early." She threw her arm over her head to get back to her dreams.
Jamie chuckled and sat up. "Dakota, come on. We have to get to the airport. You can sleep on the plane. Don't you want to see Dulcie and the family," he asked.
That got her up. She sat up abruptly. "Yeah," she agreed, rubbing her eyes.
"I'm going to hop in the bathroom. Don't fall back to sleep," Jamie said as he got up and picked up some clothes that he'd laid out the night before.
"I won't," she promised. She decided to lay her head back on the pillow for just a few more minutes before tackling the day.
Of course, a few minutes passed and she was out cold again. Jamie walked back into the room.
"Dakota," he laughed, shaking his head at her. "Baby, wake up. Do I need to get back into Christian's role again to get you up? I could think of some sexy things that would keep your attention long enough to keep you from sleeping," he teased.
She was still fast asleep and didn't respond. Jamie leaned down and brushed his lips against her head and then moved down to her lips. He gently nudged her lips apart with his tongue. Then, he trailed down her neck, lifting her gown and continuing to her panties. She squirmed but still didn't completely stir. He slid them to the side as he let his tongue gently suck on her clit.
"That did the trick," he thought as her eyes popped open and she moaned seductively.
"Ahh, Jamie. Don't stop! That feels so good," she whimpered. She clutched her hands into the sheets. Just as he got her to the edge though, he stopped. "What? No," she whined.
"That's just a preview of what's to come, baby," he said with a gleam in his eyes. "Get up and get dressed, and I'll give you a surprise later," he promised.
She groaned again and got up off the bed. She headed into the bathroom and shut the door. "Well, if he isn't going to finish the job, I will," she thought to herself.
Right at that moment, as if he could read her mind, he knocked on the door and yelled, "Don't do anything to give yourself more pleasure in there. If you do, I'll know and I'll punish you later."
She grumbled to herself and wondered how he had gotten to know her so well. She hurried with getting ready for the airport and got back out to the bedroom in record time. "Happy," she asked as she watched him finish making the bed.
"Very," he replied. He smiled to himself knowing she had followed his directions.
After leaving a note for Celina and some money for watching Zep, they got their bags and called a cab to take them to JFK. Once seated in first class, Dakota laid back for a nap. Jamie stroked her hair as she slept. After he was certain she was fast asleep, he pulled out a book and began reading to pass the time.
Dakota stirred and opened her eyes. She was lying in a pool of her own drool. "Ick," she thought as she looked out the window.
"Good morning, sleepy head," Jamie laughed as he looked up from his book. "Dreaming of me again," he asked as he noticed the drool.
She rolled her eyes and got a napkin to clean herself up. "Don't flatter yourself," she muttered groggily.
"I've got a better way to clean up you," he said as he stopped her hand from wiping her face. He kissed her deeply as she moaned into him. Then he trailed his tongue over her jaw and neck, cleaning up her mess. "Meet me in the bathroom in three minutes," he whispered into her ear.
"Jamie, not here," she hissed. "What if we get caught?"
"We won't," he assured her. "I've got this," he said, pulling a ball gag out of his pocket.
"Jamie," she shrieked, her eyes were wide in disbelief.
Just then the stewardess walked by. "Is everything alright miss," she asked as Jamie deftly got the ball gag back into his pocket.
"Yes, just fine," Dakota chuckled with her face as red as beets.
As the stewardess moved on, Jamie started to snicker uncontrollably. Dakota playfully slapped him. "Well that was close," he stated.
"Too close! Jamie, where did you even get that," she asked.
"I picked it up in New York when I got the cream for your behind. I knew you were a screamer and wanted to get something to muffle you in case I got lucky in public one day....like today," he smiled proudly.
Dakota rolled her eyes and shook her head. "James Dornan, whatever am I going to do with you?"
"Let me show you," he answered suggestively as he hopped out of his seat, turning around to hold up three fingers and mouthing the words "three minutes" to her as he headed back to the restroom.
Author's Note:
I just want to apologize to everyone for not being able to post more updates this past week. I had planned to post at least 2, if not 3, updates this past week. I was schedule to look after my aunt who'd had surgery the week before last and take care of my second cousins and grandmother, and it was more hectic than I'd imagined. While watching the kids in the past, I'd had plenty of free time to get other things done but, as they've grown quite a bit now, they fight more and listen less. So, between everyone being sleep deprived and cranky, keeping the kids from each other's throats, taking care of the dogs, making meals, waiting on my aunt, and keeping the house clean, I barely had time to do anything. I was over there 15+ hours every day this past week (other than Tuesday for a family outing that had been planned and was a longer day than the others), which didn't help with keeping my own house clean and needs met. I'm sorry about letting everyone down. I promise to try to do better in the future. On a positive note, I will be staying home this week!! :)
Thank you again to @AthenaShakespeare for the helpful suggestions that have been added. :)
