This one's gonna be a shorter chapter since I'm swamped with projects and tests since there's only a couple more days until next semester. Hope you enjoy nonetheless!
~Mark

"Jack? Signe?" My eyes widened in shock. "What're you guys doing here?" I invited them inside, sitting on the couch with them. "We heard that all flights outta LA were canceled, so we wanted to make sure ye weren't alone for Christmas Eve!" Jack explained happily. "Thanks." I said sincerely. "So," I clapped my hands together. "What do you guys wanna do?" "Ice skating!" Signe replied instantly. "Ice skating it is then." We all piled into my car and drove go the nearest rink, singing Christmas carols all the way. I even managed to get my mind off of Amy for a while. At least until we arrived. I spotted her instantaneously due to her hair. "It seems a bit crowded." I observed, hoping they would want to leave. "I don't mind." Jack shrugged instead, lacing up Signe's skates and his own before going out. I heaved a sigh as I put on my own skates and followed them.

~Amy

I still didn't understand why Mark made me leave early during dinner, but I tried to not think about it. To get my mind off of him, I thought ice skating would be perfect. Until he arrived at the same rink. I flipped the hood of my coat up to hide my hair, but I was too late. He had seen me. He was with a guy who had bright green hair and a lady with light brown hair streaked with blond. The both raced out, Mark reluctantly following behind. Suddenly the green haired guy caught me staring and came closer. "You two know each other?" He asked as he pointed at Mark. I could tell by his light accent that he was Irish. "Jack by the way." He hastily introduced himself to me. "Amy. We had dinner once yesterday." I stated. "Like a date?" He asked incredulously. I nodded. "He made me leave in the middle of dinner, though I don't know why." I sighed. "Well I mean, ye are married, right?" He gestured at the ring on my finger. I had forgotten I was still wearing it. "No, it's just a regular ring that I thought looked pretty." I defended. "He might not know that." He jerked his head in the direction of Mark. He was talking with the lady, trying to avoid eye contact with me. "Ah, I know what to do." Without warning, he gently pushed me in the direction of Mark, causing me to slip and fall right in front of him. "You okay? I'm Signe." The lady Mark was talking to helped me up. Still a bit in shock, I only nodded as I glanced at Mark, whose eyes were trained on the ground. "Hey!" Jack waved at me as he skated up to Mark. Jack whispered something in the lady's ear before skating off with her to the opposite end. "Hey." I awkwardly waved. "What do you want?" Mark finally looked up at me, his eyes bloodshot from lack of sleep. "I'm not married!" I blurted. He seemed a bit taken aback by my outburst. "You're...not?" He frowned. "The ring is just an accessory I like to wear, nothing more." To prove it, I slid it off of my finger and stuck it in my pocket. There was an awkward moment of silence before he shattered it. "Let's try this again then. Hi, I'm Mark." He extended a hand for me to shake. "Amy." I shook his hand, only he didn't let go. Instead, he started skating with me, twirling me and catching me so I didn't fall. When we raced past Jack, I saw him wink at me, making kissy faces. I responded by sticking my tongue out at him before focusing back on Mark. He seemed genuinely happy, the weariness from lack of sleep seemingly gone as we went faster, gliding smoothly across the ice with the wind blowing in my face, whipping my hair back and turning my face red. It wasn't long until I was starting to get hungry and I had to leave. "Why don't you eat lunch with us?" He offered politely. I opened my mouth to say no, but instead I heard myself say "Sure, that sounds great."
