Lanz, Eunie, and Pyra are sleeping on their beds while Azurda is sleeping in Yuito's helmet. But Yuito and Karen are awake. They've been training after everyone went to sleep to be prepared for anything. They also want to make sure they don't lose anyone else. When they see it's 6 AM on their scrolls, they decide to go get cleaned.

Yuito and Karen clean themselves and put on their uniforms before going back to their rooms. They see everyone is still sleeping and Yuito opens his scroll, turns up the volume, and sets an alarm for 2 seconds. He starts it and holds it up as it goes off.

Pyra: AAAAAAHHHHHH!

Pyra sits up.

Lanz: AAAAAAHHHHHH!

Lanz falls off of his bed.

Eunie: AAAAAAHHHHHH!

Eunie falls out of her bad as well.

Azurda: AAAAAAHHHHHH!

Azurda shakes Yuito's helmet and falls off the dresser.

Azurda: Ow!

Azurda gets out of the helmet and rubs his head.

Azurda: Must you?

Lanz: I hate it when people do that.

Eunie: Why are we up so early?

Pyra: It's 7, classes don't start until 9.

Yuito: The early bird catches the worm.

Karen: It's better to wake up early and get more things done so we can be better prepared for whatever happens next.

Lanz: *Groans*, okay I see your point. I'll get dressed.

Eunie: Me too.

Pyra: I hope the uniforms aren't too tight on me.

Eunie: I'm sure you'll look fine.

The three of them get dressed as Yuito looks at the picture of him and his sisters in front of the GSF Headquarters. Yuito smiles a little and Karen notices.

Karen: We can save this world. They'd want us to.

Yuito: I know.

Everyone else gets their uniforms and checks themselves out.

Lanz: Huh. It's not too bad.

Eunie: I could get used to this.

Pyra: This is the first time I've worn a school uniform.

Yuito: You all look great guys.

Karen: Come on, let's get to class.

They all exit the room. As they pass Team RWBY's room, they hear power tools. The group looks at each other before shrugging and keeps walking.

At Professor Port's classroom, Team YEPLN enters and sees they are the first to arrive.

Porter: Ah Team YEPLN, you've arrived early. Take a seat.

Team YEPLN takes their seats and waits for everyone to arrive. They watch more students come in, but not Team RWBY and JNPR. Just before the bell rings, Team RWBY and JNPR arrive and take their seats.

Porter: Monsters. Demons. Prowlers of the Night. Yes, the Creatures of Grimm have many names.

Yuito is paying attention to the lecture as Lanz has fallen asleep, Pyra is a little intrigued by it, Eunie is studiously taking notes, and Karen listens but shows no interest. Yuito looks down and sees Team RWBY is in a similar pattern. Blake and Yang are listening, Weiss is taking notes, and Ruby has fallen asleep.

Porter: But I merely refer to them as prey. HAHA!

Ruby and Lanz wake up as the entire classroom stays silent from the poor joke.

Porter: Uh... And you shall too upon graduating from this prestigious academy. Now as I was saying, Vale, as well as the other three kingdoms, are safe havens in an otherwise treacherous world. Our planet is absolutely teeming with creatures that would love nothing more than to tear you to pieces. That's where we come in. Now Huntsmen must be disciplined, educated, and wise.

Porter then pulls a curtain and reveals a Boarbatusk and two Beowolves. This causes the students in the class to be frightened a little.

Porter: Who among you would like to prove your skill and your belief that you embody these traits?

Yang whispers to Blake about the situation.

Yang: (Whisper) How did they capture those things?

Weiss and Karen and Yuito raise their hands.

Porter: Excellent. Ms. Schnee will go first, Mr. Treavors will go second, and Mr. Sumeragi will go last. Now step in and face your opponent.

Weiss is in her regular attire and wields Myrtenaster. Yuito and Karen have also changed into their regular attire and are watching from the exit. Blake is waving a small red flag, Yang is smiling, and Ruby is cheering for her.

Ruby: Go get 'em, Weiss! Represent Team RWBY!

Weiss: Be quiet! I'm trying to focus.

Porter: Alright, begin!

Porter smashes the cage lock and the Boarbatusk charges at Weiss. Weiss blocks it and throws it back. It then begins to charge at her again.

Ruby: Weiss! The weak point is its belly! Go low!

Weiss: Stop telling me what to do!

The Boarbatusk does a spin attack at Weiss, but she uses one of her Glyphs to knock it on its back. Weiss then onto another Glyph behind her and uses it to launch herself at the Boarbatusk and stab it in its stomach. It then disappears as Weiss pants from exhaustion.

Ruby: You did it! You did it, Weiss!

Weiss just Glares at Ruby.

Ruby: Huh?

Porter: Mr. Treavors, come up and face your demon.

Karen: Gladly.

Karen walks up and glares at the caged Beowolf in front of him.

Eunie: Go get 'em Nagi.

Pyra: Do your best.

Lanz: Kick that ugly fucker's ass.

Porter: Language Mr. Karman. Let the second fight commence.

Porter breaks the lock and the Beowolf attacks Karen. It tries to claw him, but Karen blocks it and punches its face so hard that it knocked it back into its cage. The Beowlve charges at Karen again and Karen breaks its right claw. The Grimm writhes in pain as it tries to use its other claw, but Karen uses his Cryokinesis to impale it. Karen then jumps and lands on its back as he grabs the Beowolf's jaws and breaks them apart. Karen then jumps off and walks away as the Grimm disappears.

Porter: Mr. Sumeragi, your time has come. Step forward and face your fears.

Yuito has a brief flashback about everything he went through.

Yuito(Thoughts): You really struck a nerve there, man.

Yuito looks at the Beowolf and is filled with hatred.

Eunie: Go Yuito!

Pyra: I know you can do it.

Lanz: There ain't no way you're losing to that thing!

Porter: Alright. Let the final battle begin.

Porter breaks the lock and the Beowolf charges at Yuito. Yuito dodges and slices it in the leg. The Beowolf charges again and Yuito blocks it. He ends up remembering the loss of his sister and his hatred turned to rage.

Yutio: HHHHAAAAAAAAA!!!

Yuito pushes it back and uses his Psychokinesis to have Nexus Rose sever its arm. Then he jabs it into its neck, before using Nexus Rose to decapitate and bisect it. Yuito pants from the fight despite not taking too long to kill it.

Porter: Bravo, bravo! Look we got ourselves true Huntmen and Huntress in training. That's all the time we have for today. Don't forget to keep studying and practicing.

Weiss walks out into the courtyard and sees herself on the other side for a moment. Ruby, Blake, and Yang arrive on the platform above her.

Ruby: Wait up, Weiss! Hey, what are you so mad about?

Weiss looks and sees that the other her has vanished.

Ruby: Hey!

Weiss: Quit babbling like a child! Are you really happy about being team leader when you barely did anything?

Ruby: I just want us to work together as a team and-.

Weiss: Not a team led by you!

Weiss just walks away.

Ruby: Wait, please!

Ruby begins to run after Weiss. Yang attempts to go with her, but Blake stops her.

Blake: Let Ruby handle it. If she doesn't deal with it herself, it'll keep happening.

Yang crosses her arms and groans in frustration.

On the other side of the courtyard, Yuito and Karen have been watching the whole thing.

Karen: I'll talk to Ruby. You go talk to Ice Queen.

Yuito: Yeah. Hopefully, we can get them on the right track. This is another world, but some things can remain.

Yuito and Karen go in separate directions.

Weiss is walking bitterly and muttering to herself about how things are.

Weiss: After training and studying myself to death... I deserve much better treatment than this.

Ruby is still running and searching for Weiss.

Ruby: Weiss? Come on. Weiss, where are you? I don't think I'm fit to be a leader either. At this rate, they're gonna tell me that I don't even belong at Beacon.

Karen: That remains to be seen.

Ruby turns and is surprised to see Karen.

Weiss sees Professor Port in front of her and walks to talk to him. But Yuito appears behind her.

Yuito: Weiss.

Weiss turns around in annoyance and sees Yuito.

Weiss: What do you want?

Back with Karen and Ruby, Karen is talking to her about being a team leader.

Karen: I'm not the headmaster, but I don't think appointing you leader is a mistake. However, you have yet to give others a reason to follow you.

Ruby: How do I be a leader then?

Karen: Being a leader isn't just a title you carry into battle. It's a badge that you must put on and never take off. If you don't do your best, I highly doubt others will follow you.

Ruby looks down with a sad expression.

Karen: Yuito knows that full well. I know that full well. Which is why I'm here for him: To help him get through the burden he has to carry. Something every teammate should know. Take some time and think about how you'll carry out your responsibility. Things are going to get a lot harder. And it's best for everything to be in order for a team.

Ruby still has that sad expression.

Karen sighs and says one more thing.

Karen: But that's why you're here: To learn. You're just starting. Something we all should be aware of. Even if you're not good now, you still have four years to learn and get better. Just think about it.

Karen walks away as Ruby looks at him in surprise. Ruby then thinks about everything he said.

Yuito is talking to Weiss about her behavior and her self-entitlement to everything.

Weiss: Excuse me?

Yuito: You heard me. Your exceptional skill is only matched by your extremely poor attitude.

Weiss: How dare you!

Yuito: You just proved my point. All I see is a spoiled girl who spent her entire life getting exactly what she wanted.

Weiss: That's not even remotely true!

Yuito glares at her.

Weiss: Okay, not entirely true.

Yuito: So you didn't become the leader. But do you really think acting like this will cause anyone to rethink their decision?

An annoyed and frustrated Weiss just looks away.

Yuito: So instead of complaining about what you don't have, put every effort into improving what you do have. Keep training and studying. if you can't be the best leader, be the best you. And you'll see that it doesn't matter who the leader is, it comes with a serious burden.

Yuito walks away and Weiss looks at him while scowling. The markings on her neck grow more.

During a mock battle, Cardin and Jaune are pitted against each other. Jaune loses the battle, but not before knocking out a good amount of Cardin's Aura. Cardin and Jaune are both trying to catch their breath from all the fighting.

Glynda: As you can see, Jaune and Cardin's Aura has been greatly reduced due to taking damage. You must choose a fighting style that fits within the limits of your Aura.

Pyrrha, Ren, and Nora are smiling at Jaune, but he's still feeling unsure of himself. The mark on his neck begins to grow.

At night, Jaune and Pyrrha are on the roof of the dorms.

Jaune: Pyrrha, could you run through me again about what Aura is? Like you did back in the forest?

Pyrrha smiles as she holds his hand.

Pyrrha: Of course. Aura exists in all living things, except Grimm. You simply needed to release the Aura that sleeps inside you. And as I said back then, it's your strongest shield and most powerful weapon. As your Aura grows, your own unique power will also awaken.

Jaune: My Semblance?

Pyrrha: Exactly. So do your best.

Jaune: Okay. I will

Unknown to them, the mark on Jaune's neck grows again.

Pyrrha: You held your ground pretty well in the arena. How'd you do so well?

Jaune: Yuito and Nagi gave me some training and advice yesterday before we went to sleep.

Pyrrha: We can train here every day after class if you want.

Jaune: I think I would like that.

Pyrrha smiles.

Weiss is watching from the door and overhears everything that they said.

Weiss: How was he able to enroll here if he didn't even know about Aura? But what's more important is that Pyrrha unquestioningly accepted that useless Jaune as leader. Maybe you can score more points by being a perfect teammate and supporting a poor leader, rather than becoming a leader yourself. That must be it.

Unknown to her, Yuito and Karen have been watching Weiss and are in disbelief that she's this way even after talking to her.

Brain Talk

Yuito: How can she be like this? That Nightmare is going to take over. I still can't let it happen.

Karen: We don't have the means to extract it. Shion Zaiden is going to have to handle this. Besides, we can't just up and tell them everything that we know will happen.

Yuito: That's the bitch of it all. If we do, we'll just look like crazy people spouting nonsense.

Karen: They'll get through it. Besides, we already altered this timeline enough by helping Jaune and being the ones to take to Ruby and Weiss. We just need to hold off for a little bit. For now, let's keep training and keep a low profile.

Yuito: Right. We'll save them this time.

Brain talk end

The two of them go to their dorm room and see everyone sleeping. They go to their beds and pretend to sleep. But review their memories and plan for every single action to protect their friends this time.

In another part of the world. A group of beings are in a lab performing experiments. There are pools of Grimm liquid and multiple capsules with creatures in them. One man is on his terminal and activates a release sequence.

???: Awaken my dear Chimeras. We need our forces to grow and take this world for ourselves.

A man with black eyes and white irises appears and smiles.

???: Everything is going according to plan Yoseph. Now all Zeta needs to do is find the runts that will get in our way and it'll be easy pickings.

Yoseph: You're taking a lot of pleasure in this Curtis. Not that I'm not enjoying this myself.

Curtis: We gotta eat, Yoseph. And I can't wait to be reunited with my love. We have to find our Dear Goddess. Salem can't be alone anymore.

Yoseph: I agree. Although we should take our time with our strategies. A full-scale attack now will only unite them against us. We need to weaken them and instill fear into their very cores.

Curtis: And we need to remove the unnecessary in this world if we are to succeed.

Yoseph: By unnecessary, do you mean any of our counterparts?

Curtis: There's only enough room for one of each.

Yoseph: No doubt. Just keep the blood outside of my lab.

Curtis smiles and walks away. The capsules then open to reveal several Chimeras that have been created.

Yoseph then looks at a large container holding unknown particles.

Yoseph: Every time, we get stronger. Soon, we will reach our full potential. It's time for the Evolved to truly take our place in creation.
