No POV:

Narrator: Legends. Stories scattered through time. Mankind has grown quite fond of recounting the exploits of heroes and villains. Forgetting so easily that we are remnants, byproducts, of a forgotten past. Long ago, the Architect came to our world and saw how empty it was. He created a land that was bountiful and peaceful. And in his loneliness, he created man, and greatly loved his children. They called their paradise... "Elysium".

But one day, Man was cast out of Elysium. Perhaps they angered their creator. Or perhaps they wanted to see the world outside of it. Either way, they were shut out of paradise. Man was indeed wise, strong, and resourceful. But they now lived in an unforgiving world. In inevitable darkness, creatures of destruction, the Creatures of Grimm, set their sights on man and all of his creations. These forces clashed and it would seem the darkness was intent on sending the Architect's creations to the Void.

But the Architect refused to condemn his own children to a cruel fate. He sent forth his servants, the Titans, to aid them. Even a small spark of hope is enough to ignite change. In time, Man's passion, resourcefulness, and ingenuity led them to the tools that would help change the odds in their favor. One power was appropriately named "Dust". One was a special race known as "Blades". And the other was a power locked deep within the minds of some. With these great elements of power in hand, Man lit their way through the darkness. And in the shadow's absence came strength, civilization, and most importantly, life.

With newfound resolve, Man continued living in harmony with the Titans and their own creations. However, over time Elysium became a myth to most of the world. but those who do believe in it are still searching, refusing to give up on finding paradise.

Yuito POV:

Today was the day I finally joined the Grimm Suppression Force. I was in the room where we began our initiation.

Other recruits stood next to me, including my best friend Nagi Karman.

Examiner: The virtual brain-link cable will now be connected. This will hurt much more than it did in training -- be strong.

Operator: Systems all green. Beginning SAS cable connection.

glowing cables with needle-like ends formed. One by one, the recruits were passing out from the intense pain. Nagi looks at me with uncertainty.

Nagi: Is this for real?

I look at him and nod in confidence.

The cables connected to Nagi and he passed out from the intense pain as well. It was finally my turn and the cables connected to me. I put my hand on my head and tried my best to fight the pain. A glowing crack formed around my left eye and I bent over, but still remained standing.

Yuito: So this is what SAS feels like!

Examiner: Good, seems like you're okay. This aptitude test will determine your platoon assignment. Do your best.

Yuito: Yes Sir!

The test began and I was transported into a simulation of Vale under siege by Grimm.

Operator: Yuito "Rex" Rose. Identity confirmed. The Grimm Suppression Force aptitude test will now begin. Exterminate all Grimm.

Yuito: This is the final trail... I have to be ready.

I began running through the wrecked streets and came across a pack of Beowolves. I use my Psychokinesis to throw debris and wrecked vehicles at them. I then use my sword, Nexus Rose, to slice the rest of them.

Yuito: Okay, focus.

I continued running through the city and fought any Grimm that was in my path. After an hour of trekking through Vale, I came across a Deathstalker that remained. I attacked it with Nexus Rose and started to weaken it. I then used Nexus Rose to slice its stinger off and use my Psychokinesis to launch it into its head. As it disintegrated, the Operator spoke.

Operator: Mission successful. This concludes the aptitude test.

The simulation ended and I was brought back to the room.

Examiner: Okay, that ends your training. You're an official member of the GSF from tomorrow. Cadets now have 24 hours of free time until then. Make sure you get some rest before your duties tomorrow.

Yuito: Understood.

I walk out of the room and out of the building. And I see New Himuka in the surroundings.

The city was full of Visions advertising lots of things. From the latest weapons to advertisements for joining Beacon Academy or the GSF. I see Nagi at the entrance and waving at me

Nagi: Hey, Yuito! How was the test?

Yuito: Nagi... How'd it go?

Nagi: On the test? Well excluding the SAS cable pain, I'd say I did pretty well.

Yuito: You were looking brought when it connected.

Nagi: Yep, that really hurt. It was fine after I got used to it though.

Yuito: Sounds like you had fun... That's so like you.

We started walking away from the headquarters and into the city.

Nagi: So tomorrow we'll be GSF, just like we dreamed. I can't believe it.

Yuito: Neither can I.

???: Looks like you two are having the time of your lives.

We look and see a cat Faunus approaching.

Nagi: Oh, it's Nia.

Yuito: Hey Nia, how's it going?

Nia: Hey Rex, hey Nagi. It's going pretty good. Guess who's heading to Beacon next week.

Nagi: Awesome! Wait, I thought all the spots were taken.

Nia: They were, but then some Atlesian brat realized he signed up for the wrong academy and transferred. So I got accepted, and I can take an assignment to make up for missing the indoctrination.

Yuito: That's great. Hey, you want to walk with us for a bit?

Nia: My flight's not until tomorrow, so why not?

The three of us walked around New Himuka. Looking at all the Visions around us.

Yuito: Hey, how's Azurda and the others doing?

Nia: They're doing all right, just wondering when you'll be able to visit again.

I then looked to my right and saw an advertisement titled "Most Promising Team" for Beacon Academy. Their name was Team RWBY.

Nagi: Hey look at that, your sisters and their teammates are considered most promising.

Yuito: That's them for you.

Nagi: I can tell who's the leader. The name is a billboard.

Yuito: Yeah pretty much.

Nia: What are the odds of a team being named after their leader?

Suddenly, Alert Visions started appearing all over the city saying "Grimm Fall Imminent"

Nagi: A Grimm Fall alert, but today's forecast said the threat level here was zero!

Nia and I look around and noticed something falling.

Yuito/Nia: *Gasp*

Suddenly, Beowolves and Nevermores appear from a hole that appeared in the sky. The citizens ran for their lives as the Grimm started attacking.

Nagi: Grimm!

I notice something else. Strange mechanical beings fell from the sky and landed.

Yuito: What? Chimeras? What are they doing in the city?!

Multiple National Defense Force (NDF) soldiers with missile trucks arrived to fight.

They fire a barrage of missiles that blast the next wave of Grimm and Chimeras.

Suddenly, a transfer cube appears, and a group of GSF members arrives with two individuals leading them.

Nagi: Septentrion Karen Travers and Fubuki Spring!

Karen: Karen regiment, Fubuki regiment. Plan A! Roll out!

Fubuki: Civilians, head to the shelter!

Karen and Fubuki begin attacking the Grimm and Chimeras.

Nagi: Hey Yuito, Nia! We have to get to the shelter, too! We're not real soldiers or Hunters yet.

Yuito: ... Yeah.

Nia: I hate it when you're right.

The three of us head for the shelter and top and notice the Crow's streaming footage of Karen using his many powers.

Nia: How can a Psionic use that many powers?

Nagi: Karen is the only one who can use that many powers cause he can copy the powers of others.

Nia: For real?!

Nagi: Yep. Grimm like that is nothing against a Septentrion class.

Little Girl: Mommy?

The three of us turn around and see a girl and her mother being attacked by Chimeras.

Yuito: Look out!

Nia: Get away from them!

Nagi: Hey, are your two serious? We're not real soldiers or Hunters yet.

Yuito: We're the only ones who can fight the Chimeras!

Nagi: We can't! If the instructors find out...

Nia: Screw the instructors! We can't just do nothing!

Yuito: We can't just watch people die! We're going. You call for backup

Nagi: I don't want to go alone! I'll go with you two!

Nia: Here's a rule that doesn't just apply to Hunters: You shouldn't just follow orders blindly, you have to follow your gut.

Nagi: Okay, I'll take that into mind.

Yuito: You're amazing.

Nia: I'll take the one in the middle.

Nagi: I'll take the one on the right.

Yutio: I got the one on the left.

We slayed the Chimeras and rescued the mother and her daughter.

Yuito: It's not safe here. Get to a shelter!

Female Citizen: Yes sir.

The three of us see Grimm approaching.

Nia: Oh great, the Grimm have joined the fray.

Yuito: Nagi, can you keep on fighting?

Nagi: Sure why not! I'll take them on!

Yuito: Okay, let's go.

We fight Bewolves as Nagi uses his Aerokinesis to knock them back while I use my Psychokinesis to throw anything heavy at them. Suddenly, a Beowolf falls from the sky and knocks back me, Nagi, and Nia. It charges at me but I slice it and use my power to pick up a car. It charges again but I jump up and prepare to throw it. Something hits the Beowolf and knocks it down.

Yuito: Now Die!

I throw the car and crush the Grimm as I land on the ground.

???: That's odd.

I turn around and see a white-haired girl in a GSF uniform.

???: Are you a civilian? GSF?

Yuito: No, I'm a cadet.

???: I see. Either way, our goal is the same.

A Nevermore appears and screeches at us.

???: Here we go.

Yuito: Okay!

Nia: Don't forget about me.

Yuito: Glad your okay Nia.

The three of us attack the Nevermore. I throw a metal sheet at one of its wings and sever it. The girl uses her own Psychokinesis to attack it with multiple daggers. Nia then slices it a bunch with her ring blades and I decide to land the coup-de-grace. I use my semblance which can enhance Psionics and I use it to launch Nexus Rose at it, severing its upper half from the rest of its body.

Yuito: Good work. That should take care of all the Grimm readings in the area.

???: Yes.

???: Kasane! I saved that boy.

We see a blonde girl helping Nagi up.

Yuito: Nagi! You're okay!

Nagi: Yeah, Naomi saved me. Man, I must look like an idiot.

Naomi: I'm just glad you're not hurt.

???: Thanks, sis.

Yuito: Oh, you two are sisters?

Nagi: Yeah, they're both GSF cadets like us.

Nagi put his arm on my shoulder.

Nagi: Let me introduce myself. I'm Nagi Karman. This is Yuito Rose. And that's Nia.

Nia Just waves.

Naomi: I'm Naomi. Naomi Radnall.

Naomi then gestures to the girl next to her.

Naomi: This is my younger sister...

???: Kasane Randall

Nia: Nice to meet you two. I'd love to know more but I better get going. I gotta pack for Beacon.

Nia then runs away.

Yuito: Bye Nia, stay safe.

A transfer cube then appears and a girl wearing strange headgear appears.

???: So it was you making all that trouble.

Suddenly, dozens of drones appear and surround us as they take pictures.

Announcer: The Scarlet Guardians have eradicated the Grimm!

Naomi: Huh?!

Announcer: You save Ryujin Ward in that amazing Victory over the Grimm!

Yuito: What? Well...

Nagi: What is this, A victory interview?

Announcer: It is! How do you feel?

???: All righty, all righty, that's enough filming for today.

The drones then flew to the girl.

Announcer: Oh, Captain Arashi Spring. Just who are these rookies?

Nagi: What?

I turn around and see that Nagi, Kasane, and Naomi have vanished. I then see someone grab my arm.

He then teleports us away from the drones. He reveals his name as Luka Travers. After reminding us that we're not official GSF members yet, Kasane counters that the GSF are responsible for allowing Grimm into the city and harming civilians. Luka sees her point, and we are ordered to report back to headquarters. Kasane and Naomi asks if me and Nagi want to walk with them and we agreed.

Nagi: Our first battle. I know we're going to get a lecture, but this is just the first step to doing something amazing.

Naomi: I agree. Let's work hard to be the best and protect this world.

Nagi: Yeah!

Yuito: Yeah. I have a feeling things are going to be great.

Two years later.

Two people are running away and look back at a Titan that gave their life for them. The male is helping the female who has a wound on her side.

???: Dammit! Why?!?!

???: Just keep going! We're almost there!

We see a large crashed ship in front of us.

The two of us go inside and we close the doors as a figure of darkness approached with many Grimm. We walk further inside until we reached a room that the girl was looking for.

???: There she is.

We see a red-headed girl sleeping inside some strange device.

The two of them get closer to it and the girl touches the device as the camera fades to black.
