【7】Leave Me Alone To Die

I JUST SAW HEROES RISING THE OTHER DAY AND IT WAS SO GOOODDDDDDDDDDDD- *SLAPPED*

Anyway, enjoy~

~~~
After what seemed like ages of walking, we stumbled upon this guy who lying face-down in the gutter.
Katsuki tapped him with his foot. "Yo, you dead?"
"Yes, now leave me alone," the person answered.
Wait, that sounded eerily like Tenya.
Katsuki flipped him over with his foot and to my surprise, it was Tenya!
"Oh, it's you." Katsuki kicked him back on his face again. "Welp, nothing to see here then."
Just as he tried leaving, I grabbed his wrist.
"We gotta help him!" I scolded. "Wasn't the whole point of coming here to find our friends?"
"Four-Eyes and I were never friends. Plus, he doesn't act like he wants help."
I kicked Tenya on his back again. He let out the most depressed groan I've ever heard.
"Just leave me alone to die," he muttered, totally out of character for him.
"You heard the man. Time to find that idiot Deku." Katsuki began to storm off, but when he said 'Deku', Tenya regained some motivation.
"Wait, Midoriya!? Is he here!?" he gasped.
Katsuki groaned. "I said too much."
I explained, "Yeah! We're looking for him since Kyouka said he was around here."
Tenya hopped back on his feet, adjusting his glasses. "Well, friends. Excuse my crippling depression! If you're off to find Midoriya, I'd be honored to help."
"Like the way you helped with Hero Killer?" Katsuki remarked.
"Shut up, man! You weren't even there. I was avenging my brother, Tensei—where ever he may be. . ."
Katsuki scorned, "You didn't do a very good job of it."
"Just like you didn't do a very good job at not getting kidnapped?" Tenya countered.
"Alright, that tears it! You wanna throw hands? I'll take you down right here, right now!"
Before Katsuki could blow up the area again, I held him back and tried to calm them both down. "Okay, boys. Playtime is over!"
"Do us all a favor and sit in the gutter where you belong!" Katsuki continued.
"Listen to your girlfriend. Not that you deserve her—"
"YOU WANT ME TO TELL YA WHAT YOU DESERVE!?!?"
"Shh," I shushed them both. "You two have to stop it now because you're gonna attract the Nomu with all that noise."
Katsuki listened and then turned to Tenya. "Okay, Mr. President, but I'm still the leader of this zombie team!"
"Is that why your whole team scattered?" he pried.
"SHUT UP! I ORDERED THEM TO SEPARATE!"
"KATSUKI, DO YOU HEAR WHAT I'M SAYING!? STOP YELLINGGGG!!!!" I yelled in his face while grabbing him by the collar of his shirt.
"YOU'RE YELLING YOURSELF!!!"
"Alright, let's just calm down—"
At that moment, a shadow overlapped us. We all turned our heads and saw a gigantic Nomu staring right at us.
Tenya hyperventilated while chopping the air violently. "Protect me!! I can't run anymore because my engines are full of sludge!!"
"THEN WHAT GOOD ARE YA!?" yelled Katsuki.
Now, there were several Nomu surrounding us.
"Katsuki!" I trembled. "What are we gonna do!? I don't think my Quirk can take them all."
Katsuki stood in front of me and cocked his M16. "Oh, great. I'm out of ammo!"
"Didn't you bring any!?" I protested.
"Now's not the time to point fingers," he replied.
Tenya spat, "So, where'd did you leave the ammo, imbecile!?"
"Same place as the MREs! Quick, babe. Make some crystal bullets. I'm gonna blow these Nomu to infinity and beyond!"
So, I started making crystal bullets rapidly and Katsuki aimed toward the Nomu and pulled the trigger—but nothing happened.
"Hold on, I forgot to put in the crystals."
"You're an idiot!" Tenya insulted. "I should be the one leading this team!"
"Yeah, says the gutter trash."
So, I grabbed the gun and said, "Fine. I'll do it myself."
I quickly loaded the ammo and started to splatter the walls of the alley with Nomu brains while Katsuki used his explosions to take out more Nomu in rapid succession. Tenya screamed the whole time.
"Where did you learn to shoot a gun?" Katsuki asked, impressed.
"Duck Hunt," I replied while handing him back the weapon.
"Man, your girlfriend is so hot," Tenya drooled.
"You know, we could still leave you here," Katsuki warned.
"Uh, sorry! Anyway, time to save Midoriya!" Tenya chuckled nervously.
As we searched for the hideout that Deku may have been in, Tenya's leg engines finally blew out. He fell to the ground, writhing in pain.
"Just—Just go on without me! I'm just slowing you down. . ." he winced.
Katsuki shrugged. "Alright." And began to walk away, but I stopped him.
"Do you even have a heart!?" I lectured. "How would you feel if it were you?"
"Well, considering I don't have jet skis for legs—"
"Doesn't matter!" I turned to Tenya. "We'll carry you, Tenya!"
"Oh, (Y/N)! You are so sweet! How did Bakugou ever end up with you?" he implored.
"Hit on my girlfriend one more time and I'll hit you into the middle of next week!" Katsuki snarled.
So, I grabbed Tenya's arms and Katsuki grabbed his legs and we proceeded to carry-drag him across the city.
"Remind me why we're doing this?" my boyfriend murmured.
"To make it fair—we'll take turns!" Tenya casually remarked. "The next time we're attacked by Nomu, I'll carry one of you guys!"
Katsuki sneered, "The next time we're attacked by Nomu, I'm throwin' you at one of them!"
Suddenly, I stopped and looked around. Katsuki raised an eyebrow.
"What's wrong?"
I replied, "I recognize that Build-a-Bear workshop from three hours ago. Have we been going in circles?"
"Probably so with this deadweight we're draggin'."
"You know, I don't know why you have to be so foul-mouthed!" Tenya scolded.
As the boys continued arguing, Katsuki gave up and dropped Tenya on the ground, causing me to topple over on top of him.
Tenya gazed into my eyes and flirted, "Wow, where have you been all my life?"
"WITH ME, TWERP!" Katsuki gently helped me up and said, "Sorry, behb."
"You could have at least warned me you were dropping him so I could let go too."
"But then I couldn't have been able to pick you up~"
Tenya irrelevantly vocalized, "Still here~!"
Katsuki mocked, "Too bad~!"
I couldn't help but giggle. Tenya's leg engines were starting to come back to normal, so he was able to walk somewhat normally again. I had to admit, being in Kamino Ward again brought back a lot of memories from the time I saved Katsuki from the League of Villains. It reminded me of that training camp we went to—which was when he and I got together.
Months Earlier. . .
Mr. Aizawa said that we should train our Quirks since they haven't developed that well over the last year. So, the Wild, Wild Pussycats left us some. . .equipment to help out with that.
"AAAAAAGH!!!" Katsuki screamed out in pain from afar. I heard the noise and rushed over to see what was wrong.
"Katsuki!?" I ran out of breath from how fast I ran in his direction. When I arrived, I frantically searched for him. "What's wrong!?"
"Oh, nothing. Just sticking my arms in boiling water," he casually explained.
"Oh, okay." I turned away, but quickly looked back at him. "Wait, what??"
"They said we had to power up our Quirks so they gave me a pot of boiling water."
"You poor baby!" I coddled. "Is there anything I can do to help?"
"Sure, you can get me some ice. And I'm not a baby. Mineta's a baby."
I could tell Katsuki put on an act to sound tough—when in reality, he was a broken soul. We've been best friends ever since our first day at U.A., and honestly, I was starting to like him.
"That's it. I'm talking to Mr. Aizawa about this!" I stormed off
But he said, "Wait. Don't talk to that hippie! I can't appear weak to any of the nerds here! Especially stupid, idiotic Deku!"
"I don't care!" I protested. "It's just not right! It should be illegal!"
I stormed on over to Mr. Aizawa. He was sleeping in a sleeping bag, so I kicked him awake.
"Wha?" he awoke. "Why aren't you training with the others?"
"I won't let you torture my best friend Katsuki by making him plunge his arms in boiling water! It could cause severe scars."
"It builds character."
"I don't care! I can't watch him hurt himself like that!"
"Well then why don't you join him? Stick your arms in salt water and share the pain."
"What!?"
"Salt water grows crystals," he said.
The Pussycats brought out another tub full of salt water and placed it beside Katsuki.
"Alright! Stick your arms in this, (Y/N), and your crystals will grow larger than ever!" encouraged Ragdoll. "Also, I'm gonna raise the temperature on your boiling water, Bakugou."
She did that and almost immediately, Katsuki started screaming again. "AAAAAAAGHH, THE PAIN!!!"
"The pain helps you learn!" she smiled.
"THE PAIN IS MELTING MY ARMS!!" he yowled.
I hesitantly stuck my arms in the tub of salt water and instantly withdrew them, screaming, "Aaah! The salt is digging into my skin!"
"Hey! Do whatever you want to me, but take the pain away from her! I can't stand seeing her cry," he sincerely said.
It was at that moment I knew—he was the one.
"Aw, you two make such a cute couple!" Ragdoll giggled.
"We're not dating," he retorted.
"Such a shame~" she sighed, slithering away.
I rubbed my hands on my shirt, trying to find a little comfort and warmth in the cotton. Katsuki slowly took my hands into his, warming them as his rubbed them. A chill ran up my spine the moment he touched me. We'd always been friends, but he's never been this caring before.
"Are you okay?" he asked softly.
"I am now," I sighed. "Thanks."
I tried to regain some composure so I wouldn't reveal my inner heart too soon.
"What about you?" I worried.
"Don't worry about me. As long as you're okay. I will always keep you safe."
Yup, I died.
My daydream of the past was interrupted by Tenya.
"I remember this area distinctly! Back when Bakugou was captured, I remember walking around this part of the city."
"Then tell us where the villain base is, genius," Katsuki groaned.
"Hmm. . .well, I remember turning a corner here—and then over there—"
Before Tenya could finish his sentence, I tripped over something and fell to the ground. I screamed bloody murder and Katsuki dashed to me, knelt down, and immediately checked out my ankle.
"Does it hurt when I do this?" he moved it lightly back and forth, so I screeched louder than the Nomu.
"REEEEEEE!!!"
"I know how you're feeling, (Y/N)! I felt the exact same way when my leg engines went out! I advise you walk it off!"
"I hate to admit it—but I wish Todoroki were here because you really need ice," Katsuki grumbled, feeling sorry for himself. "I don't know what I can do for you to make it feel better. I can't carry the pain for you, but I can carry you." He leaned down to kiss my forehead.
"Okay, Samwise," Tenya scoffed.
Katsuki lifted me up in his arms. He then looked over to see what I tripped on and saw that it was a mini, titanium statue of All Might.
"Figures. You tripped over an All Might trophy."
"Wow, that's ironic. He is really is our demise."
Tenya butted in, "Hey, lemme see that thing." He went over and picked it up off the ground. "Hey, this thing has Deku written on it. Maybe he's nearby!"
Explosive energy immediately steamed from Katsuki's head.
"Please don't, you're carrying me," I whined.
He immediately calmed down. "I won't ever hurt you."
"You couldn't protect her from an All Might figurine," Tenya blabbered.
"Then you better hope All Might can protect you from me!!" he roared.
I began to nod in and out of consciousness from fatigue and pain in Katsuki's arms as we continued to walk toward the unknown. Tenya monologued about how far behind we were all getting in our studies through all this, so at that note—I blacked out.
