(just included this in case you would wanna watch it :) its so good tbh)
Music was something really important to Spencer. He has loved it ever since he first heard it when he was young. It was a part of him, an essential component that he would not be able to live without. It made him feel good and it helped him out with the struggles he had at home. If he didn't have music, he would probably be going crazy right about now. Music was one of the few things that helped him out.
He wasn't the only person in his friend group who loved music. They all had their own reasons for loving it and music was one of the main things that brought them all together in the first place. He and the boys were in kindergarten when they first met, and he knew he was going to be friends with them forever. They were the best friends he had ever had and he loved each and every one of them like brothers. He and his two best friends had first met when they were five. They had bonded over their shared love of music. It was music time in class and they had all gravitated towards the same corner where the little instruments were kept. They had immediately clicked when they met, and they have been the best of friends ever since.
Spencer had two best friends. The first was a guy named Lincoln McCarthy. He's for sure the comic relief in the group. He always knows how to lighten the mood, no matter how dire the situation. His laughter is infectious, and he has a knack for turning even the darkest moments into something bearable. He's not the smartest, but he makes up for it with his charm and humor. He's always looking out for others and he's a loyal friend. He's not afraid to speak his mind and he's not afraid to call someone out if they're doing something wrong. He's protective and caring and overall a sweetheart. He reminds Spencer of a golden retriever; friendly, energetic, playful, loyal, protective and loving. He was fluent in sarcasm, always ready with a quick-witted remark, and never shied away from making a joke at his own expense to bring a smile to his friends' faces.
Lincoln's carefree attitude and infectious energy made him the glue that kept their group together through thick and thin. Lincoln was also very much the heart of their little trio. He was the one who would bring them together and keep them together. He was the glue that held them all together and kept them close. Definitely the peacemaker. He would always be there to help mediate any arguments or disagreements that they may have. He would always make sure that everyone was happy and that everyone was getting along. He was the best friend anyone could ask for.
The last but not least of his best friends was a guy named Daniel Morrison. He was more reserved, quiet, laidback yet sarcastic and a bit shy, but a really nice person. He was a sweetheart, kind and gentle and really caring. He was always looking out for others, and he was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was very loyal and trustworthy, and he would always be there when you needed him. He was a really great listener, and he always knew how to make you feel better. He was also very passionate about the things he cared about, and he would always fight for what was right. He often retreated into books, particularly drawn to fantasy and sci-fi genres, finding solace in imaginative worlds that offered an escape from his challenging home life. Despite his introverted nature, Daniel possessed a sharp wit and a dry sense of humor that emerged in unexpected moments, earning him the affection and respect of his friends.
Within their trio, Daniel played a crucial role as the thoughtful observer and the one who often brought a different perspective to their discussions. His thoughtful analysis and careful consideration helped balance their more impulsive, energetic and outgoing personalities. While Spencer and Lincoln were more likely to dive headfirst into a new idea, Daniel was always there to gently guide them toward a more careful and well-considered approach. Together, the three formed a powerful dynamic with a broad range of skills and talents that complemented one another. Their friendship had been built on a foundation of trust, respect, and mutual admiration, and it had grown stronger over the years. They were there for each other through the highs and lows of life, and they knew that no matter what, they could always count on each other.
Music was something they all enjoyed, and they would often play together. They would write songs and sing and play their instruments. It was a way for them to express themselves and have fun together. Music was their escape, their safe haven. It was a place where they could forget about the troubles of the world and just be themselves. It was a place where they could find peace and happiness and a sense of belonging. It was a place where they could forget about their troubles and their worries and just have fun. Music was a way for them to express themselves and their creativity. It was a way for them to let out their emotions and to share their feelings with the world. It was a way for them to connect with others and to form a bond that would last a lifetime. The three boys have dreamt of becoming a famous band one day, and maybe their dream would come true sooner than they thought.
Upbeat music is heard followed by harmonizing vocals before the voice of Daisy Parker is heard singing first. "Bright lights, late nights, ou-out on tour. Screaming fans hanging at the stage door." Daisy was dressed in her usual bright, colorful outfit, complete with a wig that made her feel more like a character than herself. Her voice was powerful and confident, masking the internal struggle she faced each day in the spotlight.
"Everyone who's anyone is wearing my line. Front seats, fashion week, for my designs." Aspen Lambert sung the next verse, her voice strong and clear. She was dressed in her typical designer clothes yet had a tomboyish air to her. She moved with a natural grace, her confidence evident in every step. Aspen had always been the bold, adventurous one among Daisy's friends, unafraid to take risks both in her fashion designs and in life. Her unique sense of style made her a standout, and her loyalty to Daisy was unwavering, despite the pressures of the industry. Her outfit, a mix of edgy and elegant, was something she had designed herself. She was known for pushing boundaries and defying expectations, and her fashion designs were no different.
"Whoo-hoo. One day. Whoo-hoo. Some day. We'll be taking over, look over your shoulder. We're gonna bring it hard to you." Constance, better known as Connie, Montgomery sung the pre chorus, her voice sweet and melodious. She's a talented singer who was a natural on the stage. Her style was much different than her friends'. She had a soft, feminine look, her clothes were a bit more modest, and she was less flashy. She preferred to let her voice and dance moves do the talking and express herself through the elegance and grace of her performances. Connie's outfits, though understated, always had a touch of classic beauty, and she had a talent for bringing out the best in each piece. Her outfits were simple, yet elegant with a touch of glamour. She always looked classy and sophisticated, regardless of the occasion.
"So make it pop," The girls harmonize their voices together as they do the same dance with the backup dancers. Then it's just Connie singing, "We're bout we're bout to blow." Aspen, Daisy, and Conie, sing together again, continuing to do same dances as the backup dancers. "Wait 'til we drop, oh yeah we're ready to go. Ain't gonna stop, when is it time for the show? We make it, you make make it, we make it ma ma ma ma ma make it pop."
"Are you seriously watching that video again? Pretty sure it's engraved in your brain by now, dude."
Spencer jumped in surprise at the voice, closing the laptop he was watching the video on. He was currently in the attic of his house, where he and his friends hung out and played music. It used to be his mom's music studio before she had passed and he practically begged his stepdad not to take it away. His stepdad had agreed as long as Spencer had to keep his grades up and didn't disturb him or his sons. His stepdad's sons were a**holes who treated him like trash, and so did his stepdad. They would always try to mess up his things and would often get him in trouble for no reason. But Spencer didn't care. He had his music and his friends. That's all that mattered.
He turned to see his two best friends, Lincoln and Daniel, standing at the door and looking amused. Lincoln had been the one to speak up, a smirk on his face. Spencer rolls his eyes at the two of them. "It's not engraved in my brain," He huffs, trying to defend himself. "It's just really catchy, alright?"
"You say that about every one of their songs." Lincoln pointed out, leaning against the door frame with crossed arms and a raised brow.
"He has a point though!" Daniel chimes in with a grin. "Their music is really good. Like, I don't know what it is about it, but it just gets stuck in my head." He admits, stepping further into the attic and plopping down on the couch by Spencer. "Don't act like you don't like them too, Linc," He adds, pointing at their friend. "I've seen you watching their videos just as much as Spence has. Plus I've heard you hum a couple of their songs. Don't even try to deny it."
Lincoln opens his mouth to retort, but seemed to think better of it and simply shrugs. "Okay, yeah. Maybe I do like them. Just a little." He says, holding up his hand with his thumb and index finger slightly apart to emphasize his point. "But come on, they're catchy!"
Spencer couldn't help but laugh at his friends' banter. Lincoln and Daniel always knew how to lighten the mood, even on days when Spencer felt weighed down by his home life. Their shared love for music had been the glue that bound them together since they were kids, and moments like these in the attic were a reminder of why their friendship was so special.
"Yeah, okay, fine," Spencer concedes with a grin, leaning back against the couch. "Maybe I do watch their videos a lot. Can you blame me though? Their music is awesome. Plus, Daisy Parker is seriously talented."
Daniel nods in agreement, his expression thoughtful. "She's got a unique voice. And Aspen's fashion sense is pretty cool too."
"Yeah," Lincoln agrees, walking over to sit down on one of the chairs by the couch. "Connie's a really good singer and dancer. It's no wonder they've gotten so popular so fast. They're actually pretty good. It's impressive how they blend their individual styles into their performances. Maybe one day we'll be up there too, doing what we love, just like them."
Spencer's eyes lit up at the idea, a flicker of hope in his voice. "Yeah, imagine us on stage, rocking out with our own songs. That'd be something."
Daniel smiles at his friend's enthusiasm. "We'll get there someday. We just have to keep working hard and believing in ourselves. And speaking of that, we need to rehearse if we wanna win the Battle of the Bands coming up."
"Good point." Spencer agrees, sitting up straighter and leaning over to grab his song notebook. "We need a killer performance to win this thing." Spencer flips through his song notebook, filled with lyrics and chord progressions scribbled in various colors of ink. Each page represents hours of creative exploration and shared moments with Lincoln and Daniel, where melodies took shape and harmonies found their place. "Okay, so, honestly I've been working on a new song, but I need some help with some lyrics and figuring out some parts."
Daniel and Lincoln exchange a look, before turning back to Spencer with matching grins. "Let's hear it." Lincoln encouraged.
The next few hours the boys went over Spencer's new song he had written, discussing different ideas for it. The Battle of the Bands was coming up and they had to be prepared. The Battle of the Bands was being held by a record label, and the winning group would have the chance to win a record deal with them. The stakes were high, and they had to put their all into their performance if they wanted to win. And they all wanted to win because it was their chance to make their dreams come true. They would do whatever it took to win, because this was their chance to shine and to show the world what they were made of and make their dreams come true.
