Deep within the jungles of the Amazons is untouched land that belongs to the mythic creatures known as the Lamias. Half human and monster and half snake.

They lived in peace for hundreds of years without any disturbance from the outside world. But that wouldn't last for long.

Just a few years back, outsiders that cut down and ruined habitats for rare creatures so that they could develop the land for their civilization came close to where their secret empire lay. The Queen, Nagatari Scales, did everything in her power to drive them off. But they were persistent.

She didn't know what to do. Until…

"Maybe it's time we let the world know that we're here…"

She wondered out loud. Of course her court didn't take it too well. Saying that they can drive off the invaders without revealing their secret paradise. But she had already concocted a plan that would save her people. 

She decided to test humanity by making pet shops around the world that adopted out one of her people's lower species. Which she had adoringly named Bitties. These Bitties, though in a lower class, were pure hearted creatures and good judges of character. And if humanity ruined their chances by hurting these innocent creatures then she would have no choice but to curse the land outside of their home so that no human or monster alive will ever THINK of stepping into her kingdom.

She wanted to use that as the last resort. For the spell required a lot of soul power and would put her and others in her court to a long slumber.

So with protection spells of ill fortune placed at the barriers of her kingdom. She set off in disguise to make her plan into a reality. The first stop, America. To a small town that bordered off of Louisiana. Where the reptiles of the bayou were strong with their culture. In a little spot tucked in between buildings. Inconspicuous to the ordinary person. But noticeable by those who truly had a heart of gold and a good soul. She named her store, "Ebott's Little Helper's." Named after her kingdom.

This is where our story begins.
