This oneshot is set in an AU kinda inspired by JustAnotherDream_15's story "What I Like About You". In this AU, every character is in the music industry, either independent or in a band. But, unlike WILAY, the characters aren't based off of actual musicians.

Laurance's smile lit up the room as he finished performing in front of millions of people on live television.

It was the first time he had performed on TV ever since his career blew up, and he was incredibly nervous beforehand. What if he messed up? What if he forgot the words in the middle of the song? What if he tripped and fell off stage? Thankfully, everything went well.

"Everyone, give it up, for Laurance Zvahl!" The interviewer shouted as the crowd went wild. "Buy his debut album, out now!"

From the corner of his eye, Laurance saw the familiar cover of his album held up high for everyone to see. He always felt proud seeing it. It was his first album - proof that his career was, after lots of effort, finally getting somewhere...

... and it's all thanks to her.

Walking off stage finally, she was in his sights, smiling just as much as he was.

"Aphmau!" Laurance exclaimed, running up to her and pulling her close.

"Laurance! You did so great out there! I'm so happy for you!"

Hearing her encouraging words, Laurance felt his heart soar.

Aphmau was his muse, his inspiration, his one and only love. She was the reason he was so successful. His whole first album was filled with songs about their relationship - the high moments, the low ones... everything. She was his everything, and he was hers.

"Thanks, Aph..." Laurance replied, letting go of her after a bit.

She grinned up at him. "Oh no, don't thank me yet! We still haven't gotten celebratory breadsticks! Dinner's on me today."

The brunette frowned. "Isn't the gentleman supposed to pay-"

"Shh... do you hear that?"

Laurance listened closely to his surroundings. "No..."

"That's the sound of disappointment because we haven't eaten delicious breadsticks yet. C'mon! TO OLIVE GARDEN!" Aphmau yelled, grabbing Laurance's hand and pulling him away. He laughed.

I love this girl so much...

The two left the building wearing sunglasses and hats. They were wearing these pieces of clothing for various reasons, but mostly so they won't be recognized so easily.

Finally arriving at Olive Garden, the couple made reservations and sat down, trying not to be loud. Both Aphmau and Laurance were celebrities, and singers at that. If someone nearby recognized their voices, they would be ambushed by both fans and haters very quickly. That wouldn't be good.

While Aphmau quietly devoured her breadsticks, Laurance admired her with loving eyes. She was truly perfect to him, and he was so happy that he could have her instead of some mystery man with abs.

"Hey, Laurance?" Aphmau asked, snapping Laurance out of his trance.

"Yes, Angel?"

Blush spread across her face before she whispered, "I wanted to know... what was the inspiration for the song you sang up there? "Only You"...?"

Oh, right, I haven't told her, have I...?

Laurance smiled and replied, "I'll tell you once we head back home."

Pouting, she complied and continued noming away at her food.

The couple had a delightful dinner date, ending in Aphmau paying for the whole meal, much to Laurance's dismay. Finally, the two arrived at their shared house. Laurance plopped down sleepily onto the couch. Aphmau sat down next to him.

"We're home, Laur. Now, can you answer my question?"

"What question- Oh! Right! ... it's you."

"H-Huh?"

"My inspiration for that song was you, and only you," Laurance said with a grin. "It's my favourite song out of all of the album's songs because it's about our relationship from beginning to now, so I decided to play it at my first television appearance."

"I knew it..."

An idea then popped into Laurance's head. "Want me to sing it to you? Now that you know who it's really about, I want you to listen to the lyrics a little bit closer!"

"O-Okay!"

Laurance nodded, quickly getting his guitar and returning. Just like that, Aphmau recieved a beautiful acoustic version of the song.

As she listened while looking into his beautiful baby blue eyes, she realized how much he loved her. She could see it in his eyes, hear it in his voice, in his lyrics... he loved her, and she loved him just as much.

Strumming the last chord, Laurance smiled gently. "So?"

Blush spread across Aphmau's face. "Y-Yeah, I hear it now."

"Good. Hopefully, this song will remind you that the only one I love is the breathtaking Aphmau."

"It will... I love you, Laurance."

"I love you too."
