2. 5TH MUSTER
Y/N's POV
I woke up this morning, stretched, and sighed. I hadn't slept well. My mind was filled with thoughts of Jungkook from the previous night. He had been so adorable and handsome, and I couldn't believe I had actually met him. A part of me wished he could be mine, but I knew that wasn't possible. He's an idol with millions of fans around the world. Besides, as an ARMY, I knew BTS members weren't supposed to date fans. I shook off the lingering thoughts, trying to focus on my studies. This was my last year of school, and I was determined to get the highest grades.
Suddenly, my phone rang, making me flinch. It was my best friend, Yoonmin.
On the phone:
"Hey! Are you awake yet?" she yelled, almost deafening me.
"What do you mean, 'Are you awake?' Of course, I am! Who else would be talking to you right now?" I grumbled, rubbing my ear.
"That was just my way of greeting you," she giggled.
I rolled my eyes. "A simple 'Good morning' would've worked just fine."
"Whatever. I've got good news for you!"
"What news?" My excitement perked up. Who doesn't love good news first thing in the morning?
"I bought us two tickets!"
"Tickets? For what?"
"Y/N! Don't tell me you've forgotten about BTS's 5th Muster concert next Saturday..."
Oh no—how could I forget? I grabbed my phone, screamed into my pillow, and then spoke into the phone again. "No way! How could I forget?? Yoonmin, you're the best! Muahhh!" I blew her a dramatic kiss through the phone.
"Geez... And you call yourself an ARMY?" she sighed deeply. She knew me too well.
"Wait, Yoonmin, I thought you were an EXOL. How come you're buying BTS tickets?"
"Just because I'm an EXOL doesn't mean I don't like BTS!" she laughed.
"You traitor..." I teased, and we both burst out laughing.
"Anyway, see you at school. Bye!" I hung up the phone and got ready for the day, already excited for next week.
1 Week Later (Saturday)
Jungkook's POV
The day had finally arrived—BTS's 5th Muster concert. We had been practicing for this moment for so long. I was in the green room, waiting for everything to kick off. Namjoon hyung was talking with the manager, sorting out last-minute details. Jimin and Taehyung were, as usual, glued to their phones. I noticed Taehyung smiling; he was probably chatting with some ARMY on Weverse. Yoongi and Hoseok hyung were still in the makeup chairs, finishing up.
We were all dressed in sharp black and white suits, ready to give the performance of our lives.
Jungkook's POV
Suddenly, Y/N flashed in my mind. Ever since that night, I couldn't stop thinking about her. There was something about her that kept pulling me in. I wanted to meet her again, to talk to her, to get to know her better... maybe even make her my girlfriend. But I knew I couldn't. It was against the rules. BTS members weren't allowed to date fans. Still, the thought of her was stuck in my head, making me wish things could be different.
I felt a hand on my shoulder and turned around to see Seokjin hyung standing behind me.
"Jungkook, are you nervous?"
"What makes you think that?" I let out a forced laugh, trying to cover up how I was really feeling.
Truthfully, I was a bit nervous. Usually, I wasn't, but today felt different. The concert was huge, and something about the night had me on edge, but I didn't want my hyungs to notice.
"Here's a dad joke for you..." Seokjin made that iconic face, the one that warned everyone a bad joke was incoming.
"Hyung, please don't start this again," I groaned, already anticipating the terrible pun.
"How does a cow laugh?" he asked, eyes gleaming with excitement.
"Jin—" I tried to stop him.
"Moo...ha...ha...ha!" Seokjin burst into his windshield wiper laugh, and despite myself, I couldn't hold it in any longer. I burst into laughter too.
"And here's another one! What's the full form of RED? Revolution, Evolution, Drop in the ocean! Ha Ha HA HA HA!"
I wiped the tears from my eyes, still laughing. "Hyung, you should leave BTS and join a comedy group. You'd be in the top 10 of the lamest comedians!"
His jokes, as ridiculous as they were, helped ease the nervousness that had been weighing on me. Just then, the door opened, and Namjoon hyung walked in, his blonde hair shining under the lights.
"It's time, let's go!" he said, his voice steady and commanding.
We gathered together, doing our usual pre-concert cheer.
"BANG BANG!" we shouted.
"BANG BANGTAN!" we all cried in unison before stepping onto the stage.
Our first song was "Boy With Luv," followed by "Idol." The energy was intense, and performing "Idol" drained me completely. I only had five minutes to rest before I was up again for my solo performance of "Euphoria."
When I walked back on stage, the entire stadium was glowing with purple lights. It felt like I was swimming in a sea of purple—an endless ocean of ARMYs. Their energy, their love... it was overwhelming in the best way. I took a deep breath, feeling the adrenaline surge through me as I prepared to give them everything I had.
The thought of Y/N flickered in my mind again, and I smiled to myself. Maybe, just maybe, she was somewhere out there, watching.
Jungkook's POV
"JUNGKOOK! JUNGKOOK!"
My name echoed through the hall, carried by the voices of thousands of ARMYs. Every chant, every scream, recharged me with a burst of energy I didn't know I had left. Some fans held up posters and placards with my name beautifully written, glowing against the lights.
I couldn't help but feel overwhelmed by the love that surrounded me. What have I done in my past life to deserve all this? A part of me always worried—What if I don't live up to their expectations? But for ARMYs, I would keep trying, pushing myself to the limit. I knew, deep down, that no matter what, they would be with me throughout this journey.
I started singing the next verse of "Euphoria."
"Naneun ne salme dasi tteun Haebich,
Ieorin sijeol nae kkumdeuri jaerim..."
The cameras panned across the audience, capturing the joy on their faces. It filled my heart with warmth. They were enjoying my performance, and their happiness gave me strength.
Suddenly, the crowd erupted in excitement. OooooooooooooooO!!
I was startled for a second, unsure of what had sparked their sudden outburst. Then I realized the camera had returned to focus on my face. I couldn't help but laugh at myself, knowing how much they adored these little moments.
"Jeogi mullesso badaga deullyeo
Kkumeul gonnesso sulpul neomuro..."
As I sang, I smiled deeply, looking out at the sea of ARMYs. They were my stars, my guiding light. It wasn't just a concert; it felt like a shared experience between me and them.
Suddenly, something magical happened—the purple ocean of lightsticks began shifting to a soft blue hue. The stadium glowed, a beautiful wave of blue light washing over the crowd. It felt like a dream, a connection that went beyond words.
This moment, this bond with ARMY, was something I would treasure forever.
"You are the cause of my euphoria~"
As I sang the final line, my eyes locked with the big screen displaying the crowd. Among thousands of faces, one stood out—a familiar pair of eyes stared back at me. Her smile was radiant, her lips curving into an infectious grin as she cheered my name, waving her ARMY bomb high in the air.
My heart skipped a beat. ("Y/N... she came to see my performance?!")
For a brief moment, everything around me faded. The crowd, the lights, the music—it was as if it were just the two of us. The memory of that night flashed in my mind, and now here she was, among thousands of fans, cheering for me.
I couldn't help but smile back, feeling a surge of emotions. Somehow, the performance became even more personal. I sang that last note for her, knowing that she was out there, watching, supporting me like she had since the beginning.
I was caught up in the moment, my heart racing with excitement. What are the odds? It felt like fate.
......To be continued......

I might be unable to upload the next parts quite often. Actually my work is done but my PC is not working. I'll try to fix the problem as soon as possible. Please pardon me and keep your suspense until then. MIANHAE. --Jeongsri
