Part 8
You dress, and look at yourself in the mirror. Today you look much more like Sif than you thought you ever could. The leather gauntlets on your arms are tightened just enough, the hilt of the sword at your thigh glistens in its holster Your breeches are brown, and straps reflect against the fabric. Your plated chest armor shines, and you adjust it as best as you can.
That's when there's a knock on your door. You turn towards the sound. You squint your (e/c) eyes and concentrate. You can see, with your power, that Loki is just beyond the door. His helmet is gone, and he has a small grin on his face. He stands with his hand behind his back, and he goes to knock again. As he does, you you pull your vision out, and call out.
“Come in,” you say as you walk over to your bed. As you sit, he enters, and without turning around, he shuts the door. He smiles at you, put stays put. You return the smile, and pat the spot on the bed beside you. He walks towards you and sits, pulling his hidden hand from behind his back. You look down, and he is holding the most beautiful flower you've ever seen. The petals are a deep purple, and they fan out like a rose, but it smells like a lily.
You take it from Loki, and inhale it deeply. “It's beautiful.” You whisper. You feel sick, knowing how much he adores you, and you know you're going to betray him soon, without a second thought. Loki tilts his head to the side, placing his index finger and thumb under your chin, making you look up at him.
“Like you," he mutters, before looking up, and staring not only into your eyes, but your very soul. “You look so sad. D-do you miss Earth?”
You shake your head, and fall into him. “No, Loki,” you sigh. “I'm just adjusting.” He nods, resting his chin against your head. He embraces you, and one, silent tear cascades down your cheek. This will most likely be your last exchange before the worst happens, you realize. “Loki. . .” He shifts so he can see you. His gaze is questioning. You swallow, squeezing the fabric of his clothing between your fingers. “I love you,” you admit. You've known this all along, but you need him to hear it. “So much it hurts. Promise me you'll never forget that.”
Loki seems mildly confused, but he nods. “I won't,” he nods. “Because I love you just as much.” You smile sadly, pulling away from him so you can truly look up into his face. You close your eyes, pressing your lips to his. He kisses you back. Unfortunately, you'll never have a moment as pure as the first time the two of you kissed. Nothing will ever be that simple between the two of you again

Sif leads you into the room where the Warriors three usually spend their time. There is a fireplace, enough food for Volstagg, and many places to sit. The two of you walk in, and the three men look up. Volstagg smiles, and so does Fandral. Hogun just nods as you both find a seat.
Volstagg continues eating, and Fandral goes back to pacing. Finally, he turns on his companion and absolutely flips. “Volstagg! Thor has been banished, we're on the brink of war with Jotunhime, Loki has the throne, and somehow you've managed to consume three wild boar, two cakes, a side of beef, and two casks of ale. Do you care?!”
Volstagg staggers to a standing position. “Do not mistake my appetite for apathy!” He shouts.
Sif jumps up out of her seat, and to the table, throwing herself between the two men. “Calm yourselves!” she shouts. They look at the ground. You and Hogun rise. Joining the three of them at the table. “You know what we have to do.” Everyone nods.
Hogun buts in. “What we must do.”
Fandral nods. “We need to get Thor ba-”
Volstag shakes his head. “Shh! Hindrel might be watching. Plus, it's suicide!”
Sif glares angrily at him. "Thor would do the same for any of us!"
Right as the words leave her mouth, a guard opens the doors. “Hindrel would like a word with you.” You all look at each other with uneasy glances, but follow him anyways.
*
You're all led to the bifrost. Hindrel is there as usual, considering he is the Gate Keeper. He is completely dressed from head to toe in gold armor. His dark skin seems to reflect the lighting in the room, and his amber-red eyes gaze steadily at the five of you as you all enter.
All of you circle around the bifrost. “So,” Hindrel says, his hands resting on the hilt of his sword. “You would blatantly go against the king, and defy every oath you've taken as warriors to save Thor?” You all nod. “Good.” Hinrel walks away from the bifrost and away from us.
“Wait,” Fandral calls. “Does this mean you're going to open the bifrost for us?” Hindrel keeps walking.
“I'm under sworn oath. I can't do that for you.” He disappears.
“He's a complicated fellow, isn't he?” Fandral asks with furrowed brows.
Sif rolls her eyes, and turns when Hindrel's sword slides into the key. Lightning shoots from it, and you're all yanked through the bifrost, and shot through the cosmos. Looks like I'll be visiting earth again; sooner than I thought.

You land in the middle of a desert. All five you look around, and start heading for the town a few miles away. You hope Thor is okay, you realize as you walk in the heat.
All five of you enter town. As you walk, you begin to feel self-conscious. No one on earth knows what's going on. The civilians are staring at all of you, but Sif and the Warriors Three don't seem to notice. As you walk down the center of the dusty street, you notice a small diner. As you near, you can see in the windows, a fit blond man dressed in jeans, a white t-shirt, and a plaid over-shirt. Next to him is a woman with light, brown hair, and she is oddly dressed similarly. Seated at the table beside them is a girl with dark hair, glasses, and a beanie. An elder man dressed in jeans, a gray shirt, and a blue button-down sits beside her. All five of you knock on the glass windows simultaneously, and they all look up. Thor grins, and you all enter. He hugs the Warriors, and Sif. He looks at you questioningly, while everyone he was sitting with basically have let their jaws fall onto the floor.
“It's good to see you my friends,” he says as his companions join you. “But,” he clears his throat and looks at you. “Who are you?”
You think for a moment on how to convince him that it really is you. Then you get it, and give him a playful smile, crossing your arms over your chest. “Okay, remember when you were seven, and I was five?” He doesn't respond, but you continue anyways. “Remember how we let father believe you killed that spider monster?” Thor goes bright red, and covers a hand over your mouth.
“If you say one more word, (Y/N), I will smite you, here and now.” He sounds menacing, but he is grinning as he wraps you in a crushing hug. His blue eyes sparkle as he soon pulls away. They're the same pair of eyes, if only a little more pained. Everything else about him is totally different though. For one, he isn't the scrawny blond child he used to be, and he is large, muscular, tall, and has a beard.
“Anyways, Jane,” he pulls the brunette woman over to us. The rest of their friends join too. They are still shocked. “This, is my sister (Y/N), Lady Sif.” He gestures to her, and she nods with a smile. “And the Warriors three. Frandal, Hogun, and Volstagg.” Everyone smiles, greeting each other warmly.
Thor finally sighs and looks at everybody. “Now, what are you all doing here?”
“We're bringing you back, Thor,” Sif explains with a bright grin. You and the other nod in agreement.
Thor shakes his head with a frown. He rests a hand on Sif's shoulder. “I can't. My father is dead because of me. I must live out my exile here, in this realm.”
You shake you head and grasp your brothers forearm. “No, he's not. He's just in the Odin's sleep.”
Thor's eyes flash. You can tell he's about ready to fume, but that's when the ground starts to shake, and an explosion is heard. Something tells you that Loki knows what's going on, and the thought terrifies you. You start to tremble, but not for fear of what he sent, but for fear of knowing that you're going to lose him. And that hurts you more than anything.
