Chapter seventeen,

you'll end up choking on your words

▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂

The front house door houses was slammed shut, Citlali angrily stormed in as she didn't bother to use her cane only for the door to be opened again, "Don't you ever go on slamming the doors, Citlali!" Mariana told her daughter.

Citlali was fuming, all while she had then angrily turned her entire body around, her eyes roaming in search of where her mothers voice was coming from, "I can't believe you, you hid all of this information from me. Were you ever planning on telling me?" Her voice cracked.

Mariana had exhaled her breath at the question her daughter asked. Because she knew the answer.

"No." Mariana guilty spoken and had then continued her statement, "And, then you just got roped up in this because of him, he led you to her!" She attempted to blame someone else for her mistakes.

Citlali had practically laughed at her moms statement, anger was just laced in her voice, "So, now this is Chads fault!? I'm sorry, but he isn't my mom who kept such a secret from me." She reminded her mom, again. Tears were just gliding down her eyes, hand just wiping her left cheek that was stained with tears.

Mariana sighed, "That's not what I meant, Citlali. . ." She had attempted to calm herself down and approaching her daughter who just stepped away from her, "I was just trying to protect you like I've always have done, and just protecting you from this franchise and. . ." She was interrupted by her daughter who spoken.

"Let me guess. . . Samantha Carpenter?"

She had simply heard all about her sister, well before she knew they were sisters on the news, or how her bestfriend would ramble on how someone made a hate page for her, and all of that.

Mariana shook her own head, "From this nasty world, Citlali. . . ." She had gently told her before she gently continued, "Look at what they've labeled your sister . . . society already has a harsh label on her, and they don't even know her. I don't want you to endure negative labels." She truthfully told her daughter.

Citlali just couldn't stop the fucking tears streaming down her eyes, "I'm already labeled a damn freak for being blind, Mom. I have shit thrown at me, or people shoving me like if I'm none existence. . ." She had hissed at her mom before continuing, "I had fucking alcohol pour onto me a couple nights ago because I didn't see this girl, and was basically told to go to a party with people like me. You think that I care if they label me a killer, or what not? I'm used to this bullshit, because all I've endured is the cruel words of people. No one even fucking likes me besides my boyfriend and my dead bestfriend!" She was practically crying at this point, she was so tired of everything and just everyone's bullshit.

Mariana was crying at this point.

She didn't realize that her daughter had felt this. She just always seemed so happy, though it was probably just a simple cover up because here she was just exploding all of her very own bottled up feelings.

"I'm sorry. . . I'm so sorry, Corazón for everything." Mariana apologized to daughter and attempted to pull her into a hug only for Citlali to shove her away.

"Don't you ever fucking touch me, I want nothing to do with. . . Te odio." She hissed at her mom before disappearing upstairs to her room, the door slamming right behind her.

Mariana had just easily broken down in complete tears, regret radiating inside of her entire body for never telling her daughter the damn truth only for her to feel her phone just ringing, and getting called into for work. She wanted to decline, but figured she needed the distraction from today.

Perhaps, Citlali will forgive her tomorrow?

"Are you sure you don't want me to pick you up, S— I mean there's an extra mattress here, and we can sleep there in the living room?" The very gentle voice of her boyfriend was heard, as he had to kind of just backtrack on saying Samantha Carpenters name.

Samantha hasn't spoken to anyone after hearing this confession, or so even told Tara about it. Despite the screaming match, it was surprising that Tara heard nothing.

Citlali voice simply sounded as if she was congested because of her crying, "I can't go over there, Chad. . . I don't want to be in a damn room where sam's at," She wasn't ready to come to terms on having a sister, "I'm not ready, and I doubt Tara is happy of knowing that we share the same sister." She mumbled out.

Chad lightly sighed, "Screw what she says, Sweetheart. If you're also pushing Sam away because of Tara. . . it's not good, Sweetheart. You can't just let someone, especially a new person control your life decisions." He gently told her before continuing, "But, I understand that you're in denial of learning about having a sister, and Sam will be patient and not pressure you." He reassured her.

"What if I'm never ready. . ." She had questioned her boyfriend, "I don't know what to do anymore, I'm so confused and betrayed by my mom. I hate her, I hate her so much." She mumbled out with her bottom lip that was just quivering.

Chad gently spoken, "You don't hate your mom, Citlali. You're mad at her, but you don't hate her." He had known that what Mariana done was really fucking messed up, hiding the fact on who Citlali biological father was, and then using Dewey Riley to play pretend dad for who knows how long until his death, but then he realized that it was to protect Citlali, but it had hurt her in the process.

Citlali had spoken to him, again, though instantly flinched when her front door house was slammed shut, "I have no idea why she thinks that she can go on slamming the front door shut, she didn't keep a secret." She had clenched her fists together, all while laying on her bed.

Unaware that it wasn't her mom.

Ethan Landry was inside her home.

And, preparing for the night. All while, his father was already waiting for Mariana Perez in the hospital building for her death because her time was up.

The line had then began to immediately just change, that made her furrow her eyebrows in confusion, "Chad?" She had loudly called into the phone.

Her face suddenly paled at this moment.

A very disoriented voice was just simply heard chuckling on the line, "Are you ready for tonight, baby. Let's play a fun game. Lights off." He let out a hysterical laugh, all while she began to panic.

All, that was heard was hysterical screaming for help in her very own house alongside with her just being pushed down the stairs, a figure stomping on her hand that made her instantly sob, again.
