Chapter fifteen,
destined to be alone

If she had known that she would've crossed paths with him, again. She would've ran for hell and screaming for help, but she didn't.
After losing him, Randy Meeks, a couple years ago it had drastically brought her into a very dark tunnel, and it had seemed that Billy Loomis had brought back the very so little light that she had, but more so she did.
The birth of their daughter. Perhaps, the sound of her very first cry had put a smile on her lips, her hand clutching her cheek, the little soft cries it had easily brought back a piece of her heart.
Sitting in her desk as she was doing her school work, she heard him speaking, "Did you just throw your avocado at me?" He questioned Citlali who was giggling, that instantly brought a laughter to Billy.
Mariana had let out the biggest smile ever despite being intrigued in her very own studies, it had seemed that their daughter was having a food fight with him, especially when it comes down to avocado.
So, she had ultimately the. decided to just take a small break from her own studies, and ultimately gotten up from her chair, she had on shorts and a long t-shirt, and strolling her way downstairs, all while just putting her hair up in a ponytail.
She let out a gasp at the kitchen floor.
"What's all this mess?" She had attempted not to step in any of the avocado or vague fruit that was on the floor, Citlali was just searching around for her mom, but the darkness in her eyes was just very difficult, though she can see a very small portion of shadows.
Billy had then ultimately pointed at their daughter, "Ask Lala, she finds it quite funny to throw her food on the ground." It was then that a avocado was thrown in her face, that shocked Billy alongside Mariana.
Citlali always misses to throw in the face, especially because of her disability, but it had made them let out a laugh.
Mariana has kissed the top of her head, speaking proudly to her, "Good job, that's how you shush them up." Her daughter blabbered and shook her head.
He had simply narrowed his very own eyes at the two girls, specifically his girls and had just began to eat the Caldo de Pollo that Mariana had made them just last night, but his eyes had lingered on the ring that she was wearing, the ring he bought her as he was surprised she was wearing it.
He let out an awkward cough, "You're wearing the ring. . ." He cautiously opened his cold can of coke, "I thought you didn't want to wear it?" He shyly spoken to her.
Mariana had sighed, "I'm giving this a chance, Billy. . ." She fiddled with her fingers, slowly approaching him, "I just — What if you fuck this up? I'm not trying to end up hurt, I know what you did with Sydney." She had then blabbered.
She had accidentally walked in on Christina and him, running afterwards and telling Tatum about the incident. They simply both vowed to just keep it a secret because they didn't want to hurt Sydney.
He clenched his jaw as he averted his eyes from her, speaking, "You know exactly why I had did that with, Sydney. . ." Her name was like venom to him, a horrible distaste for him to even mention her name that had just made Mariana flinch, "Christina had meant nothing to me, she was an easy fuck, and that's it." He mentioned to her.
Mariana had clenched her fists, and attempting to control her anger, "So, what am I?" She harshly retorted.
His eyes lingered onto her figure, he had glanced at her brown eyes before glancing at their daughter, "You're the woman that I have married. . ." He had slowly began and standing himself up, "The woman that I love, and also gave me a daughter who I also love very much." He reminded her.
"But, are we enough for you, Billy?" Her eyes were just getting extremely glossy, as he had already known on what she had clearly meant by this statement.
He had then instantly pulled her into a hug, "You two are enough for me, Mariana. . ." The girl had lightly sobbed in the reassurances, and wrapping her arms around his waist, "I want to be good for you, and her. . . this pregnancy and everything, it opened my eyes up. I know that I can't change my damn past, but I want to have a better future for us three, especially her." He was referring to Citlali. He really did love his little girl.
The moment that Mariana Perez had given him the pregnancy sticks, it changed his life up for the best. That was the day that he also had decided to change himself for the best for his little family.
Except, he was clueless that his one night stand, Christina Carpenter had his daughter, Samantha Carpenter and wasn't even treating her that good. If only he had somehow known about Sam's existence, he would've brought her here with them, but he didn't.
Mariana sniffled all while she had slightly laughed, "You just make it so difficult to still be mad at you. . ." She had paused before she had continued, "But, I don't think that I can ever be mad at you, Billy Loomis." She whispered into his ear.
All while, Citlali blabbered about nonsense, and just smacking her hands on her small little table out of boredom.
Billy smiled against Mariana's ear, "You can never ever be mad at me even the moments that you make me sleep on the couch, grouchy woman." He had chuckled against her ear.
"Do you want to sleep there, tonight?" She has raised her eyebrow at him, as he had lightly smacked her ass, that made her slap his chest.
"Knock it off!"
"Bossy woman, your mom is bossy."
If only she had somehow known that in a couple months, she would end up loosing him as well, perhaps it was her karma.

"I've got my eyes on him," Detective Bailey spoken to his partner, as he was thirty minutes away from them, "I'm about to go in." He told his partner.
His partner simply called out, "You can't approach him, yet. . . i have the warrant with me just hold on thirty minutes." He called out.
They have just simply been watching the family of three for quite the months, and knew of the baby. So, they needed to be careful.
Detective Bailey hung up the phone, as he had instantly pulled out his gun, "We're doing this my way." He declared, and opening up his car door.
He seen the family of three leaving the grocery door, Mariana holding hands with him, all while he was carrying the baby car seat, a couple of grocery bags on the two adults hands, he waited for them to put the child inside of the car.
Detective Bailey had cautiously approached them, "Excuse me, excuse me. . ." He slowly began speaking to them, that captured their attention, "I'm with the police." He pulled out his badge.
Their eyes widened, face paling.
Mariana spoke up, "Do you have a warrant?"
"No. . ." Detective Bailey remarked.
"Then you can't be here seen speaking with us, so have a good day." She had given him a sarcastic smile.
Billy Loomis had simply just remained quiet, that it was best his wife just does the talking on here because he'll loose controls
Detective Bailey knew she was right, so he found a solution. A solution that can make Billy go mad, "Is this the type of man that you want around your daughter?" He had them pointed his finger to Billy.
Mariana was just offended, "That's my daughters father, you don't know a thing about anything, fuckface." She sneered in venom.
Detective Bailey had chuckled, "Careful on who you're speaking with, as if knowing that this killer is your daughters father to be even comforting." He declared, though his eyes had them drifted to the side Citlali was sleeping at as he began to head that way.
Billy caught that, he was already fuming by all of this, "The fuck are you doing, you better not touch my daughter." He gripped the man's arm before Detective Bailey had a chance to even open the car door, that he didn't even see the gun in the detectives hand.
The sound of a bullet was heard.
Mariana instantly ran, eyes widened in horror, especially when the Detective wouldn't stop shooting, "What are you doing!?" She had cried out in horror.
Billy was just trying to protect Citlali.
Detective Bailey sneered, "He came at me, Mariana. And, when a person comes at a cop they have to shoot." He taunted her.
Mariana bended down to her deceased husbands level, and sobbing uncontrollably, all while the cries of Citlali was heard, "I did you and your daughter a favor." He declared to the woman.
Mariana stood up then and glaring at the Detective in front of her, "You ruined our lives, he was getting better for her!" She screamed at his face in disgust, "He wasn't fucking like that anymore, you're a dirty cop!" She sobbed, as her eyes then drifted downwards, again.
Billy Loomis was dead.
Detective Bailey grabbed her arm, and twisting it that made her wince, "No one here will believe you, Mariana. Go and check up on your daughter, and one day you'll be thanking me." He shoved her against her car door.
Mariana had simply sobbed against her daughters car seat, all while her daughter had then wrapped around her small hand around her moms finger, she felt distraught from all of today, especially when they believed his word against hers.
It was her karma.
Destined to be alone and not loved.
