Chapter five,
a killer on campus?

Citlali's arms had simply remained wrapped around his entire waist with her head that was just snuggled against his chest, the sound of his heart beating was comforting to her, it kept her calm as she gently spoken to him, "Thank you, uhm for this." She had gently pulled her head away from his chest, tilting her head upwards with a smile on her face.
Chad smiled down at her soothing her face cheeks, "You're, welcome. What happened in there?" He was curious into knowing what had made her so terrified.
Citlali had opened her mouth about to confess into what was happening only to them realize she didn't quite want to ramble on her own business into a strangers home filled with people she doesn't know, "I'll tell you all about it when you drop me off home, but —" She was rudely interrupted by a familiar voice that had made her flinch.
She had sounded quite angry that she was even here in the apartment, "Who the hell is she? You better not plan to even fuck her over here, Sam and I aren't cleaning up your sloppy seconds, and I have no idea how you managed to even sneak her upstairs without Sam even noticing." Tara had angrily spat.
Citlali had instantly felt herself getting a bit uncomfortable, speaking, "I can leave now, I'm sorry if I intruded your spacing." She offered a sad smile, and had immediately began to pull out her cane to search her way out only to feel Chad gently gripping her arm with his hand, as a way to get her not to leave.
Tara immediately noticed the interaction, alongside with the cane she was using. It was then that she realized the girl is blind, but that wasn't her concern, she couldn't help curiously noticed how this girl resembles someone, but she couldn't put a name to it.
Chad's voice boomed a bit loudly, "She can stay for as long as she pleases, Tara. Your sister already knows that she's here, but we're leaving already, so you don't have to go worrying about her." His jaw clenched.
He was so fucking tired of people being so rude towards Citlali, especially when she's the sweetest girl in town.
Tara's cheeks instantly flushed in quite the embarrassment for lashing out, "Oh. . . I'm sorry." She had quickly hurried away from the couple, a part of her was a bit ashamed as she assumed that he was interest in her for always defending her since Woodsboro, but she had simply gotten the wrong idea.
She should've seen the fucking signs when he would constantly be ditching them to hangout with his apparent mystery girl.
Citlali innocently smacked his chest, "You didn't have to be so mean." She had given him an immediate stern look, all while he placed a gentle kiss on her forehead.
"And you gotta stop being so nice to people who are disrespectful. . ." He sternly told her as he twirled a piece of her dark hair continuing on, "Don't get me wrong, sweetheart, I love your kindness, but some of these people don't deserve your kindness." He reminded her.
Citlali shrugged her shoulders, "Kill them with kindness, I guess." She innocently smiled at him.
He simply glanced down and seen her dimples when she smiles, his heart beat more rapidly. He wanted to pull her into a kiss and just as he was about to pull her into kiss a very familiar voice was heard.
"You've got to be kidding me," He had frustratedly groaned in annoyance, all while Citlali giggled feeling his warm lips simply brush against her lips.
"That's strike two." She had simply raised two of her fingers up in the air, speaking, "Third time can be a charm, later. . ." She had easily teased him.
He had lightly chuckled, "Come on, let's go see what's going on over there." He intertwined their hands together.
She quickly heard Anika speaking, "Can you go and get, Sam. Chad?" He was a bit hesitant considering he didn't want to leave Citlali here alone, but she reassured him.
"It's fine, go and get her. . . it seems important." She had squeezed his hand and had easily let it go, as he had simply pressed a soft kiss on her forehead, "Don't miss me too much, pretty girl." He teased her.
A light giggle has escaped her lips, that she wasn't even aware of the two jealous people in the room, amongst with the three girls smiling at the interaction of the couple.
It remained quiet, all while she heard an unfamiliar girls voice, "There's an empty seat by me. . ." She heard a gentle voice, "I'm Quinn by the way." The girl retorted.
Citlali had smiled in complete appreciation from the kindness, "I'm alright standing here, but thanks for the offer, Quinn. . ." For the first time she wasn't experiencing disrespectfulness from someone, "I'm, Citlali Perez." She gently retorted.
"I know, I've heard Chad constantly speak about you a quite lot, you two are the absolute cutest." She had complimented the girl who's cheeks had immediately reddened at what she had heard.
It was the absolute truth, Quinn was never one to ever have favorites, but Citlali Perez was probably the most sweetest person she has ever heard about from Chad's end. It was reasoning into why she didn't even approve of what her dad and brother were even so doing, taunting a girl with a disability and is vulnerable.
The sound of a very familiar girls voice was soon being heard, all while Citlali felt Chad just wrapping his arm around her waist, "What's going on?" She heard the concern laced in the girls voice.
The very sound of the girl speaking to her earlier was heard, "Cute Boy. Nice." Citlali had felt Chad easily whispering into her ear about a guy who entered with them as well.
The sound of the television captured her instant attention, her eyes searching towards where the television was at, "I'm standing in front of the apartment building of two college students. . ." Her eyes practically widened.
Citlali instantly felt her heartbeat began to beat rapidly, she had tightened her own grip on Chad's hand as she was so nervous, "I'm right here, sweetheart. Nothings going to happen." He attempted to reassure her.
Ethan had his mouth covered with his entire hand, smiling. He couldn't fucking wait to kill Chad so he can get Citlali.
He wanted her.
"Have just been released by police. Jason Carvey and Grey Bush. . ." Citlali was just so terrified.
The sound of someone gasping instantly made her jump, "Holy shit, that's that chode from our film class," She heard this different girl snapping her fingers, "The one obsessed with Argento." She rambled.
". . . Also, found at the scene were various Ghostface costumes, a character popularized by the Stab movie franchise."
Citlali had instantly felt the breeze of someone just instantly passing by her, she was coming familiar with this voice, Sam, "Pack a bag. We leave in ten." Her voice was laced with concern and extremely jumpiness.
"Sam, wait." She heard the familiar voice from earlier, the girl who was just calling her a sloppy second. She didn't really like that girl, she made her feel awful.
The complete confusion on an unknown males voice was simply heard, "Wait, What?"
She had suddenly felt Chad just gently releasing the grip onto her own waist, his voice booming a bit loudly, "Thank you, very much suspicious new guy. But, I think we've got it from here. Have a goodnight, stay safe. Go, go, go." She heard the door slamming shut.
Not seconds later felt Chad wrapping his arms around her waist, again, the sound of the girls argument was heard again, "— This might not have anything to do with us!" The girl had frustratedly yelled.
"Are you serious!?" She instantly heard Sam snap at Tara back in pure frustration. It was then that Citlali was actually glad that she had no siblings to deal with.
Tara had argued back, "It's a big city. It's Halloween everybody's wearing a mask." The girl pointed out.
Citlali had heard Sam, "Tara this isn't a coincidence. . ." She detected how unconvinced Sam was before continuing, "You knew him." She argued back.
Tara who called out, "Barely."
Sam practically scoffed, "Chad and Mindy back me up here." She retorted.
She had easily heard Chad mumbling out right beside her, "I mean it is a little bit. . ." She had easily detected the awkwardness that was laced in his voice as she had easily then heard Mindy, "Close to home." She awkwardly added.
Citlali had felt her phone silently vibrating, and easily pulling out all while Chad spoke into her ear, "It's your mom." At this point she was so grateful that he told her who was calling her, as she was terrified it wasn't her mom, and it was this unknown caller who constantly keeps prank calling her.
She had calmly spoken to him, a soft smile had easily appeared on her face, "I'm going to step outside. . . I don't want to speak in here." She had calmly said, "I'll wait for you outside." She responded.
Citlali had stepped out of the apartment closing the door right behind her, and quickly had answered her own phone, "What's wrong, Mami?" She retorted in worrisome.
Mariana sighed in relief, "Where are you, Corazón?" The minute she had heard the news about two dead college students, and a teacher she was worried about her daughter, "Are you home?" She anxiously asked.
Citlali instantly shook her own head, and speaking gently, "I'm still at his friends place, but we should be heading out soon, the sisters are having an argument and it seems that they involved him and his sister." She yawned out.
Mariana had let all of that instantly sink in, speaking calmly, "Okay, Corazón. Call me when you get home. . ." She slightly paused, "Can you ask Chad if he can spend the night with you? I don't want you home alone, Corazón." She was scared of her daughter remaining alone.
Citlali nodded her head, "Okay, Mami."
She had remained sitting quietly by the staircase just waiting for Chad until she had heard a male voice, the same male voice that was inside of the apartment, but she had easily instantly furrowed her eyebrows at what he had called her, "Sam?" He retorted.
Citlali eyes had roamed around in search of the male, "Not Sam." She had easily retorted.
He paused, "Oh. . . I'm, sorry." The girl just seemed so similar to his girlfriend, Samantha Carpenter, but also held features of a male that Sam would be speaking about at times, "Who are you?" He had titled his head.
The sound of the apartment door opening was heard, "Citlali? Sweetheart, you ready to leave?" Her head instantly titled upwards and recognized that voice that made her smile, as she had instantly stood up and just leaving this unknown male by the staircase in complete confusion.
"Yeah, but can we also take Anika and your sister with us, I don't want them heading to wherever their dorm is at alone. . ." Her sweet voice was heard, "New York isn't safe at night, especially if a serial killer is on the loose." She retorted.
