𝟎𝟎𝟑 it's a cruel, cruel night

Chapter three,

it's a cruel, cruel night

▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂

Wandering the streets, late at night especially with this type of weather was always her favorite, her entire arm remained looped around his arm, with the breeze that was just hitting her face and allowing her hair to move swiftly with the wind, "What happened in there? It seemed that your friend was going to go upstairs with that man?" Her nose simply scrunched up and glancing at the boy beside her.

It seemed that the argument between the sisters was continuing since she can hear the yelling, and that's for not even being near by them — A part of her had felt that she was just intruding, so it was why she was attempting to speak about the situation from the party, and not intrude in the sisters argument.

Chad lightly sighed, his other hand was just caressing Citlali's arm that had goosebumps from the breeze, but she seemed to enjoy the breeze of the air, "Yeah, she was going to go upstairs with date-rape Frankie. So, had to get her down before she gets herself in danger, I might've stirred up a fight." He embarrassingly revealed.

Citlali had given his arm a gentle squeeze in simple reassurance, she detected from his voice that he felt embarrassed for instigating a fight in a party, her soft speaking to him, "There's no need for you to feel embarrassed, Chad. He was going to take advantage of your friend, and you were protecting her." She had placed a gentle kiss on his arm.

If there was one thing that Citlali always loathed was men, specifically men exactly like this unknown Frankie. Taking advantage of vulnerable girls, it had always offered her the heebie - Jeebies.

A comforting smile set onto Chads lips, soothing her arms, "I just don't want you getting this wrong impression of me, because trust me, I don't resort to violence." He had confessed to her.

Though, Citlali had never once had an impression that he was violent. She knew of everything of him since their first encounter, and on how he's protective of his inner circle, and of his previous ex -girlfriend Liv who was murdered during their late friends memorial party by a friend they all trusted.

Though, there were those moments that Citlali had where she'd get a bit insecure, and kindly ask him if she wasn't a distraction for his late girlfriend, but he always reassured her that she isn't. He was fully interested in only her since their first encounter.

Citlali didn't want to feel like she was replacing anyone in his previous life, that wasn't ever her intention.

Citlali reassured him, "I know you don't, Chad. I believe you, you mean well." She had placed another kiss on his shoulder.

Her goosebumps were getting more visibly that had only left him raising his eyebrow, and immediately shrugged his jacket off, as she had gently released her grip from his arm, "Here where this, you're getting cold." He had gently began helping her slide on the jacket, that was slightly bigger on her.

A very unfamiliar girls voice was heard that had instantly captured her attention, "Sam's going to get really upset that you're bringing a random girl with us." The girl sounded a bit annoyed.

"She's not a random girl, it's Citlali. . ." Chad snapped at his sister, he didn't mean to sound rude towards his sister , but he had gotten a bit offended when Mindy called her a random girl, especially when he's spent months telling his sister about her, "The girl that I've been seeing, and she's Anika's childhood friend." He had pointed his finger to the girl who was switching hats with Ethan.

Mindy's eyes had practically widened, mouth widening at the girl in front her, "Holy shit, she is fucking real. I thought you invented about a girl you met." She was in disbelief, a part of her just thought Chad was lying since she has never seen this girl in campus.

Chad had felt offended at his sisters response for belittling him on getting a girl, all while Citlali had let out quite the chuckle, "I'm very much real." Her eyes were practically just roaming around the area to wherever the girl was at.

Mindy furrowed her eyebrows, a bit of confusion was distinguished on her face, she found it weird on how the girl was glancing around, that it wasn't until she seen beneath her arm a cane, and the way she was holding onto her brother, it was then she noticed the girl is blind.

She had been about to make a comment, it wasn't going to be rude only for her brother to speak over once he seen the face that she was giving, "Don't." He had sternly told his sister.

Citlali who squeezed his arm, "It's okay, Chad. Curiosity gets the best of people just as long as you don't wave your hand by my face, please don't do that." She kindly told the girl, she always got offended when people would do that to her.

It had always felt highly degrading for her. Also, extremely rude. Her reflexes were always quick, so she always shoved their hands away from her face, that terrified them on her quick instinct.

Mindy had kindly reassured her, "I promise that I won't don't none of that." She had stood beside her brother, as they were catching up with the group of friends.

Citlali was simply able to hear one of them responding calmly, "Just trying to look out for you." She had heard the worrisome laced in the girls voice.

Citlali felt her phone silently ringing, and she had known that it was her mom. A part of her didn't feel like answering since she didn't warn her mom about her whereabouts despite being old enough, her mom always meant well. And, living in a Hispanic house-hold she always had a curfew.

A very abrupt yelling instantly made her flinch, a girl speaking, "I - I know you are. . ." She had heard the frustration laced in the girls voice, she couldn't help but frown, "You, can't do it for the rest of my life though, you have to let me go." The girl calmly mumbled out after spending quite awhile yelling.

Though, it seemed that some instantly interrupted the conversation since she heard loud yelling from behind her, a breeze passing by her, "Hey!"

Citlali roamed her eyes around, and had instantly heard Chad mumble, "Oh, shit. Can you hold Citlali for me." Chad gently tugged her towards Mindy who placed her hand onto her shoulder.

Commotion was just heard until she had heard some words leaving this unknown girls mouth, "Murder!" The girl snarled.

It ultimately made Citlali let out a gasp, as she had felt pity for the girl who was being called a murder — She didn't understand how people can be so cruel, and invent things just from who they come from.

Citlali was coming a bit familiar with the voices, and it was easy to determine who was the one yelling, "What the fuck is wrong with you, bitch!" Sam screamed, she knew that it was her because that's Billy Loomis kid, the girl was trending on the news and still is on the internet, "You got a problem with me?" Her voice was laced with anger.

Unknown girl speaking, "You guys should stay away from her, she knows what she did!" The girl snarled.

"I didn't fucking do anything." She heard Sam defensively yelled out.

   "Oh, sure bitch!"

It had quieted down, "Did that girl leave?" Citlali glanced at Mindy who still had her hand placed on her shoulder.

Mindy nodded her head, "Yeah." Mindy noticed her brother approaching them, and intertwining his hand with Citlali, "Come on, let's go." He began to tug her with his sister who already continued on.

Citlali had paused, "I don't want to feel like I'm intruding your friends place, I'll just grab myself a cab, it's fine." She had slowly raised her own hand, and was softly caressing his face cheek.

He had simply reassured her that it's fine, speaking to her, "It's fine, Citlali. I don't want you going home in wet clothes, and once you change I'll take you home." He had placed his hand over hers.

"Fine, but let me just ask her." She kindly spoken to him, "Where is she?" Her eyebrow raised.

He was a bit hesitant considering it had seemed that Sam is in a bad move, as he had hesitantly approached his friend and seeing Ethan leaving, "Sam?" Chad swallowed down his saliva, and nervously keeping Citlali behind him.

Sam frustratedly speaking, "What!?"

Citlali flinched at the girls tone.

Chad shrugged it off, "Is it alright if my girlfriend uses the bathroom at your apartment to change her clothes?" He kept Citlali right behind him, only for the girl to simply raise her eyebrow at what he said.

Girlfriend? Since when?

But, she felt immediate butterflies.

Sam had simply glanced right behind him, and that was where she had seen a girl in a black dress who's eyes were roaming around the area and simply had a cane underneath her arm, and sighing in pure annoyance, "Fine, whatever." She really didn't have time to argue anymore, so she let it slide.

Citlali had smiled softly to wherever the girl was standing at, "Thank you, I just didn't want to intrude your space." She retorted.

Both were simply strangers, unaware that they are sisters.
