Chapter Fourteen
Two weeks later...
It's amazing how things can happen since homophobic women ended up being cursed to live lives as gay men.
From meetings with lawyers to trips to the employment agencies, Ian Levine and Patrick Andrews were soon registered into the system with their new identities complete with birth certificates, social securities, and state-issued driver's licenses. But of course, the real work would begin with our boys having to start over. Hence the job search and having to tell their stories about what happened.
Soon, both boys were soon working at a smoothie cafe as busboys with Asha and Ebony (who worked part-time as waitresses) supervising them. "Shit," Ian breathed as he finished clearing the last of the tables. "I never knew that Fruit Bombs would be this busy on a weekday."
"Me neither," Patrick grunted as he wiped down the table, frowning as he stepped in a puddle of a spilled smoothie that someone failed to clean. "It feels like a year since we've started."
"It's only your fourth day," Ebony remarked, smirking as she and Asha soon joined them. "And this is part of life with you two having to start from scratch. No one else other than the people at the job agency and the courts know what happened, and this is a way for you both to work your way to the top."
"I'll bet," Ian couldn't help but grumble, wincing slightly in pain from Antoine's magic that hummed inside him.
"Watch yourself, Levine," Ebony warned. "You know that Deveraux's not going to be playing around with you or Patrick."
"Don't remind us," Ian said as the pain subsided before taking the trash out. I gotta get myself under control, he thought to himself. You're bound to do whatever the Deveraux clan and your family and friends tell you. One false move, and the curse is going to get more worse.
Once he finished taking out the trash, he was soon back inside where more customers were soon arriving. Biting back a groan, he braced himself for what was going to be a very long workday.

"Hey, guys," Tremaine breathed as he breezed inside the smoothie cafe where he found his two young neophytes waiting for him. "Sorry that I'm late. Classes at UCLA are in full swing, and I'm starting to get swamped with the first waves of papers to write and homework assignments to complete."
"All good, Chico," Ebony replied, greeting Asha's cousin with air kisses before Asha herself hugged him. "Anyway, Ian and Patrick are starting to understand how it's like to not be influencers."
Tremaine turned to the young men, both of them looking as if they were through a wringer. "So I can tell," he mused. He snapped his fingers twice, making Ian and Patrick come out of their stupor. "How's it hanging?"
Ian stifled a yawn. "Shit," he mumbled. "I feel like I wanna sleep for a year and it's not even six in the evening."
"Welcome to the working-class, boys, where nothing is ever handed out to anyone for free," Asha remarked as she took off her apron. "I better get going. I got class myself tomorrow and a photoshoot as well."
"Same for me regarding school, but I got a dental appointment myself," Ebony piped up. To Ian and Patrick, "Make sure to Tremaine right, boys. We'll know if you haven't."
As soon as the girls took off, Tremaine sat in front of the two men. "So, today's mainly going to be just a free day to get whatever's on your mind out," he intoned. "Since your coming-our parties, you two have been through a lot lately with getting officially registered into the system and all that. But you also had to start understanding that your new lives are now real."
Ian let out a deep breath. "The more that I saw myself in the mirror, the more that I slowly realized that I wasn't the model-worthy bombshell that I was known for," he admitted. "Part of me was hoping to wake up and hope that it was all a bad dream. But it's not a dream. It's real life."
"Too real, if you ask me," Patrick remarked. "I was in the shower this morning and was staring down at my...well-endowed member between my legs. It was like the part that I was known to embrace was now replaced with something alien."
Tremaine smiled wanly. "That's because your 'manhood' is having its usual morning-time stiffness. It's natural for a guy to have it."
Patrick stiffened. "Well, it's still a bit much," he said petulantly.
"You may not like it, but it's part of the life of a man." Tremaine sat up. "Anyway, what else have you both noticed about yourselves these days?"
Ian looked around. "Well, I was walking with Victor early this morning when I saw two other male guys passing us," he began. "And I couldn't help it, but I looked back as the younger guy did the same. I swore for the life of me that he was winking at me."
"He was likely giving you 'the look,' Ian," Patrick commented.
"What look?"
Patrick stared at his cohort as if Ian was in remedial school. "He was trying to see if you were interested in him as much as he was interested in you," he explained. "Even when I was a woman, I often noticed it at times. It's kind of a signal for a possible hook-up or maybe a flirtatious invite."
Ian nodded, feeling his cheeks heat up. "That explains the semi-boner that I had when it was time to shower and get ready for work," he commented.
Tremaine smirked. "Did you...relieve yourself?" he asked.
Ian inhaled sharply. "No, and I'm not sure if I wanna even try it," he replied, keeping his voice even yet he was feeling a bit mortified. "What if either Joseph or Victor walked in?"
"Ian, I'm pretty sure that they would've understood," Patrick commented. "But you might wanna lock the door when you decide to actually...let the gusher explode."
Ian put his head on the table. "Thanks for the advice," he mumbled.
"All right, you two, it's time for you to head back to work," the owner said as she joined them. "You can talk shop about your private lives later."
"And with that, it's time for me to leave," Tremaine said as he got up. "But don't be afraid to embrace your manhood, you two. Sometimes, a little 'guy time' can do you some great relief."
Ian and Patrick watched him leave. "You never know what's going to come out of his mouth," the latter said as the first wave of customers for the late-afternoon rush began to arrive. "Then again, he does have sound advice."
"A little much for my blood, but yeah," Ian agreed. "Come on, bro. Time to dive back into the trenches."
Folks, this was a bit of a surprise to write, but I felt like it had to be written. Anyway, Ian and Patrick have themselves a sleepover in the next chapter and they...well, let's just say that a little experiment gets sexual and they end up going all the way! Don't miss out!
