Chapter 10

"You look beautiful as ever," Taehyung praised as he looked Seokjin over. The doctor smiled and sat down at the table, biting his lip slightly. "I ordered for you, I hope you don't mind."

"That's perfectly fine," Seokjin reassured. "I'm so sorry for being late. We had a little emergency at the hospital today."

"Everyone okay?" Taehyung asked with concern.

"One of my patients got really scared about having his tonsils taken out," the older man explained. "It took an hour to calm him down and reassure him that he'd be okay. Plus once I mentioned that he'd get ice cream afterward, he calmed down much faster." He gazed at the plate of sushi in front of him and smiled. "Aw, Taehyung, you remembered what I like."

"Of course," the blonde said with a smile. "You used to tell Taengie that if he ever forgets what your favorite foods are, you'd leave him for a world-class chef." Seokjin laughed at that, his squeaky laugh that always made you smile.

"And he said if I left him, he'd build a robot in my image and date that," the doctor said as he hummed, at the same time. He's heart tug because Taengie leaves him first.

"Hey! " SeokJin flinched as Taehyung tap his shoulder.

"I'm glad we could get together for this," Taehyung said, reaching over and putting his hand on Seokjin's hand tighten its grip. "I missed seeing you a lot, Jin." Seokjin almost pulled his hand away, but stopped himself and smiled. Taehyung was a dear friend, a brother, hand holding wasn't that big of a deal.

"Seokjin?"

Both of them perked up and looked over, seeing Jungkook as he came over. He had a tray of food for himself and smiled at them.

"Hi," he said softly.

"Oh, hey," Seokjin said, pulling his hand away from Taehyung's to wave. "Small world."

"Yeah, I thought I'd try this place, I've had a real craving for different food lately," Jungkook said as he let out a breath.

"You wanna join us?" Seokjin suggested. Taehyung let out a soft huff at that but forced a smile. Jungkook nodded and grabbed a chair from the table next to them before he sat down next to the doctor. He set his food down and started eating happily. Seokjin perked up a little.

"What?" Taehyung said, seeing the older man's look.

"He eats what Taengie liked to eat here," Seokjin said softly. "What a...happy coincidence."

"Want some?" Jungkook offered, holding up some sushi. Seokjin bit his lip before he opened his mouth and let the raven-haired male feed him. He giggled as he ate. Taehyung felt his jealousy rise up inside him.

What the actual fuck? It was like having to sit there and watch his brother with Seokjin again. Ugh. It should be him feeling the doctor, not this brat.

"Hyung, try mine," the blonde said, holding up a piece.

"Oh, Tae, you always order stuff with too much curry in it," Seokjin said, shaking his head. "You know I don't like curry that much."

"I don't either," Jungkook said, perking up.

"And I love food that's not good for me," the doctor added in, gazing at Jungkook.

"Me too," the youngest male said with a grin. "Wow, we have so much in common."

"You know, I like unhealthy food too-" Taehyung started to say.

"And I really love going for walks on those perfect snowy days where the snowflakes flutter around everything and get stuck to eyelashes," Jungkook said quickly.

"Oh, my gosh, I love those days!" Seokjin exclaimed. "Taengie and I used to do that all the time. And when it was too cold, we'd stay inside and cuddle while drinking cocoa."

"I could-" Taehyung tried to put his opinion in too.

"I love doing that," Jungkook said, completely ignoring Taehyung. "I do that during thunderstorms too." Taehyung let out a harsh huff.

"Hey," he snapped. Both Seokjin and Jungkook turned and gazed at him with concern.

"Yes, Tae?" Seokjin said, blinking a few times. "What's wrong?"

"N-nothing," Taehyung said, trying to calm himself down. "I'm just thinking about how we could do things like that too. I like getting to spend time with you."

"Aw, you're sweet," the doctor said with a hum. "But we're both so busy. It would be hard to make time for all that stuff. Taengie had a lot of free time, remember?"

"I work at the bar," Jungkook pointed out. "And it's only part-time."

"Like that, you have so much time on your hands," Seokjin said, paying attention to Jungkook again.

"Especially since I don't have to be in the hospital all the time anymore," Jungkook said proudly. "We could spend time together. I heard it was going to storm tomorrow. You could come over and we could just sit on the couch and talk while we have cocoa."

"I am supposed to take the day off," Seokjin said, thinking about it. "I'd love to do that, Jungkook."

"But I thought we'd have lunch tomorrow," Taehyung said, frowning a little.

"We can have lunch the day after," Seokjin reassured. Taehyung glared at Jungkook, but the young male didn't notice because he was too busy finding out what he shared with Seokjin.

Great...another person here to take Seokjin's attention. Another person who didn't deserve him.

"You know, when I was with Taengie, we were walking on the beach one night, and we went skinny-dipping," Seokjin admitted as he sipped some of his drink.

"Weren't you cold?" Jungkook asked as he laughed a little.

"Freezing," Seokjin admitted. "But Taengie just held me close and kept me as warm as he could."

"You could have gotten sick," Taehyung said, stabbing a chopstick into a piece of sushi before he ate it. "And you don't swim that well either."

"Taengie was there for me, I was fine," Seokjin pointed out. He frowned as he gazed at Taehyung. The blonde had pointed out something that could have gone wrong for every little thing Seokjin told Jungkook. What was his deal?

"You know, I couldn't do much before the cause of my heart, but now I would love to do crazy things that I missed out on," Jungkook admitted. "I'd go skinny-dipping with you." Seokjin blushed at that and giggled.

"During a full moon so we have light," he said with a shy smile. "I know the perfect place." Taehyung blinked at that.

Were they...really gonna make plans like that? What the fuck? What the fucking fuck?

"Oh, and drunk karaoke," Seokjin added. "I loved doing that with Taengie. He was always such an affectionate little drunk."

"I'm the same way," Jungkook said as he adjusted in his seat. "Jimin says I hang on him when I drink."

"Aw," Seokjin said, ruffling his raven hair gently. Jungkook smiled widely. His heart was going a million miles an hour. Normally, that was bad, but it felt so good this time. He felt like he'd known Seokjin for years. He felt like he was pretty much head over heels for him. He...loved him. He really loved him.

Taehyung tilted his head when he saw the look Jungkook had. That...that was how Taengie used to look at Seokjin. No. He wouldn't deal with this again. He wouldn't let someone take Seokjin away again.

"Oh, gosh, we've been here for three hours," Seokjin said, checking the time. "We should probably get going."

"I'll pay," Taehyung said, digging out his wallet.

"Don't pay for me," Jungkook insisted quickly, getting out his own money.

"Stop, both of you, let me," Seokjin said, getting up. "I'll be right back."

"I'll drive you home," Taehyung offered.

"Oh, that's okay, Taehyung, I can drive myself," Seokjin said, waving it off.

"Could I get a ride? My brother dropped me off," Jungkook admitted.

"Sure, just give me a minute to pay for dinner," Seokjin said before he headed over to the counter.

"Listen here, I don't know what you think you're doing, but he's not available," Taehyung said, gazing at Jungkook with serious eyes.

"Oh? Did he meet someone?" Jungkook asked, tilting his head.

"No, but he's not single either, the man had to watch his fiancé, my brother die," Taehyung said firmly. "He's not ready to date anyone."

"O-oh..." Jungkook said, frowning at that. "But I can still be friends with him."

"I wouldn't, he might get the wrong idea," Taehyung said as he stood up. He huffed and headed off. Jungkook frowned more. Seokjin came back and let out a breath.

"Did he leave?" he asked curiously.

"Yeah," Jungkook said, nodding slightly.

"Oh, well, he probably had something to do," Seokjin said, shrugging. "Come on, you. Let's get you home."

Then they saw a familiar figure.

"Is that your brother?"

"Yes!"

"Then who's with him? " They notice a man wearing all black, trying to drag Jimin.

"My brother is in danger!"
