Libra walked into the classroom singing. She was only one there.

"Im a cruel women"! Libra sang. She walked over to one of the desk and started doing her nails.

Suddenly she heard a scream.

"What? What was that sound"? Libra asked. She walked over to the window. Students were screaming.

"It's over here"! The students were running to the scene frantically. Libra gasped.

"No way. Isn't that choon-hee"? Libra asked.

"What should we do"? The female students asked. One of the male students looked up to see libra peering over the window.

"Hey...catch libra! She the one who pushed her"! The male student said without evidence to back up his confession.

"What"? Libra asked.

"Hurry call the police"! He told one of the female students.

"I'll do it"! The female students said dialing on her cell phone. Libra backed away from the window.

"What? What is going on"?

Pisces was drinking water while his two judges were going thourgh papers. One of them sighed in annoyance.

"I guess it's really the recession in the legal profession these days. The fierce competition for public defender puts K-pop stars to shame". The other judge responded in agreement.

"That's what I'm saying". He looked at Pisces.

"What about this person"? Pisces grabbed the sheet.

"Oh, the lawyer who was expelled from school because of the fireworks incident?" Pisces Said. The juged looked over.

"Although her situation was like that, she really wasn't right". The judge said.

"Why"? Pisces asked.

"Apparently she already had some experience as a public defender. But she has a horrible reputation. Her nickname is '20 seconds'. She merely makes her statement, saying that the defendant deeply regrets his actions and we ask for a favorable disposition. It only takes 20 seconds". The judge explained.

"It's a no from me". The judge said holding his arm up in an x position.

Flashback

"The defendant who lost her mother at and early age, she lives a lonely and hard life-" the defendant cut Aquarius off.

"That's not quiet it, she passed away last year". Aquarius sighed.

"The defendant who recently lost her mother is suffering."

End of flashback

"Yet, listening to her story, she seemed like quiet good material". The other judge responded.

"Her story was quite touching and she showed courage. I see that she has some potential".

Flashback

Aquarius barged into the court room. Sagittarius was crying he then looked at her. She looked at him. She stepped forward.

"I...am a witness for this case. My name is Aquarius."

End of flashback

"What's your thought"? The judged asked Pisces. Pisces rubbed his chin.

"I don't know...she seems like both a good and bad lawyer. Its hard to choose".

~one month later~

Aquarius looked at the news paper. She saw her picture next to Leo's. Two new lawyers was the heading. Aquarius smiled. She looled up and her eyes widened. She saw a banner with her face on it near her mom's shop. It read; Aquarius chicken house only daughter Aquarius beats 21:1 competition and becomes a public defender. Aquarius sighed in embarrassment.

"Aish!" She ran to the posters and and started ripping them off the wall.

"My mom always drives me crazy". Aquarius got hit in the head. Sje turned around and saw cancer standing behind with a straight face.

"I told you not to hit my head". Aquarius said calmly. She then fully faced her mom.

"What is this?! What's there to brag about becoming a public defender for you to put up these things?" Aquarius whined.

"Of course it's something to brag about". Cancer said.

"You're a lawyer being paid a salary by the country." Cancer started to hang more posters including the spot that Aquarius previously stripped.

"You're on the same level as prosecutors and judges". Cancer said. Don't complain and just come with me". Cancer said.

"Where are you going"? Aquarius asked.

"Just come".

Aquarius was forced to help her mother hang posters of herself.

"Look here, look here. Take a look at my daughter. Her smile is pretty." Cancer sang.

"Songs just come out of you because you're thinking of the money you will get paid back." Aquarius said.

"It's not because of the money". Cancer said.

"It's because you became a public defender in one try."

"Really? Can I not pay you back then?" Aquarius asked. Cancer hit her head.

"Mom! I told you not to hit my head! Do you know how old I am"? Aquarius said.

"You are a public defender now. You have such a hard difficult road ahead of you. Isn't it about time you come to your senses?" Cancer said.

"If being a public defender was a long and difficult road why would I do it? Im doing it because it's a comfortable road". Aquarius said.

"What did you say"? Cancer asked getting a little pissed. Aquarius tilted her head.

"I get monthly wage and...the government will take care of my income. The government assigns cases for me to work on. It's totally a comfortable and easy job". Aquarius said cocky.

"I'm just going to get my monthly wages for a few years and then get married." Cancer hit Aquarius on the head.

"Stop hitting me"! Aquarius whined.

"Just try doing your job like that. It will be the first time in Korean history that a lawyer gets beaten by her mother." Cancer said.

"Do you understand"? Cancer asked. Cancer continued to hang posters.

"Stop putting them up. Becoming a public defender isn't something to brag about". Aquarius said.

"Did you find a room". Cancer asked.

"I found somewhere close to court. It's a rooftop but it has two rooms and a bathroom." Aquarius said.

"That's good. But why does it have to be yeonju city? It's too far." Cancer complained.

"But before you said I'll be lucky even if I get assigned to some country village". Aquarius said.

"Do you have any close colleagues from the training institute at yeonju court? What about your seniors?" Cancer asked.

"Did you see me have anything lile that before"? Aquarius asked.

"Also, I don't need it". Aquarius said. Cancer hit her head.

"MOM,PLEASE"! Aquarius screamed.

Yeonju court's procescuter's office

"Tell me"! The prosecutor yelled at libra.

"It was you that pushed her". Libra rolled her eyes and smacked on her gum. She turned in the chair. The prosecutor sighed on frustration.

"If you are going to confess anyways just confess to me. Im the most courteous in this field. If you go somewhere else they will get every single this out of you". The prosecutor said than sipped on his tea.

"You pushed choon-hee right"? Libra shook her head.

"You were jealous that choon-hee got casted by an entertainment agency. You ostracized her by saying she got plastic surgery and then started calling her double nose. But that wasn't enough so you tried to kill choon-hee by pushing her from the fourth floor. The people saw you and ratted you out. That's a fact"! The prosecutor yelled.

"You love facts! You bitch"! Libra snapped.

"I didn't even know she was in the music room." Libra sighed in annoyance.

"Jesus! I know my grades are pretty fucked up, but that doesn't mean I'm like that, too". Libra said.

"Hey! You think playing innocent will work?" The prosecutor asked rudely.

"Look, all your friends wrote these statements"! The prosecutor saud pulling out his file. Libra grabbed them about to crumple them. Scorpio came over to control the situation.

"Here, section cheif. From now on, I'll take over". Libra glared.

"Who are you"?

"Procecuter Scorpio, you're going to interrogate her yourself"! The prosecutor asked.

"Yes". Scorpio slipped him something.

"Take this too". Scorpio said.

"It's okay. I don't really like peppermint candy". The prosecutor said.

"Still, have some...so that you can get rid of the smell of eastern medicine". Scorpio said pointing to her mouth.

"It should be manners, section cheif yang". Scorpio said smiling. Libra began laughing her ass off.

"Section cheif yang!? (In Korean, his name is pronounced simliar to the word "poultry farm"). "That's you!? That's what they call you!?" Libra couldn't stop laughing.

"Shut up"! The prosecutor yelled blushing in embarrassment. Libra continued to laugh. Scorpio looked down at her.

"You said you were libra? Will you come this way"? Scorpio asked. Libra glared at yang and followed Scorpio. She slammed her hands down.

"Omo! Your nails are amazing"! Scorpio said.

"I did them myself. Would you like me to do yours too, prosecutor"? Libra asked. Scorpio smiled. Libra looked back at yang and stuck her tounge out. Another prosecutor walked in.

"The sandwiches have arrived"! She said cheerfully.

"So, you didn't know choon-hee was in the music room"? Scorpio asked.

"You're making me repeat myself." Libra complained.

"Think about it. That was the fourth floor, so would I have pushed her without having to decide to kill her?" Libra asked.

"That's what it seems like. If that's the case, then it's attempted murder, you don't look like a murderer." Scorpio explained. Libra smiled gratefully.

"Drink this while you eat. Otherwise you might get something stuck in your throat." Scorpio said. Libra drank the coffee.

"Then, you have never ostracized her either, right"? Scorpio asked.

"Yes, absolutely never". Libra said.

"The harshest thing I've ever done was call her double nose. Even that, since everyone was calling her that, I called her that just for a laugh." Libra said.

"If you call her 'double (eyelid)-nose' does everyone laugh"? Scorpio asked. Libra laughed.

"They laugh, of course! From the nickname, it's totally obvious, isn't it? Because the person did double eyelids and nose surgery. 'Double nose'." Scorpio laughed.

"I agree, it's pretty obvious. Did choon-hee ever laugh too after hearing you call her 'Double nose'?" Scorpio asked.

"Sorry"? Libra asked.

"You said it was a joke. A joke is not for the person saying it, but the one receiving it, isn't that so"? Scorpio asked.

"If she hadn't agreed to it, then it wasn't a joke, but terror". Scorpio explained.

"Terror"? Libra asked.

"She's starting..." prosecutor yang said laughing.

"I said it so you can laugh, but you're not laughing. Why is that?" Scorpio asked. Libra was silent.

"Oh...it must be terror." Libra was terrified. Scorpio smirked.

"Then, I shouldn't be joking either". Scorpio said wiping her hands. She looked at libra.

"Right"? Libra gripped her sandwich.

"Shall we start? It's Libra, right? You are being investigated for the attempted murder of choon-hee. You know that, right? You have the right to remain silent. You can hire a lawyer". Libra started crying.

Students were looking at the newspaper.

"Wow! So libra really is the criminal".

"Hey, wait"! One of the students grabbed Sagittarius's headphones ripping them off his head. Sagittarius looked at him.

"Hey, this isn't the time to be studying! If you see this, you're going to be surprised"! The student said.

"I probably won't be". Sagittarius said.

"You know libra, right? The pink haired girl who likes you and follows you around". The student said.

"I don't know. I don't care." Sagittarius said.

"Hey! Just look, then talk". The student said slaming the paper down in front of him. Sagittarius looked at him annoyed. He read the news paper. His eyes widened.

Attorneys selected for yeon joo district public defender.

"This doesn't make any sense". Sagittarius said. He saw Aquarius's picture.

"See! I told you you'd be surprised". The student said. Sagittarius smiled.

"Hey! Hey!" He grabbed the student in a tight embrace.

"THANKS"! Sagittarius screamed.

"Hey, I'm going to go first, okay? Sagittarius said. Sagittarius ran out of the classroom.

"Hey where are you going"? The student yelled.

"Is he being thankful that Libra got caught"? Aries asked confused.

"What did I do well"? The student asked also confused. Sagittarius ran across the soccer feild. He made it off campus. A motorcycle was about to run him over. Sagittarius dodged it falling on his butt.

"Hey"! The guy yelled.

"Im sorry, sorry". Sagittarius said. He ran off but ran back and kissed the guy's helmet.

"Sorry".

"Hey why are you kissing my helmet"! Sagittarius made it to an intersection but the light changed and Sagittarius stopped moving his feet anxiously. He finally made it.

"She hasn't changed a bit". He said.

Yeon joo detention center

The prisoners were doing stuff on their cells such as reading or playing board games.

"Capricorn, you're getting put next week, right"? One of the prisoners asked.

"Have you found work to do after you get out"? Capricorn smiled.

"Yes. Reverend Ah Leum said he would find a job for me." Capricorn said smirking.

"Good for you". The prisoner said.

"The road to success really does exist in the bible." The prisoners said. Capricorn laughed.

"Should I start reading the bible too"? He picked the bible up. He flipped through the bible but something fell out.

"What's this"? He picked it up and saw two pictures of the 2 new public defenders.

"Is it someone you know"? He asked Capricorn.

"Yeah. It's somebody to whom I have debt to repay". Capricorn said and started laughing while staring at Aquarius's picture.

Aquarius shot up im her bed. She let out a heavy sigh.

"What bad luck...dreaming about that guy on the first day of work"? Aquarius said to herself. She lazily rolled out of bed. She brushes her teeth and tried on different outfits. She finally decided on one and she applied some makeup and finally finished with perfume.

She walked out of her house with her lawyer badge pinned to her collar. Aquarius's house was a mess. Dishes pilled the sink and clothes littered her room.

She made it to an intersection and someone tapped her on the shoulder. She looked behind her and came face to face with leo. He was wearing a goofy grin.

"I was calling you, but you just kept walking. I followed you from the bus." Aquarius roll her eyes and walked forward and Leo grabbed her arm.

"Wait". Aquarius looked at his hand and brushed it off. She looked at him.

"You're not my type, okay?" Leo reached into his bag and pulled out a money purse that looked like it belonged to a women.

"This is your purse, isn't it. It fell out on the bus"? Leo said holding it out to her. Aquarius blushed in embarrassment but decided to play it cool.

"It's not mine". Leo looked at her confused.

"What"? Aquarius grabbed it.

"But I'll find the owner for you. Okay?" She started walking away. Leo followed after her.

"What are you talking about? The social security card inside the wallet is yours". Leo said.

"ah! You're acting like that because you're embarrassed". Leo said. They were walking inside then prosecutor building.

"Do you not remember me? My name is leo. We met each other once." Leo explained.

"I have no clue". Aquarius said.

"We met each other at the public defender interviews. You even grabbed my collar, in order to get some anticipated questions. Don't you remember?" Leo asked.

"I don't remember". Aquarius said.

"I only saw you briefly last time so I didn't realize. But...now that I look at you, you're really a beauty". Leo said. Everyone looked at her for a breif second. Aquarius shifted uncomfortably.

"You often hear that you look like someone, right? Who is it? A foreign actress, with big bright eyes. Ah. Right, right, jolie, jolie. You often hear that you look like Angelina jolie, right?" Leo asked. Everyone looked at her. She shot leo a glare.

"Lower your voice". The elevator opened. Everyone got on.

"Why, it's a compliment". Leo said. "It means you're pretty". Leo said smiling.

"By the way, Aquarius...or should I call you lawyer Aquarius?" Aquarius was getting annoyed.

"Nevermind. That sounds wrong and gives the wrong connotation". Leo explained.

"Lawyer perfect seems better. Lawyer perfect! How does it sound?" (Perfect = jiang in Korean). Aquarius was getting really annoyed.

"I think your dream, as with me, is to be a public defender, but you're denying it because you're embarrassed, right? I knew it when you reacted that way about the wallet." Leo bumped her.

"You're the type that attacks when, in reality, you're just shy. I think I know why you applied for yeon joo procescuter office." He leaned closer to Aquarius.

"Should I ventured a guess"? He asked. He laughed sheepishly.

"It's because of lawyer Taurus, right"? The elevator opened and leo and Aquarius exited.

"I came here because of lawyer Taurus too. He has 40 years of experience as a public defender. He been my role model my entire life. Same for you, right?" Leo asked. Aquarius stopped walking and turned around.

"No! No, NO!" Leo stepped back.

"You said your name was leo, right? I don't resemble jolie at all. I wouldn't have dreamed that we would be placed in the same office, either. I hate being called lawyer perfect. I did not come here for lawyer Taurus. A lawyer, who has dentures and goes to court using a hearing aid, can't possibly be my role model. Okay?" Aquarius said. Leo and Aquarius both turned a saw a set of teeth on the floor. A guy picked it up, washed it, and handed it to the old man who put it in his mouth.

"Are you by chance, laywer Taurus"? Leo asked. The man nodded.

"My sincerest apologies, I didn't recognize you quickly." Leo bowed.

"Hurry up and apologize". Leo whispered to Aquarius.

"For what"? Aquarius asked.

"It's fine. Is there something to apologize for when all she did was say the truth? Are you the new public defenders?" Taurus asked.

"Yes. Im lawyer Leo and this is lawyer Aquarius". Leo said. Taurus nodded.

"This is clerk gemini. Say hello". Taurus said patting the mid section of Gemini's back.

"Nice to meet you". Gemini slightly bowed.

"Nice to meet you too. Please take good care of us". Leo said bowing and taking Gemini's hand.

"Me too". Aquarius said bluntly.

"Let's go now. I'll treat you guys to coffee as a welcoming gift." Taurus said.

"Thank you"! Leo said bowing. Aquarius rolled her eyes. Leo looked at her.

"What are you doing lawyer aqua. Let's go!" Leo said with a goofy grin then ran off. Gemini walked up beside Aquarius and spoke.

"Lawyer Taurus holds grudges for a very long time. It would be best for you to apologize quickly." Gemini walked off. Aquarius rolled her eyes.

"What can he do? Is he going to single me out or something"? Aquarius asked herself. It seemed that Aquarius's prediction was right because that's excatly what Taurus did.

Everyone had big coffe cups whuoe Aquarius got a small cup of coffee. Taurus smirked and Aquarius rolled her eyes. Aquarius took out a file and began to flip through pages. She was about to lick her thumb when taurus started talking to leo really loudly purposely so Aquarius could hear.

"If you wear this, you won't have to make a mess by licking your thumb". Taurus said handing leo a thumb cover. Leo smiled.

"Thank you, lawyer Taurus." Taurus smirked at Aquarius.

"Wow! It's really easy to flip!" Leo said. Aquarius went ahead and licked her thumb. The phone rang and Gemini answer it.

"Tell him it the office way at the end. Yes, I'm coming out now." Gemini said and hung up. Leo walked over to his desk looked for a file a pulled one out.

"My first client was charged with destruction of public property and threatening a public officer with weapons...and she's deaf". Leo closed the file. Gemini opened the door for the old lady.

"Please come in". Gemini said. Leo smiled.

"Welcome". He said out loud and in sign language. The lady smiled.

"You know sign language too"? Taurus asked. "I learned because I thought it might be useful for a public defender. Im also learning to read braille, too". Leo said. Taurus nodded and scowled at Aquarius. Aquarius sighed.

"This way". Leo said to the lady. A girl with pink hair then walked it. Gemini walked over to her.

"Wait a moment please." Gemini walked over to Aquarius.

"Lawyer Aquarius, Your defendant has arrived too. Should I let her in now"? Aquarius looked up.

"Yes". Gemini walked over to the girl.

"This way please." She nodded. She walked over to Aquarius.

"Um..." Aquarius looked up.

"My name is Libra". Aquarius looked at her.

Sagittarius was stuffing things in his locker. He looked at the mirror next to him. He atarted fixing himself.

"Hi, I'm Sagittarius. Remember me? Nah. Maybe she doesn't remember me." Sagittarius smiled slightly.

"Long time no see. I'm Sagittarius. That's too ordinary. I missed you Aquarius. Woah that was way to corny! Long time no see noona. That's too weird". Sagittarius whined. Aries and his friends were watching him.

"What's he doing"? Aries's friend asked.

"He's going crazy, duh." Aries said.

"What should I say"? Sagittarius asked himself.

"I'm not the culprit"! Libra whined. Aquarius checked out libra's outfit and nails.

"I've heard that everyone who comes here says that. But you see, there's too much evidence to just insist (you're not guilty). On top of that, I heard you lied, about being innocent, to the procescuter. That's probably why you're charged with attempted murder". Aquarius said.

"That makes no sense. Attempted murder"? Libra whined.

"Why doesn't it make sense? The friend that you've always disliked was just sitting alone by the Window. There wasn't anyone eles in the music room. When you were about to yell at her...you got mad, so you pushed her. She didn't die. She's in a coma. If she dies from this, you're a murderer. Since she's still alive, it's just attempted murder". Aquarius explained.

"This is making me crazy! Ajumma-" Aquarius looked at her offened. "No...unni, I admit that I have bullied kids here and there, cursing and taking some money. But I have me limits. I'd never go this far! Attempted murder? Im telling you truly it's not me!" Libra wailed.

"There are people who saw you push her". Aquarius said bluntly.

"**** all the kids are lying! To pay back for all the times I've caused them trouble." Libra whined. Aquarius slammed the file closed.

"Im defending you without asking a penny from you. With your attitude, I can't defend you. Do you want to go to court alone with a lawyer?" Aquarius asked. Leo walked out of the room with his client. She started speaking in sign langue.

But what of the judge doesn't belive me either? Leo responded back in sign language and out loud.

"Don't worry. Sincerity will win in court. I will win for you". The client hugged him.

I really belive in you.

"Please go home safely". Libra stared at them. Aquarius knocked on the table to get libra's attention.

"This much evidence is enough to find you guilty. If you argue that you're innocent and you are found guilty. Your sentence will increase. Just clearly admit it and reflect upon your mistake. Then I can do a good job presenting your case as a negligent homicide. Then you probably won't  have to go to jail." Aquarius said

"What's it going to be? Continue with your innocent plea or plead guilty [to a lesser charge] and reflect on it?" Aquarius asked. Libra began to cry.

"I'm telling you I truly didn't push her! I didn't even know she was in the music room! Ah ah...I'm not the criminal! I'm really not"! Libra whined. Leo stood up feeling bad for her but kept silent.

"Do you want to keep saying that to the end? While your friends are eating pizza and having fun, do you really want to be in jail eating rice and beans by yourself". Aquarius said.

"Lawyer perfect, instead of coercing her, per this friend's story-" aquarius cut Leo off.

"She is my defendant". Aquarius said.

"I know interrupting is presumptuous, but-" aquarius cut him off again.

"IF YOU KNOW, THEN STAY OUT OF IT!" Aquarius yelled pissed.

"We're colleagues. Don't you think we can talk about it"?

"No, I don't think so".

"Why? We all work in the same place, so we are a team." Taurus looked at them arguing.

"No, we are not." Leo was frozen with shock.

"Decide, innocent or guilty? But I won't take any responsibility for the result." Libra stood up.

"RIGHT! I ADMIT IT! HAPPY? *****"! Libra sat back down a wailed. Gemini slowly walked over with a tissue box and placed it on the desk next to libra and patted her back awkwardly.

                       ************
"Isn't lawyer aquarius going home"? Taurus asked.

"She said she'll after she's finished her work." Gemini said.

"Ahh..." Taurus nodded in understanding. Leo grabbed his arm.

"Lawyer Taurus, what I said to lawyer aquarius was all correct, right"?

"Of course".

"Law firms aren't the only ones who can have teams. We can form a team, too."

"Right".

"Prosecutors have a well structured hierarchy in their office. If we want to go against them, then we need to go together as a team". Leo explained.

"Of course"! Taurus said proudly.

"And even when everyone in the world wouldn't believe the defendant, shouldn't the lawyer believe in the defendant?" Taurus and Gemini stared at him lost. Leo seemed to notice this.

"Uh...did I say something wrong?" Taurus covered it up by saying the elevator is here. They all walked in.

"Laywer Taurus, do you not believe in your defendants?" Leo asked.

"I try to believe in them as best as I can. But, once in a while believing in your defendant can become an obstacle". Taurus explained.

"Ehh...what are you saying? You have to believe in your defendant, in order to be a lawyer. I believe in my defendant 100%." Leo said

"But if later it's found that their lying, it will become more unfavorable for the defendant". Gemini said.

"All my defendants won't lie. If I just look at them, I know". Leo said.

"Oh...you look and you know"? Taurus asked.

"I'm so jealous of that, really? I'm my 40 year of working, I still don't know". Taurus said.

"40 years..." leo trailed off.

Aquarius was typing on her computer.

The defendant admits her actions and pleads guilty. Aquarius thought back to the interrogation.

Flashback

"I really didn't push her. I didn't even know she was in the music room. I'm not the culprit. Really!"

End of flashback

Aquarius realized she was in the same position several years ago.

Flashback

"It's not me! It really wasn't! Even though I hate scorpio, it's not to that extent! I know I have a bad character, but it's not to that point, really. I'm not that horrible!"

End of flashback

Aquarius closed her eyes and sighed.

"I hate this feeling". She sighed.

"Forget it".

Sagittarius waited outside the lawyer office and was reading his phone. He read it out loud.

"Only 1% of lawyers in the national become public defenders. They defend the poor, juveniles, handicapped people, and people who have a hard time getting a lawyer. Guardians of human rights who work not for money, but for justice." Sagittarius smiled.

Flashback

Aquarius opened the courtroom.

"According to the dictates of my conscience, I will not hide any truth and tell the whole truth. If I lie, I will be punished for perjury, I swear."

End of flashback

Sagittarius laughed. "She really picked out a job that suits her". Sagittarius saw her and smiled but faded when aquarius kept going around and around in the revolting doors. Sagittarius red her eyes.

My head is going to burst. Let's just forget about it quickly. Just forget it, aquarius. Sagittarius watched her walk by. He quietly followed her. They got on the bus. The bus moved and aquarius stumbled but sagittarius grabbed her shoulders.

"Thank you". She said. The bus stopped and she got and sagittarius followed her. Aquarius made it close to her house. She turned around and hid. Sagittarius read her eyes.

It's too dark. Can't they fix the street lamps? I'll take a detour. I'll just think of it as exercising.

Aquarius walked back up. Sagittarius looked down the dark street. As aquarius was walking up the hill she saw the landlord.

"You're that girl that recently moved here. How is it? Do you like it"? She asked.

"Is that possible? Can you see the cards when it's this dark"? Aquarius asked. The lady laughed.

"Even when it's dark, I can always see my money and playing cards."

"When are they going to fix the street lamps"? Aquarius asked.

"I don't know. I called the district office". The lady said.

"They said to call the building department of the district office". She explained. Aquarius walked away.

"Anyway, they said they'll fix it soon." Aquarius walked up the steps of her apartment.

Sagittarius stared up at the house smiling. Aquarius was getting ready for bed when her phone started ringing. She answered it.

"It's me". Cancer said.

"Yeah, mom."

"Did anything happen today"? Cancer asked.

"No...nothing much happened". Aquarius said quite bored.

"You said there are three men in your office. Are any of the men there good to date." Cancer asked.

"None. Absolutely none. Total shit." Aquarius said.
"They're the worst people I can ever work with." Aquarius explained.

"Why? Do they treat you low because you're a woman?" Cancer asked.

"No. It's not like that...but they talk to much and make me tired". Aquarius complained.

"Why do you sound so tired? Did something happen?" Cancer asked worried.

"No. I'm fine". Aquarius said.

"But your voice never sounds like that. Should I come over tomorrow"? Cancer asked.

"I'm fine. It's just..." aquarius looked out the window.

"The street lamp is broken".

"Street lamp"?

"Yeah, street lamp. You know I hate the dark. That's why". Aquarius said.

The street finally lit up. Aquarius stood up.

"Huh, the street lamp finally lit up".

"is that so? They probably fixed it". Cancer said.

"No way. At this hour"? Aquarius said.

"Don't worry about it. Go and sleep well tonight. You have your first trial tomorrow." Cancer said.

"I got it. You sleep well too". Aquarius said.

"Okay. You better dream about dragons for luck". Cancer said and hung up.

Aquarius got up and opened her door. She looked over the balcony.

"There's no way the government is out working this late." She saw sagittarius walking away. Sagittarius turned around and smiled. Aquarius smiled.

"I guess the government workers are more dependable than I thought".

Sagittarius went to the subway station feeling super happy. He looked across and saw libra sitting on one of the benches with red puffy eyes.

"Libra"? He asked himself. He looked into her eyes and read her mind.

How could this happen? I didn't do anything wrong. Why wouldn't they listen to me? If it's attempted murder, I'll go to jail, right? In jail...should I just die? Friends...and the lawyers...there is no one in this world who believes me. What's the point of living? If I die, then, will they believe me? Will they regret not believing in me? Libra stood up from the bench. Sagittarius's eyes widened.

"Libra! Libra!" Libra looked over at him.

"Stay there. I'll come over." Would sagittarius believe me? No...he won't even know that I'm gone. Sagittarius didn't know what to do.

"Libra, don't you dare! Stay still!" Libra slowly walked to the train. Sagittarius ran up the stairs to get to the other side. Libra was inching closer. Sagittarius threw his bag on the ground to get up the stairs faster. Libra crossed the yellow line. Sagittarius reached the top of the stairs.

Libra was now on the edge. She closed her eyes with tears streaming down her cheeks. She jumped but to arms wrapped around her waist pulling her to the ground. The person picked her up and roughly turned her to look at them.

"You stupid girl! What are you doing?" Libra looked at them.

"Sagittarius...Sagittarius..." she bursted into tears and buried her face in his shoulder. Sagittarius sighed in relief.

They sat on the swing at a park. Sagittarius handed her a soda.

"Thanks..." libra said. Sagittarius took a sip from his soda.

"You...heard about me"? Libra asked.

"Yeah..." Sagittarius said.

"You also think that double nose. I mean, choon-hee. Do you think I pushed her"? Libra asked.

"No". Sagittarius looked into her eyes.

Liar. He just didn't want me to die.

"I really believe in you. You're not the criminal". Sagittarius said. "I'm so freaking thankful". Libra said about to cry.

"Have you met the defense attorney yet"? Sagittarius asked.

"Yeah. It would be nice...if the laywer believed in me like you do". Libra said.

"Who's the laywer"? Libra scoffed.

"Why? Are you going to beat them up for me?" She asked.

"If necessary, I might. Who is it"?

"Her name is Aquarius". Sagittarius looked surprised.

"Aqua...rius"?
"Yeah. She new at Yeon joo".

Sagittarius arrived home and walked in his room and sat in his chair in front of the computer. He spotted his diary next to a picture of him and his dad. He pulled out the newspaper clipping from his journal of aquarius.

Flashback

"Whatever I say, she doesn't believe me. She even tried to scare me by saying that I'll get a harsher sentence if I don't plead guilty. She's even scarier than the prosecutor.

"It's a misunderstanding. It's probably another person. She wouldn't do that".

Aquarius was walking into work when she saw Leo and Taurus. Taurus was fixing Leo's hair and asking him questions.

"What does judge moon like to hear the most?" Taurus asked.
"Your respectable honor". Leo answered.

"You're not a defendant so how should you act"?

"Confidently".

"You are a public defender. So how?"

"Accomplish everything well with humanity". Leo said.

"Ah! It's good. Good". Aquarius stared at them. "How creative they are to embarrass themselves..." Leo noticed her.

"Lawyer Aquarius"! He ran over to her.

"What"?

"Your case starts this afternoon, right"? Leo asked.

"You don't have much to do in the morning, right"? He asked.

"Yes". Aquarius said confused.

"Come to my case hearing then". Leo said excitedly.

"What for"? Aquarius asked.

"I'll show you...how strong a lawyer can be when he trusts his defendant". Leo ran back to Taurus.

"I'm going in"! Leo said.

"Fighting"! Taurus said. Aquarius sighed in annoyance.

"Your living with your mother who is over 80 years old"? Leo asked in sign language and out loud. The defendant nodded.

"To earn hospital fees for your mother, you tried to do everything, such as collecting recycled paper or manual labor." Leo asked in both sign language and out loud.

"That's right. However it's still not enough for my mother's medical bills. That's why with no choice, I had to touch that money because I wanted to live with my mother". The translator said while the defendant answered in sign language.

"Wait a minute, the defendants mother died 7 years ago." The judge said.
"That's not possible..." Leo said. He looked back at the defendant.

"Has your mother died"? He asked.

"Yes. However, she is still alive in my heart". The translator translated.

"In your heart..." Leo scratched the back of his head.

"When you were arrested, you were sexually harassed by the police officers. You no choice but to wave a knife, right"? Leo said waving his hands aggressively to communicate.

"I was so ashamed at that moment, but still I..."

"Wait a second." The judge interrupted.

"The police officers who arrested the defendant were all female." Leo looked at his defendant.

"The police officers where female"? Leo asked in sign language and out loud.

"Yes. Even though they were women, they were as strong as Male officers". Aquarius laughed and left the courtroom.

Leo sat outside. Aquarius walked up to Leo and smirked.

"I enjoyed watching the trial, lawyer leo." Leo glared.

"Thanks to you, I  learned alot. I learned how dark it is to blindly trust a defendant. I also saw how ineffective a lawyer without a strategy, who only believes in humanity, can be. Thank you." Aquarius looked at Taurus with a smirk and walked away.

"Dosen't she live her life in a really particular way? It'll be hard to live like that without being cursed at". Leo said.

"Her personality sucks". Taurus said.

"Right? Anyways, my defendant. It's such a pity. She lives on a basement room paying 200,000 won per month, but it's flooded due to rain. She's living in a vinyl green house. Why would such a person lie...?" Taurus stopped him.

"Do you think that if they're poor, they're all nice people? Do you think that if they're poor, they've all been wronged?" Taurus asked.

"Sorry".

"Ok, then, they're poor. What would you do if someone, who isn't aggravated, comes looking for you?" Taurus asked.

"Well...that is..." Taurus hit him.

"People who come looking for public defenders are those who take people's money and and life. It's never effective defending them and no one worth while defending criminals. Even if their criminals, we still have to be their lawyer. So how do you plan on defending their case?" Taurus asked. Leo scratched the back of his neck.

"I'm not really sure...

Sagittarius waited at the bus stop and watched the people come out. He checked his watch. He opened his phone and called libra.

"Libra, it's me. Sagittarius. You're on your way, right?"

"Yeah".

"Don't think of anything and come straight here. I will attend the trial with you."

"Thanks". Sagittarius looked behind him. He looked her up and down. She was wearing a school uniform and a black wig.

"Hey...are you really libra"? Libra looked at her naked nails.

"I'll try hard not to swear today." Sagittarius smiled.

"Let's go".

A girl in a prosecutor gown was walking out of her office. He black pencil heels made a loud click clack as she walked down the stairs.

"Scorpio are you going to trial now"? Her co-worker asked.

"Yes".

Everyone was waiting in front of the elevator. Aquarius stood behind Leo and Taurus. She smirked and tapped leo.

"I will be going into trial in a little bit. Do you have any words of advice"? Leo looked away.

"As if you'd have anything..." aquarius muttered smirking. The elevator opened and everyone entered. The bell began to ring because of to many people. Taurus looked at aquarius.

"Isn't it an unwritten rule that the last person to get in should get off?" Taurus started pushing her back. He pushed her out of the elevator. He started rapid and repeatedly pushed the close button. Aquarius was baffled.

"Lawyer Taurus"! She exclaimed. She sighed and went to push the button but she brushed against another hand. She looked at the person next to her. Her eyes widened and so did the other person's eyes.

"Aquarius, why are you here...?" Aquarius looked at her. Scorpio?

"What about you? Why are you here"? Aquarius looked at her gown.

"Are you a prosecutor"? Scorpio smiled nervously.

"I heard from yeon jin that you were a lawyer, but I didn't know I'd meet you here. Did you start from a law firm?" Scropio asked.

"No, I'm actually a public defender." Aquarius explained.

"Ah...public defender...if you do well, we might even meet each other in court." Scropio said.

"Okay, then. I hope we do." Sagittarius and libra walked in. She spotted aquarius.

"Lawyer Aquarius"! Libra ran over to her.

"We're not late, are we"? Libra asked. Libra looked over and noticed Scropio.

"Oh. You're here too, prosecutor.

"Aquarius, you're Libra's lawyer"? Scorpio asked.

"Don't tell me...you are the prosecutor for this case?"

Aquarius splashed her face with water. She checked the folder and it said the prosecutors name.

"Scropio...why didn't I see this coming?"

Flashback

"I saw it too...that aquarius aimed the fireworks at my eye."

"Hey. Are you mad? Are you not mad? I got expelled from school today. I didn't do anything, but I got kicked out of school."

"Okay. I didn't see it. I lied to break your lie."

"Go tell them. Become a witness. If you do, I'll tell you then you're not a liar".

Aquarius walked out of the bathroom and saw libra and Sagittarius.

"Libra, let's talk for a bit". She grabbed her arm. Sagittarius followed them. Aquarius stopped walking and looked at him. She sighed.

"Hey. Who is this that keeps sticking around like a piece of gum"?

"He's my friend". Libra said smiling. Aquarius looked at him.

"Look 'gum'. I'm not in a good mood, so stay here." She walked away with libra but Sagittarius followed close behind. She walked outside and handed libra a packet.

"Here. This is what I'll be asking you in court later. Read it throughly..." Libra opened it. Aquarius snatched it. "Never mind. You don't need to read. Just always answer 'yes', no matter what. For all circumstances. Okay"? Aquarius asked.

"No. I don't want to. I didn't push her. I want to say the truth.". Libra said stubbornly.

"No. That can't happen. You saw that prosecutor, right? If you're found guilty by that prosecutor, you're done for and I'm done for. If it goes wrong, you will be charged with attempted murder for lying in court and I'll be utterly humiliated. I cannot let that happen. So you're guilty, and you're reflecting upside your mistakes. So I'm hoping for leniency. That's the best way. Do you understand?" Libra looked like she was about to cry. Sagittarius grabbed Aquarius's arm.

"What are you doing?" Aquarius asked.

"Libra, go inside". Sagittarius said. He looked aquarius.

"Let's talk."

"Let go." Sagittarius pulled her.

"Let go." Sagittarius sighed. He bent down and filped her over his shoulder.

"Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. Put me down! Hey! Who do you think you are?" Sagittarius set her down on her feet when they made it to an isolated place.

"You. You're arresting me now by force. It's recorded on the CCTV camera. Do you know how terrible it is to be arrested for a crime?" She tried to walk away. Sagittarius grabbed her arm.

"Let go of my arm. Calm down and let's be civil." Aquarius said.

"Libra is innocent."

"What"?

"I need you to clear her name."

"Who are you. Who are you to do this?"

"I'm libra's classmate."

"Is there anything you know about the case? Did you see the crime scene?" Aquarius asked.

"Libra was going to kill herself yesterday, after meeting with you"? Aquarius looked at him.

"So? Is that evidence"?

"You're the worst. Are you really a lawyer"?

"Who are you to lecture me like this? Where did you learn your manners? You're younger than me, yet you're disrespectful. You kidnapped me and lectured me. If you're a kid, act like a kid". Aquarius said.

"If you're a lawyer, act like a lawyer. Shouldn't a lawyer listen to what the defendant has to say? How are you different from a prosecutor if you say they're guilty without even listening to them." Sagittarius said.

"There's no evidence! There's no evidence other than that which shows that libra is guilty. What am I supposed to do? Argue with me after you find evidence." Aquarius explained.

"I have evidence".

"What is it"? Sagittarius stared into her eyes.

"Why are you looking at me that way"? Aquarius stared to speak but Sagittarius copied what she said in sync.

"If you look at me like that, do you think evidence will just fall from the sky? Who are you? How are doing that? How do you know what I'll say?" Aquarius stared at him.

"This makes no sense". Aquarius tried to walk away but Sagittarius grabbed her.

"I can read other people's mind. That's my evidence.

Scropio was looking through today's case. She flashed back to the meeting in the elevator. She read "attempted murder" on the sheet. She grabbed a post-it and wrote down something.

"How long are you going to stand there. We have to clear Libra's name." Sagittarius walked towards here.

"Don't come closer! How is that possible"? Sagittarius sighed.

"Don't look at me like I'm a monster. In this world there are people whose iq are 200 and people who run 100 meters in 9 seconds. Being special doesn't make you a monster. Ah, how childish. I'm not an alien! I was born on earth!" Sagittarius said irritated.

"You're reading my mind right now? Stop reading! It feels dirtier than a voyeur."

"I don't want to hear people's thoughts either. But what am I supposed to do. I hear it whenever I see their eyes." Aquarius covered her eyes.

"This is crazy. Should I call the police? This is even worse than violating my private life." Aquarius said.

"Stop and focus on how you're going to prove Libra's innocence. Thoughts don't lie even when the mouth lies. Libra is innocent. I heard it. You have to prove it." Sagittarius said.

"I can't." Aquarius said.

"Are you really not going to"? Sagittarius asked raising his voice.

"It's not that I'm not going to, I can't. There is no evidence that supports that claim." Sagittarius walked over to her, grabbed her and turned her around.

"I said I'm evidence! I heard it!". Aquarius pushed him off.

"Are you going to say that in court. 'I read Libra's mind. She not guilty'. Are you going to testify that?" Aquarius laughed.

"Then the judge and prosecutor are going to be amazed by your mind-reading skills and accept that as evidence. Is that what you think is going to happen? They'll think we're crazy and kick us out."

"You saw, right? He's even lying about something that is impossible".

"Besides, even if they acknowledge your evidence, what if you lied"? Aquarius said.

"I don't lie."

"How am I supposed to know? Unlike you, other people can't read minds. How are you going to prove that in court? That's why your evidence can't be acknowledged. Your skill is great, but it's useless in this situation. In court, It's not important to the lawyer what the truth is, but weather or not there's evidence." Aquarius walked away.

"The truth..." Sagittarius yelled. Aquarius turned around.

"The truth wins in court, does it not?"

"Of course not, kid. You've got the order wrong. It's not the truth that wins in court, but that the winner establishes the truth in court." Aquarius walked away. Sagittarius stared as she walked away. He sat down on the bench and pulled out a diary.

He threw it in the trash but got it back out.

Aquarius was in the bathroom fixing herself up. She looked in the mirror.

"How is he hearing people's thoughts? Bizarre. Forget it...don't think about it. Right now just think of scorpio." Scorpio walked in. Aquarius flinched.

"Why are you thinking about me?" Scorpio was fixing her makeup.

"I was so surprised earlier that I didn't give a proper greeting. How long has it been"? Scorpio asked.

"10 years. That was the last time we met at the courthouse. Do you remember? You ran away in front of the court door." Aquarius said.

"Did I"? Scorpio asked. Aquarius washed her hands.

"There were a lot of things that I wanted to say the next time we met. Somehow, I just can't remember them now. I didn't know that we'd run into each other like this." Aquarius said

"Yeah...a lawyer and a prosecutor." Scorpio said.

"The world is really small and funny, isn't it"? Aquarius asked and walked out of the bathroom. Scorpio caught up to her.

"What are you going to do about today's trial? Are you going to argue she's innocent?" Aquarius took a deep breath and turned around.

"No. You wrote the written prosecution very well, clearly and perfectly without leaving anyway out. After reading it, who would argue that she's innocent?" Aquarius asked. Sagittarius walked in on their argument.

"Why? You should try. I think it might be possible." Scorpio said smiling.

"I don't want to. I don't want to be embarrassed in front of someone I haven't seen in 10 years." Aquarius explained. Scorpio stared at her.

"There really is an uncanny resemblance." Scorpio said.

"Who"? Aquarius asked. Scorpio smiled.

"Nothing. I'll see later at the trial". "Okay"? Scropio walked away. Aquarius turned around and saw Sagittarius. She covered her eyes.

"Are you reading my mind again?" Sagittarius looked the other way.

"That person...who is she?" Sagittarius asked.

"You don't need to know. Let's not meet each other again, okay?" Aquarius said and walked away still covering her eyes.

"What's the firework incident"? Aquarius stopped walking. She looked at him.

"How did you know about that"?

"A moment ago, I read that person's thoughts." Sagittarius said.

"Tell me. What was she thinking?"

The judges were walking to court but stopped when they say Aquarius walking around and around in the revolving doors.

Flashback

"She said libra really resembles you. The way you were 10 years at the firework incident".

"There really is an uncanny resemblance."

"Isn't that person the new public defender? The one that was in the newspapers"? One of the judges asked.

"What? Yeah..." pisces said.

"Oh, she's the one who didn't meet the qualifications, but was accepted after listening to her pitiful story because she seemed like a kind lawyer". The other judge said. Aquarius started screaming.

"AHHHHHHHHHH! AISH! AISH! DAMIT! DAMIT! AISH! AHHHHHHHH!" Aquarius stomped her feet.

"She did look kind...at that time"? Pisces said. Aquarius continued.

"AHHHHHHH! OH DAMIT"! Aquarius stomped.

Everyone was in the courtroom. Sagittarius sat in the audience. Aquarius and libra say on the right of the court room and scorpio sat on the left side.

"Everyone please make your statement". Pisces said.

"The defendant, Libra, is the classmate's classmate. She always ostracized the victim and tormented her. Because the victim was scouted on the street by an entertainment agency, this girl was jealous. She pushed the victim off who was sitting on the window sill. Due to this action, the victim is in a coma and has various fractures throughout her body. So I'd like to charge the defendant, Libra, in accordance to criminal law. Article 250 and article 254, with attempted murder". Scorpio explained.

Aquarius looked at libra was crying silently. she looked at aquarius and her hands were shaking. Aquarius looked at sagittarius.

You...are you absolutely sure that she is not guilty? Can I...really believe you?

Sagittarius nodded.

"Council, you can start your defense." Pisces said. Aquarius stared off into space.

"Council"! Pisces yelled.

"Pardon"? Aquarius asked.

"Do you  accept the charges"? Pisces asked. Aquarius stood. Scorpio looked at her. Aquarius looked at scorpio and opened the file. She looked back at Scorpio. Scropio started at her. Aquarius closed the file.

"I deny all charges against her.' Aquarius said. Scropio's eyes widened. Sagittarius smiled. Libra looked at up at her.

"The defendant pleads not guilty". Aquarius said. Scorpio glared at her Aquarius returned it with a cold stare. She then looked over at sagittarius who was smiling.
