I Have Five Kids

Being a Starbuck barista for about a year, Jung Hoseok has gotten used to all kinds of people coming in.

From random Youtubers vlogging in animal onesies to bored teens pranking whoever it was serving them on the counter, but never has Hoseok ever seen anyone like the man that had just walked in.

The man, probably in his late twenties or early thirties, had a head of mint hair with skin so pale which emphasized the dark bags under his eyes. The man was shorter than Hoseok, that he was sure of, and wore all black. From the parka that hung off his lean but slightly bult frame to the cool fingerless gloves that accentuated his large hands.

The man seemed to be talking to someone on his phone and despite his rough-looking appearance, the gentlest look was on his face as he  responded to whatever it was the person on the other line said.

'His mother or father, maybe?' Hoseok thought, his mind not wanting to go to the possibility that the hottie approaching his counter could possibly have a girlfriend, or a boyfriend.

'Is he even gay?' He wondered before taking a peek at the mint-haired man's ears. His left ear was bare but his right ear had an ear cuff and a dangling cross earring, making Hoseok squeal internally in delight.

'Okay, he's using the gay ear. I might have a chance.' All in all, he looked like someone Hoseok would see at the club and buy a drink for but the orange-haired college student was at work so he pulled out his brightest and most professional  smile and asked for the man's order.

The man made a 'wait' motion with his hand as he asked the person on the line what it was they wanted. 'Maybe a friend, or sibling?' Hoseok kept the helpful barista smile on his face as he waited on the guy.

As the mint-haired man seemed to take a longer time than the student expected, he let his gaze look around the cafe which didn't have that much customers since it was very, very early in the morning and they had just opened an hour ago.

During his people-watching session, Hoseok spotted a little black-haired girl sitting on one of the couches that had space for at least five people. The boy cooed mentally as he observed the girl who wore a kindergarten uniform as she patted the head of a younger boy with teary eyes who must've been her brother from their similar appearances.

'How cute.' Hoseok cooed before noticing that apart from the girl and boy, there was another girl who seemed to be the same age as the first boy and a toddler in a stroller. 'Are they all siblings?' He felt himself wonder.

"Uh, hello?" Hoseok snapped out of his trance, only to blush as he found the mint-haired man's questioning look directed at him. Composing himself, Hoseok pulled out his smile once more before asking for his order. "I'll have a strawberry frappe and three of those large cookies and a glazed donut." The man said in a voice that suggested that he was done with the world.

Hoseok didn't really expect such a sweet and sugary order from someone who looked like a person with the ability to kill him but his mother did always tell him not to judge others by their appearance.

"Okay, sir, is that all?" He asked, his finger poised on the button for cash out. "Actually, could I get a Venti of espresso too?" And just like that, Hoseok's brain short circuited as he tried to process the incredulous order.

"Excuse me?" His voice came out a little higher than before as he tried to erase the look of disbelief on his face. "I'm sorry, sir but did you just say a Venti of espresso?" The man looked irritated and impatient at Hoseok's reaction before replying snappily, "Did I stutter?"

Shaking out of his discord, Hoseok apologized before tapping in the ridiculous order, although he had to put it in as a Quad with sixteen additional shots of espresso since there was no specific button for such an unusual order, and turned once more to the man to ask if he wanted to add anything else.

Thinking for a moment, the man said, "Yeahh, put one of those Add Energy packet whatever things." Now, Hoseok was pretty sure that his eyes were bulging out of their sockets by now. This guy cannot be a human being.

"Um, sir, I don't think it's advisable to drink-" Hoseok was then pinned down by an icy glare from the man as his large gloved hands formed into knuckles on the counter as if to intimidate Hoseok and boy, it sure did. "I'm sorry, but I don't remember asking for your opinion."

Gathering all the courage he had left in his body, Hoseok bravely replied, "I apologize for my nosiness but I'm just concerned for your well-being, sir." His words seemed to blow out the tension in the man's body as the older laid his head on the counter. "Look, I'm about to have five kids and my husband's at that pregnancy stage where he's literally a fucking time bomb. I need that drink or I am seriously going to collapse."

If Hoseok wasn't blown away before, he sure was now.
'F-five? Five kids? He's married?!'

Glancing at the man's left hand, the glint of the expensive-looking platinum ring on his ring finger proved that, yes, the hot and rougish man was indeed married, and as if to add to the man's proof, the little girl he had found adorable a while ago came towards the man as she tugged on his parka, "Daddy, Beomie's crying again." She said in a small voice.

The man gave Hoseok an exasperated look and the college student finally broke. "Your name, sir?" The man gave him a tired smile before saying, "Yoongi, Min Yoongi."
