Clairs POV

I wake up the next morning to 11 missed calls and even more text messages, 5 calls are from Lucy, 2 from Josh, 1 from Brooke, 2 from Dean and 1 from Aiden. I immediately delete Aidens along with all of the text, I don't even bother reading them. I text Brooke, Josh, and Lucy letting them know that I will call them later. The only thing I want to do right now is talk to Dean.

"Good afternoon beautiful." A ridiculously huge grin immediately appears on my face. He never fails to make me smile.

"Hi Dean."

"How did you sleep?"

"Fantastic."

"Me to, I had a dream that we went out and it was incredible and at the end of the night I kissed you."

"Thats weird I had that same dream, in mine I kissed you back though."

"Oh you definitely kissed me back and it was like the Fourth of July was happening all around us."

"Oh so those weren't just in my head?"

"None of it was in our heads, last night was the realest thing that I've ever experienced."

"It was amazing wasn't it?"

We talk on the phone until I hear a knock on my door.

"Dean I gotta go I'll see you at school okay?"

"Wait Clair could I maybe pick you up tomorrow morning?" He sounded nervous.

"Um yeah sure but we have to leave earlier to drop my little sister off I'll text you with the time bye." I hang up and yell come in to the person on the other side of the door.

"Geez that must have been one hell of a date if you're still in bed." Lucy walked in, jumping on my bed and landing right next to me.

"Oh it was." I sit up and start telling her all about my date. It takes me two hours to tell the entire story because Lucy interrupted me every 5 seconds to ask a new question.

"So wait at the end of the night he just left??"

"Well kind of."

"What do you mean kind of?"

"He left but then he came back."

"He came back? For?" She is as anxious as I am now.

Ugh I couldn't take it anymore I have to tell her.

"He kissed me! I was about to go out and try to stop him from leaving but I opened the door and there he was and then he pushed me up against the door and kissed me. It was perfect in every single way." I sighed just thinking about the memory.

"OH MY GOD!!!!" We both screamed and started jumping up and down on my bed like the ridiculous teenagers we are.

Being kissed like that was magical. There was a feeling of want there that I've only experienced once. In that moment I wanted him more than I've wanted anything in a long time. What made everything better was that I could physical tell that he felt the same way. And I don't mean that in a perverted way. Maybe it was just lust but it also could have been the start of love and love can make anything possible.

Lucy left shortly after we got yelled at by my mom for jumping on my bed, but after I went downstairs and told her about my date with Dean I half expected her to get up and start jumping on the couch.

"Mom can I invite Josh over for dinner?" I asked walking into the kitchen.

"Of course, you know you don't have to ask about him." My mom absolutely adores Josh, no matter how many times I tell her we are just friends, she thinks that one day we will get married.

"Thank you and please tell dad not to bring up the whole college thing." I told my parents about Josh dropping and my dad was extremely furious. He thinks of Josh as his own son and was disappointed when he found out. My dad is huge on the whole who have to go to college to have a career thing and thinks he is just throwing away his future. My dad is the reason I've been avoiding Josh, I know my dad will say something and Josh will get upset and it will turn into a big argument. I don't want him to feel like anyone is disappointed in him for making his own choices.

"I'll do my best but you know how your father is."

"Yeah I know." I sighed and walked out of the kitchen to get my phone.

It's only three now, I still have two hours before dinner so I decide to call Brooke.

"Thank god you called back I need to talk to you." She sounds stressed.

"Why whats wrong?" I could hear the panic in her voice and it really worried me. Brooke and I have always got along really well, but it wasn't until all that stuff went down with Aiden that we got really close.

"I'll tell you but first I want to hear about your date."

"Brooke whats wrong?"

"No tell me about your date first. Mom said you went out with a guy named Dean. Is it the same Dean that I'm thinking of?"I sigh because I know she's not going to tell me anything until I tell her about my date.

"Yes it is the same Dean." I told her all about the date, luckily she doesn't interrupt like Lucy did so it took a lot less time to tell her everything.

"Wow I can't believe my little sister is dating The Dean Middleton, that would have been impressive for someone in my grade and he's two years younger."

"We aren't dating, Brooke it was one date."

"Um Clair he's taking you to a ball in two weeks, thats making future plans with you, you're defiantly dating him."

"Okay whatever maybe I am. Now its your turn." I could hear her let out a deep breath. This must be serious if she's freaking out this much. Brooke is the calmest and put together person I know.

"I might get kicked out of college."

"WHAT??? Brooke what happened?"

"I may have copied an essay off the internet."

"May have?"

"Ok I did, it was the first week back at college, I was still working a shit ton and the stupid english professor already assigned this huge essay and I forgot about it until the night before it was due and no way could I write a 6 page essay in one night, not when I was working until 10 so I found one on the internet, I went to a really random site and chose like the last one and changed a few things but the professor still found out I got it off the internet. I have a meeting with him and the dean tomorrow. Clair what am I going to do if I get kicked out mom and dad will kill me."

"Brooke I... I don't even know what to say. Why would you do something like that? You are literally the last person I'd ever expect to do something like this."

"You think I don't know that Clair? God I am so stupid! This is my dream and I might have just threw everything away. If I get kicked out I don't know what I'm going to do. It's not like I can just go to a different school, they put this kind of stuff on your record, an ivy league is not going to accept a cheater."

"Brooke what ever happens you will get through it, you are a problem solver you always find a way to make the impossible happen."

"Clair I'm not like you I'm not okay with just going anywhere and doing anything, you have so many things that you are good at you could literally do anything and succeed, but for me this is it, the only thing I've ever wanted to do is be a doctor, if I lose this dream I will lose a huge part of me."

I heard a knock on my door and my mom say "Josh is here."

"Brooke I have to go we are about to eat dinner and Josh is here. You need to stop freaking out though, don't do anything stupid like telling mom and dad yet. Call me tomorrow after your meeting with the dean and we can talk about it then okay I love you and we will figure it out."

"Okay fine love you to sis tell everyone I said hi."

I hang up and head downstairs. I can't believe she actually did that. Brooke is the smartest person I know, she's never acted out or turned in an assignment late, she even had an almost perfect attendance. I know that if the meeting tomorrow goes bad she's going to think her career is over. She's going to be disappointed in herself and completely lost. She really has only focused on one thing her entire life, this might just ruin her, and if it doesn't telling mom and dad will.
