Chapter Three

Peter watched as Winny searched through her backpack. Her head and half her arms inside the bag. She would throw out a few things every once and a while and she would continue to dig further and further into the bag. Winny even started to push herself across the room to get further into the bag to find what she was looking for.

"Winny, I don't think it's in there." Peter said picking up one of the notebooks that Winny had thrown out of her bag.

"No, I know it's in here." Winny said, her voice muffled from the bag. Peter started to look at the notebook, curiosity getting the better of him. It was practically filled with sketches of different outfits, mostly looking to be Steampunk.

"A-HA!" Winny finally got out of her bag, holding a USB. "FOUND IT!" Winny victory was cut short when she saw Peter flipping through her notebook.

"AAA!" She quickly got up and took it out of his hands, her face red with embarrassment.

"What's wrong?" Peter asked, hiding a smirk from the sight of Winny being red in the face. Winny kept the notebook close to her chest, holding it like she was protecting a child. Winny cleared her throat and stood up straight, standing at attention as if she was a private being checked over by her commanding officer.

"Sorry, it's just that, I'm kinda embarrassed about my sketches, okay? They're clothing designs for costumes I make, mostly for my brother." Winny tried to make it look like she wasn't hiding her blush.

"Are you two those kinds of nerds that go to Comic-Con and stuff like that?" Peter asked. Winny nodded.

"Yeah," Her blush seemed to grow.

"I'm not judging you, if that's what you're thinking, if anything I think it's really cool."

"Really?" Winny wasn't exactly sure how to react. She didn't really have any real-life people that thought that what she did was 'cool'. Her stepmom thought she had such a talent, her dad was proud that she did things productive, and her brother was ecstatic. Her brother was weirder than her. Brian didn't exactly wear normal clothes. He wore, Steampunk. That's where Winny came in. She was the one that designed and created the outfits that he wore everyday.

"Yeah really, you make anything else?" Peter asked.

"Uh, y-yeah, I design stuff for different people online." Winny said handing the notebook to Peter so she could put her hair up. She put it up in a bun, meaning for it to be elegant but failing miserably. Winny then went around the small room picking up her stuff and putting them back into her bag. She left out her black, thick rimmed glasses, headphones, computer and thumb drive, Peter still going through her notebook.

"What's this?" Peter asked, holding up the notebook and showing a new costume design for SpiderMan, New York's vigilante.

"Oh, uh, just a new design for SpiderMan's costume. Fingerless gloves so he can grip walls better, my breathable fabric for the face." Winny opened her laptop and started it up as she stood, her back to Peter.

"You're keeping the spandex?" Peter asked, trying to hide a smirk.

"Oh, uh," Winny blushed, turning to look at Peter, her glasses slipping down her nose a little.

"Y-yeah. Why fix something that sit broken?" Winny said, egging on that she thought that SpiderMan was very attractive in spandex. Peter grinned from ear to ear.

"Ya know, I, myself, know SpiderMan."

"You do? Don't tell him I said that, this conversation never leaves this house. What happens during college projects, stays with college projects." Winny said, pointing a finger at Peter so he knew she was serious.

"Hey hey, take it easy. I won't tell a soul." Peter said, putting his hands up in defense. He was still grinning.

"Why do I not trust you? Is it the grin? It's the grin. Stop grinning and I might trust you." Winny said. Peter stopped smiling, but almost immediately started smiling again. Peter covered his mouth to hide the smile. Winny sat down beside Peter, narrowing her eyes and leaning toward the teenage boy.

"Hmm. . .its not the grin. . .then what is it? I don't know what it is. . .but I'll find out." Winny was really close to Peter now.

"WHAT?!" Winny screeched looking past Peter. Peter slightly jumped at the sudden noise.

"IT'S ALREADY FOUR O'CLOCK?!" Winny continued. Peter looked behind himself to see the clock. It was four o'clock. Winny slapped open her laptop and started it up.

"So, first things first, you wanna be British or American?"
