Danny was currently sitting in front of one of his masters, he'd been training to expand the use of his powers. He had his eyes closed as he meditated, this was incredibly difficult to do and he'd been trying for over two weeks. His mentor spoke, "Try to feel, you must."

Danny concentrated, reached out as far as he could, "I feel happiness, triumph, betrayal, confusion, pain, hope." Danny paused, "Wait..."

"See, you do."

"I see someone, no, two people, they're the same but also different, I can't explain it." He tried to see more clearly but he was slipping, he tried to hold on but the more he tried the more it slipped away. He sighed, "I'm sorry master, I've lost it."

His master smiled, "Apologize, you must not, well, you have done."

Danny gave him a small smile, "Thank you, I wish I could stay but I have other places I must be, but I will see you again soon master."

Danny bowed slightly and his master nodded, Danny left and he traveled to the mountain to see the team. He was tired but he was happy, that was the first time he'd felt something clearly let alone seen anything, he was getting better. He found the team and some of their mentors after getting to the mountain, Miss Martian and Superboy were taking things out of the bio-ship.

Batman spoke, "Did you get everything?"

Miss Martian smiled, "Everything on your list Batman, plus groceries."

Danny walked over and Robin smiled at him a little, he'd been gone for several days while training with his master. Actually he'd been gone a lot during those two weeks so he hadn't seen the heroes much, this would be his first full day back in that time. He went to help Aqualad and Robin with a crate before he heard something fall and Zatanna shouted, "Dad!"

The heroes had to get over their shock before acting, Kid Flash, Artemis, Superboy, and Miss Martian went into town to help. Robin and Zatanna started searching everything from satellites to social media to figure out what was going on. With his abilities being his best asset right now he took to meditating, reaching out to the Force of this universe to find the cause of this.

He could feel something, he could feel the fear and panic of the people here, but also the same feelings from others. They were somewhere else but in the same place as well, then he saw something, when he opened his eyes he understood. He was more tired now and it took some time but he finally knew what was going on, now to tell the others.

Robin walked into the room as Danny got up and spoke, "So what did the, uh, Force tell you?"

Danny looked at him, "I know you don't believe in it, you don't have to act like you do."

Robin looked away for a second, "I'm not sure if I believe in the Force but it's obvious you have powers for some reason. Call it the Force or whatever you want but you have them and something tells me you've used them to save us more then a few times."

Danny was silent for a few seconds, "You said magic was probably responsible for the adults going missing, but I found them."

Robin's eyes widened, "You did?!"

Danny nodded, "There are two worlds, well, more like dimensions, this one is without adults, the other is without children. The magic used for this is powerful, and dark, all I could make out were dark eyes and someone laughing."

Robin thought for a second, "It's more information then we had before, and it explains a lot, Zatanna's going to try to locate the source so hopefully we can stop this."

Danny nodded, "Then lead the way."

Robin led him out of the room and they were near the zeta tubes, Robin brought up a hologram of the world and the other heroes where there. Zatanna pointed her wand at the map and said the spell, a red dot appeared on the map and Robin spoke, "Coordinates locked in, Roanoke island, you did it."

The team immediately started making a plan, now that they knew what was going on and the location of the spell they could figure out what to do. While they talked they heard what sounded like thunder and they looked behind them to find a kid behind them. Aqualad spoke, "Where did you come from, who are you?"

Billy spoke, "Quick, read my mind."

Miss Martian read his mind and gasped, "He's Captain Marvel."

Kid Flash didn't look convinced, "Yeah, and I'm Speedy Gonzales, look, just because he believes he's Cap-."

The kid cut him off, "Gee, Wally, do I really have to bring you nachos and pineapples juice to get on your good side?"

All of the heroes paused and looked at each other, but this meant that they could talk to the League now so they made a plan. The kid, Billy, would travel back and forth so they could talk to each other and make a plan, and that's exactly what they did. Danny closed his eyes to feel the Force and only picked up Aqualad's last sentence, "And hope the two dimensions merge naturally back into one."

Danny spoke, "They will, they belong together, once there is nothing to stop them they will reunite, it's staying separated that we need to worry about."

Aqualad nodded, "Then we must act quickly."

With that the team got ready to leave and headed out to Roanoke island, Danny hoped the Force was with them. When they finally landed they went to where the spell had originated from, they quickly made a plan of attack. Artemis shot at the magic user while Robin threw exploding disks at him, he used his magic to protect himself and the weapons didn't leave a scratch on him.

He smiled creepily, "That's the best you can do?" Robin and Artemis looked shocked before the magic user, Klarion, sent a bolt of red lightning and hit the two. Superboy, Aqualad, and Kid Flash attacked from different directions but Klarion easily forced them back.

Zatanna said a spell and Klarion laughed a little, "Baby magic." He then said a spell which sent her flying and Superboy managed to catch her before she hit the ground. Miss Martian tried throwing rocks at the shield he put up and he breathed fire at her which forced her to fly away.

Artemis tried shooting at Klarion's cat but Klarion turned the arrow into a ball of yarn before using magic to turn the cat into something that resembled a huge saber tooth tiger. A few seconds later the crystal in the middle of the spell circle sparked with energy, "So you teamed up with the grumps, teamwork is so overrated."

Klarion sent the energy at the heroes and Danny spoke, "Then you should try fighting me."

Danny took out his lightsaber and turned it on before getting ready to fight, Klarion gave him a strange look. He could feel Zatanna's shock and Klarion sent several attacks at him which he either dodged or blocked with his lightsaber. A few seconds later he heard thunder and Billy spoke into the mind link, "That is so cool! I mean, it's the gem, at the center of the pentagram, destroy it and we win."

He then heard Aqualad and Kid Flash shout and felt their panic before he looked and saw Dr. Fate, that wasn't good. Fate looked at Klarion, "Klarion, this ends now."

Klarion glared at him, "No, no, no! I finally found someone fun to play with and you had to ruin it!" Klarion attacked Fate but he (she?) stopped the attack and the two began fighting, made sure the others were okay while the two fought. Danny was told by Aqualad to protect Robin and Artemis while the others went to help Fate stop Klarion.

Danny looked at the two and put a hand on their shoulders, he took a breath before using the Force. When he took his hands away he felt tired, if he tried to fight right now he wouldn't be able to do much. Danny looked at the fight again when he sensed something odd, it was like Fate glitched out of existence for a minute.

Klarion smiled, "Hah, there, see?" Fate glitched again, "When the worlds divided the helmet split too, you're not all here Nabu, and you're losing hold of that poor, soon to be dead, girl." Klarion laughed a little, "She gave up herself for nothing."

Fate spoke, "No witch boy, Fate decrees her sacrifice will not be in vain." Fate attacked the shield again while Miss Martian threw rocks at it and Aqualad kept hitting it.

When the shield started disappearing Klarion kept saying no over and over again, Fate trapped him and Aqualad shouted, "Now Kid!"

Kid Flash ran over and grabbed the crystal from the center of the spell circle before turning around, "Doc, catch!" He threw the crystal to Fate who caught it and said the spell to bring the two worlds back together.

The other four magic users appeared and collapsed onto the ground, the Leaguers showed up as well. Klarion spoke, "They sure don't make evil immortal sorcerers like they used to, oh well." He snapped his fingers and he was free, "Fun while it lasted, Teekl."

The cat ran back to Klarion and jumped into his arms, Klarion opened a portal and looked at them. "See you later armadillo's, unless I see you first."

He jumped through the portal while laughing and Kid Flash sped over to Fate, "Aren't you going to stop him?"

Fate looked at the speedster, "To what end, Klarion is chaos personified, he can not be contained." Robin and Artemis woke up around that time and walked to the rest of the team, they looked confused considering they weren't in any pain and Robin looked at Aqualad, "Did we win?"

Aqualad looked at him, "Yes, but at a cost."

Zatara walked up and looked at Fate, "Fate!" Fate didn't answer so Zatara continued, "Great Nabu, release my daughter."

Fate was silent for a second, "No." Zatara's eyes widened and Fate continued, "Look at the havoc wrought in these hours. The world needs Doctor Fate, and the girls natural affinity for the mystic arts makes her the perfect candidate."

Artemis shouted, "You can't do that!"

Robin spoke, "She has her own life to live."

Kid Flash shouted, "Kent would never allow you to-."

Fate cut him off, "Kent Nelson did object, strenuously, so I released his spirit to the afterlife, he is gone."

Everyone was silent for a minute before Zatara spoke, "Take me instead, my skills are already at their peak. My body is physically stronger, better able to withstand the strain of your power."

Fate spoke, "All true, but if I remove the helmet what guarantee have I that you will dawn it?"

"My word." Zatara said a spell and Fate stared at him for a second before slowly coming to land on the ground in front of him and taking off the helmet. Zatanna smiled before she hugged her dad, Danny closed his eyes and sighed knowing what Zatara had given up for her.

Zatara took the helmet from Zatanna and looked at Batman, "Take care of my girl."

Batman spoke, "You have my word."

Zatara went to put on the helmet and Zatanna spoke, "No please, this was my fault, dad!"

Zatara put on the helmet, Fate possessed him and when Zatanna tried to reach out to him he turned away from her. He took the other sorcerers away and Zatanna fell to her knees, Robin, Danny, Artemis, and Kid Flash ran to her side. After she got over some of her shock they all headed back to the mountain and soon went home.

If Danny stayed in this world Batman and Robin usually had him stay with them which is what happened this time too. He stayed in the batcave but it gave him a quiet place to think and meditate, but now he needed to rest. The next day they helped Zatanna move her stuff into a room in the mountain and once they were done Miss Martian spoke.

"My room is right next door, if you need anything."

Zatanna smiled a little, "Thanks, I could use a little alone time, okay?"

Artemis spoke, "Of course."

They all left her room and Danny wished he could say something, that her father would be okay or one day it wouldn't hurt as much. But he couldn't, he didn't know if any of that was true, he'd lost everything he loved once and now he was okay but that took years. Hopefully everything would be okay, but for now he could only hope that the Force would be with her in these difficult times.
