The team was currently watching the news inside the Justice League's decoy base along with their new member, Rocket. Kid Flash spoke, "I'm glad they didn't kick Billy out, and I love the fact that there's a ten year old on the League."

Rocket looked shocked and confused, "There is?"

Robin elbowed the speedster in the side, "Way to keep a secret genius."

Kid Flash looked at him, "Hey, she's on the team now right?" Kid Flash continued eating the apple he had been snacking on and they continued watching the news. Danny let his mind wander a bit, he'd had more visions of the same two people that were the same yet not.

It confused him, even his master didn't know what to make of it and he'd been trying to figure it out but hadn't had any luck. Rocket spoke, "You know, I was the one who convinced Icon to become a hero in the first place, I should be outside celebrating with him, not hidden away in here."

Aqualad smiled at her, "Welcome to our world."

Rocket smiled at Aqualad, "Well, I suppose there's an up side too."

Danny saw the way she was looking at the atlantean and smiled, he almost found it funny considering she just got here. When Red Arrow got his card Kid Flash shouted, "Way to go Roy!"

Aqualad smiled, "At least he has his wish."

Robin smiled, "The first of us to make it, no one'll call him a sidekick anymore."

Rocket spoke, "Wait, since when is being a sidekick a bad thing, you sidekicks were my inspiration."

Robin started to explain, "Well, see, six months ago it-." Robin was cut off when he heard a beeping noise coming from his holo-watch and he checked it. Robin told them what was going on and they quickly left before the Leaguers even got into the room.

The team ran to the bio-ship and flew off as quickly as they could, Artemis eventually spoke, "Are you sure it's her?"

Robin typed a few things into his holo-glove, "See for yourself." He brought up some video footage, "This is the security footage from the Nashville regional airport. Facial recognition confirms that's Jade Nguyen, but, you've seen her without her mask, what do you think?"

Artemis was quiet for a few seconds before she spoke, "It's Jade, Cheshire."

Aqualad spoke, "Agreed, but focus on what she carries, is that the case you saw in New Orleans, the one that got away?"

Artemis looked down, "Yes."

Rocket spoke, "Okay, I'm guessing from the mugshot that this Cheshire's the bad guy, but what's so important about that case?"

Danny looked at her, "Do you remember the Injustice League?"

"And their giant evil plants, uh, yeah."

Aqualad spoke, "The team and the League put them in prison, but their allies still scheme, and whatever is in that containment case seems important to their plans."

Kid Flash spoke, "We had a chance to grab it in New Orleans, but someone screwed up."

Danny glared at him a little and that look alone was enough to make him shut up, Miss Martian spoke, "Approaching Cheshire's jet." She gasped and Artemis looked away, "Looks like there were no survivors."

The team left the bio-ship to inspect the crash and Danny tried to see if he could feel anything, there was nothing in the crashed plane. Kid Flash spoke, "How come Homeland Security and the NTSP aren't all over this?"

Robin answered, "Cheshire's ID was a League alert, authorities didn't pick it up and her jet didn't follow it's flight plan. Flew under the radar, literally, but the Watchtower audited the jet and recorded the crash."

Rocket looked at them, "Then why isn't the League here?"

Danny answered, "Because Robin is good at hacking and made it so he'd get the alert first."

Robin looked a bit proud of himself at that and smiled at Danny, the Force user couldn't help but smile back. Aqualad spoke, "And because Cheshire and that case represent our unfinished business."

Superboy threw a wing to the side, "Where are the bodies?"

Danny sensed something before someone spoke, "Here's one." The heroes all looked in the direction of the voice and Cheshire was standing there, "And it is stunning."

Danny sensed a large number of people surrounding them, Danny could take at least part of them out on his own, with the team he wasn't worried. Then someone else spoke, "I am flora, not fauna, I am foliage, not trees, what am I?"

He snapped his fingers and a number of devices came out of the ground and a barrier formed around them. "Come on, you can get this, I am shrubbery, not grass. What am I? I..."

Robin spoke, "Am bush."

The man, one Danny recognized as Riddler, looked down at them, "Didn't you think we'd be tipped you were on Cheshire's trail? We're tired of your interference kiddies, this is the end game, ordered from above and executed by their master strategist moi."

Aqualad spoke into the mind link, 'Miss Martian, is everyone linked?'

Miss Martian spoke, 'Yes.'

'Go.' The heroes attacked and Zatanna created a snowstorm inside the barrier, Danny took out his lightsaber and attacked. He destroyed the weapons of the people that attacked him and tried to make his way to the pylons creating the shield. Aqualad told Superboy to do the same and they made it up at around the same time but they were both attacked.

Danny couldn't see Superboy too well but the Force user was attacked by several goons, at least this was good practice. Danny soon heard Robin shout into the mind link, 'SB you're, you're flying!'

Danny soon heard what sounded like rocks falling but couldn't quite see where they were until it was too late but Cheshire got Artemis out of the way, curious. The fight ended soon after that, Robin and Zatanna caught Riddler and they soon went back to the mountain. The next day they stood in front of Batman as he spoke, "Tell me if this sounds familiar, you hacked League systems, disobeyed protocol, and endangered your lives."

"And your initiative resulted in the capture of three escaped felons, proving warden Strange runs Belle Reve as a cover for criminal activity." Batman smiled a little, "Well done." Danny was almost shocked, almost, if he hadn't sensed the small bit of pride Batman felt toward them. Batman spoke again, "Then there's this, bio-technology integrated with some form of nanocircuitry."

Icon spoke, "Though I am unfamiliar with this species, the bio component is clearly not of Earth."

Batman closed the case as he spoke, "We'll take it to the watchtower for further study." The Leaguers left but Rocket quickly flew up to Icon and congratulated him on becoming part of the League. After the League left Robin looked at Aqualad and spoke, "You realize we were set up."

Aqualad looked at him, "Yes, Riddler and Cheshire were 'tipped' and ready for us."

Artemis facepalmed, "Not the mole thing again."

Rocket walked over, "Mole thing? Again?"

Kid Flash spoke, "We had intel that there was a traitor on the team."

Superboy spoke, "Mainly Artemis, Megan, Danny, or me."

Aqualad put a hand on his shoulder, "It is more complicated then that." Superboy hit Aqualad's hand off of his shoulder and started walking away, the atlantean followed and continued speaking. "But your recent behavior does concern me, your attack on Mammoth nearly got Artemis killed."

At that moment Danny's ears started to hurt and he heard something, "Superboy, I believe you've used up the last of your shields, I have more, meet me outside of Prisca."

Aqualad looked slightly confused, "Superboy?"

Superboy turned to him, "There's something I need to do, there's something I need to tell you. Last month, on Thanksgiving, I went back to Cadmus, found a few things out, when I was cloned only half the DNA was Superman's. Half the DNA was human, that's why I don't have, will never have, full kryptonian powers."

Robin smiled, "You sure, cause you sure seemed to have them today."

Superboy looked away before he lifted the right sleeve of his shirt, "I've been using these. Shields, they suppress my human DNA, I get the flight, the heat vision, but I think I also get angry, well, angrier, I'm sorry."

Aqualad looked at him seriously, "Where did you get those?"

Superboy looked away again before pulling out a metal case, "From my human father, Lex Luthor."

Danny was the only one that didn't seem surprised, he wasn't surprised by much so this didn't really phase him. Robin spoke, "Lex Luthor, is your dad?!"

Superboy looked serious, "He summoned me to Santa Prisca."

Artemis groaned, "Listen, Superboy's not the only one suffering from bad DNA." Artemis walked a few feet away from the group and activated the holo-computer before quickly typing a few things in before some pictures popped up. "My mother is Huntress, an ex con, the rest of my family aren't even ex, my dad's Sportsmaster, and he's sending my sister, Cheshire, to fly me to Santa Prisca too."

Kid Flash's eyes widened, "That's why..."

Artemis looked away, "Yeah, I was so desperate to make sure none of you found out."

Robin smiled, "Danny and I knew."

Everyone looked shocked and Danny smiled, "He's a detective and I'm a Jedi, but it doesn't matter."

Robin nodded, "He's right, you aren't your family, you're one of us."

Artemis looked away and smiled, Kid Flash walked up to her and put a hand on her shoulder. "So, who's next?"

Miss Martian looked at the ground, "I am."

Kid Flash put his hands up in surrender, "I swear I was kidding."

Miss Martian ignored his comment, "Queen Bee's been blackmailing me, she wants me in Santa Prisca too."

Aqualad looked confused, "Blackmailing, how?"

Miss Martian wouldn't look at any of them, "She knows my true martian form."

Robin spoke, "Bald Megan, who cares if-."

Miss Martian cut him off, "No." She took a deep breath before she morphed, everyone took a few steps back due to their shock. Danny still wasn't surprised, he'd seen many things in his time so this was an average day for him. Miss Martian looked around before hugging herself, "I realized you would never accept me if you saw what I really am."

Danny looked a bit sad, of course he knew how she felt considering his past so he probably understood more then any of the heroes. Aqualad spoke, "Megan, did we truly seem so shallow?"

Miss Martian saw the understanding look Danny was giving her, she didn't know why he seemed to understand though. She looked away and stared at the floor, "I couldn't take the chance, being a white martian among the green on Mars I endured constant rejection, I couldn't face that from-."

Superboy spoke, "From me?" Superboy walked over to her and held her hand, he guessed they were talking into the mind link.

After a minute Miss Martian transformed back and Zatanna spoke, "So what do we do now?"

Aqualad thought for a minute before he came up with a plan, a few hours later they were all heading toward Santa Prisca. Most of the team had already found places to hide on the island close to where the villains were supposed to meet up. Superboy was the first to show up, Luthor and Queen Bee were already there waiting for him, as well as Luthor's assistant Mercy.

Sportsmaster, Blockbuster, as well as Bane and his people showed up not long after. Each of them quickly put together that the Injustice League was a cover up for Luthor and his associates. Danny could truthfully say he called it, he might not have known what exactly was going on but he knew the Injustice League was a distraction.

Artemis was the next to show up, she arrived in a helicopter, not even a minute later Miss Martian showed up in the bio-ship. The heroes listened and waited, hopefully the three would be able to fool the villains but they'd have to wait and see. After a bit it became clear that Luthor figured out that Superboy was trying to play him because Superboy froze.

Kid Flash wanted to go in but Danny stopped him, they had to wait, they had to wait for their signal. Blockbuster started walking up to Superboy, Artemis's eyes narrowed before she shot an arrow at the freak science experiment. Blockbuster got trapped in green foam, Miss Martian soon lifted Artemis into the air using her powers.

She used the distraction to cause Queen Bee to hit a tree which knocked her out, Artemis shot an arrow at Sportsmaster and Cheshire right after. Superboy could stop pretending he was frozen since Queen Bee was now unconscious and couldn't control him. When Superboy went to attack Luthor Blockbuster had gotten out of the foam and stopped him before he could do anything.

Miss Martian was being shot at by Bane's men and Artemis was trying to defend herself against her advancing family members. Artemis spoke into the mind link, 'Guys, reinforcement time.'

Everyone quickly moved to help their struggling teammates, Rocket and Kid Flash helped take down Bane's men within seconds. Aqualad stopped Luthor from taking the unconscious Queen Bee and leaving but Mercy quickly defended the villains. More of Bane's men continued to shoot at Miss Martian, Robin and Danny took them out, Zatanna used her magic to tie up the one they missed.

Danny saw Luthor get away soon after but he couldn't think about that for long because Bane attacked them. Danny ran in to help Zatanna and Robin, Zatanna was down but Robin still needed help, Danny stood next to Robin. "I'll distract him so you can take him down."

Robin nodded and Danny attacked him, Robin soon ran in and flipped over Bane to disconnect the tube feeding him the drugs he used. Robin then electrocuted him and Bane was down, the hero smiled at Danny before moving on to the next enemy. It wasn't long before their enemies had either been defeated or they ran and Rocket smiled, "It is always like this."

Zatanna smiled, "Told you."

Robin couldn't help but smile, "Hey, disaster averted, feeling the aster."

Robin smiled at Danny and the Force user sensed an emotion from him that he'd felt several times but couldn't place. It had gotten stronger throughout his time knowing Robin but he had no idea what it was despite how strong it had gotten. Aqualad spoke, "Agreed, this has been a good day."

Everyone seemed to agree with that, now that they'd beaten the bad guys they could finally relax. Of course Danny had other things he still needed to do but the team didn't know that and he was happy to deal with it on his own. But he still felt like something was going to happen, there was a disturbance in the Force and he got the feeling that it wasn't good.
