VANCE EZRA HADN'T BEEN SURE ABOUT HIS LIFE. Before he was born, a short time before he was born, the supernatural world had been revealed. He lived in utter fear that, now that most of the supernatural beings were known, hunters would come back them. Although, he knew Chris Argent was not one he needed to worry about.

Vance knew that many of the hunters weren't aware of his family being werewolves. As, unlike the known Hale family, they had been known because they were a werewolves family of born werewolves.

Vance's mother had been bitten, and then killed the Alpha that bit her before, a handful of years later, met Vance's father, a hunter. But, he hadn't killed her. Instead, he had asked to be bitten.

After that, the two had began a relationship. Vance had heard the story of his parent's meeting, heard how their relationship started.

Vance had only met Eli Hale through his parents, who knew Derek Hale.

"So," Vance says as he climbed through Eli's window. "how is it, that I am the responsible one?"

"The one who's breaking in and entering?" Eli hummed back in question. "And you do realize my dad can hear you sneaking in, right?"

"Yeah, but, hopefully, he ignores it," Vance calls out a bit louder. "and gives us the, semi-normal feeling of a best friend sneaking into the other best friends place, as normal humans do." Vance grinned.

Eli shook his head. "Where do you want to go?"

Vance reached out, taking Eli's hand in his own. He heart Eli's heart, oddly enough, skip a beat. Vance smiled at him. "Relax. Nothing's gonna happen to you. I promise I'll protect you. We'll go nothing illegal, this time."

Eli smiled back. "You do realize my Dad's not here, right?"

"You just said he was."

"No. I said he could hear you breaking in. If he was here."

"You have five second to run."

"You sure you don't want the head start?"

"I'm throwing you out your window."

"But, how would you be keeping me save if you do that?"

Eli ran out the house, Vance right behind him.
