ember mitchell happened to be one of the 43 babies born on the same day to mothers that weren't pregnant. some mothers gave up their kids and some didn't. her mother were one of those that didn't.

her mother, gemma, didn't care that she was only 18 and had a baby girl. she wasn't going to just abandon her daughter. she didn't care that ember had the power super speed plus super fast reflexes. gemma honestly thought it was very cool and always told ember that she was unique and perfect in her own way.

gemma decided to take care of ember and do online college. it was tough, but it was worth it. along the journey gemma eventually found love and got married to a lovely guy named

together calvin and gemma raised ember. the mitchell family happened to live next to the one and only hargreeve family. ember actually became friends with the kids in the hargreeve family and it seemed like she was living at their house since she was always hanging out with them.

she got along with each of the siblings and always made sure to make vanya feel included knowing that vanya sometimes felt left out. but she had the strongest bond with five. they've always got along and were always there for each other. people even often thought they were a couple because of how close they were.

ember was at the hargreeves house the night when five went time traveling too far. and ember made the mistake of going with him. everything they went through and are going to go through, they are doing it together.

A/N latley I've been in the mood to write the umbrella academy probably bc i watched the trailer for season two which I'm super excited about! I was going to wait to publish this since I already have so many stories, but I got too excited & decided to publish it. also both of ember's parents are dead by the time she & five get back.
her mom unexpectedly had cancer & eventually died from it & her dad sadly died in a car wreck. I just thought that you guys should know that so you won't be confused as to where her parents were. anyways I hope you guys like this story!
