"I need a ticket to the farthest place from here."I said emotionlessly

"How about Rustboro city, I must warn you it's quite expensive."the kind lady told me.

I was at the airport trying to get a long way away from my "family".

I don't even know what to call them. They lied to me and it turns out they don't care about me.

"Money is no issue."I said

After I was beaten up by the boy I had considered my best friend I went back to the house I was raised in and took all the money Bill and Jane had.

"How about I call in a Swellow for you. There cheaper and faster."she smiled concerned for my well being.

"Yeah that's fine."I whimpered

Even though I was deadly afraid of flying I knew it was the best way to get away from here.

The Swellow had dropped me off on top of the hills. I was overlooking the city. I could see the town was alive with energy after all Rustboro city was the fourth largest city In Hoenn. I slowly made my way down the hill. Cleffa was sitting in my arms.

"Hey! You! Lets battle!"a random girl exclaimed

Before I knew it a Pidgeotto was flying in front of. I then remembered Mr.Pike saying that kids In the real world would battle you at a moments notice. The girl in front of me looked Max's age and she had had short redish brown hair and pale blue eyes.

"Luvdisc,"I said tossing her Pokeball towards the small creek Infront of us. There were small stepping stone going through the water

My heart shaped Pokemon appeared she looked confused but then saw me and smiled.

"Ok Luvdisc we are battling start things off with water gun."I Commanded

The Pokemon shot a small stream of water at the bird. It flew around the attack.

"Quick use steel wing,"she ordered her Pokemon

"When it gets close go under the water and let it fall in."I smirked

"Wait Pidgeotto fly back up," she screeched

The bird Pokemon tried but it had already hit the water. It sank like a stone. A few moments later the bird Pokemon was thrown out of the water my Luvdisc jumped out too she smiled as the girl returned the now flying Pokemon.

"Good battle,"I smiled

"Thanks you too, by the way my name is Anita."she greeted me

"Shawn,"I shook her hand

"Well I better get going thanks again,"She yelled running off towards the city

"That was strange."I muttered to Luvdisc

I pulled out her Pokeball and she was sucked back into it. I quickly made my way to the Pokemon center. I gave my Pokeballs to nurse joy.

"Darling your gonna have to get a trainer card."she sighed

"What's that?"I questioned

"Here,"she said she took me over to computer. She pulled up a website where there where questions on the screen.

I carefully answered each question. Most where basic like my Name, Birth date, Starter, and hometown.  At the end I took a picture and nurse Joy printed my I.D.

"Here sweet pea,"she smiled

She finally healed my four Pokemon. I handed her my Skitty egg to see if it was in good shape.

"It looks good, just a little while longer,"she grinned

"MAX IF YOU DON'T TELL THAT TAILOW OF YOURS TO STEP PECKING ME I WILL DESTROY IT,"a girly voice yelled

I turned my head and saw Max and May.

"Oh, Shawn. Hi."she said sweating.

"May and Max,"I smiled

"Why are you here?"Max questioned me.

I explained my story and both children looked sad for me.

"Aw Jacob I'm sorry how would you like to travel with us?"May asked

"I don't want to stretch my welcom-"I said shaking my head

"YOUR COMING SO I DON'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH MAX."may shouted angrily her face turning red

"Fine,"I said

"Yay,"she smiled pulling me into a large hug

"So I was thinking of talking to the gym leaders about my predicament."I informed.

"The best way to talk to a gym leader is to battle them."Max said

"Well I have two badges already I might as well get the rest,"I responded

"Yeah we can go to Roxanne's gym now,"May grinned

We head to a large building that looked like it had rocks piled on top of it. It was large and was silver. The rocks were brown.

We entered and the gym was silent.

"It wasn't like this last time when ash challenged her I wonder what is going on,"May pondered

"The gym is closed,"a voice shouted

"Who's there?"Max asked

"Max?"the voice questioned

A boy that looked around eleven years old came out he had light brown hair and dark eyes. He was wearing a purple and yellow track suit.

"Tommy?"Max said

The both nodded and gave each other a handshake and a pat on the back.

"Kenny, Anita come here."the boy yelled

The girl from earlier and a shy looking boy with navy hair came running out with the Pidgeotto and a Poliwhirl.

"Woah both Pidgey and Poliwag evolved?"Max smiled

"So did Magby."Tommy said tossing out a Pokeball.

The evolved form of Magby came out. It was a Magmar.

"Woah,"Max awed.

"And my dad let me catch my own Pokemon before Ms.Roxanne gave me Magby."tommy revealed another red and white sphere

This time an Electabuzz came out.

"That's so cool."Max grinned," meet my Pokemon."

Max tossed out three Pokeballs. Treecko, Tailow, and Whismur.

"That's cool."The little boy named Kenny said.

It was the first time I had even heard him speak. He was quiet and really shy from what I could tell.

"May and Shawn show them your Pokemon that you have with you,"Max said

I pulled Cleffa out and released Pink. There wasn't any water so I couldn't release Luvdisc or Gorebyss.

May threw out two Pokeballs. First was her Chickorita and the second was a Staryu.

"I caught it when I was fishing."she yelped.

I laughed

"Isn't she just precious. Look at her gem."May said with big hearts in her eyes.

"Yep, just gorgeous."I said

"Oh how's your egg?"May asked me

"Good how are y'all's?"I asked pulling out my egg.

"They are great,"May smiled pulling out her egg while Max spent time talking to his friends

I felt her egg. I could feel the heat radiating from it. It gently shook back and forth.

"Wow it's close to hatching,"I smiled at her

She grinned proudly of her egg while I carefully slipped mine back into my large bag. Our group returned all of our Pokemon.

"So what happened to Roxanne?"I asked turning towards the three kids in the rock gym.

"She got kidnapped,"the brown haired boy named Tommy scoffed.

"We don't know that tommy,"Anita said trying to keep the worry out of her now scared voice.

"Anita she has been gone for 3 days,"Kenny whispered gently to the now crying girl.

"She went to catch me a rock type for my birthday she said that she would be back in an hour,"Anita cried, tears were now streaming down her face.

"Anita it wasn't your fault,"Tommy spoke quietly.

"Why haven't you called the police?"I questioned the three kids

"We did,"Kenny replied quietly,"they came and didn't even investigate all they said was that she was on a vacation."

"The cops must be working with Team Bomb,"I gasped

"Yep that is right,"a voice yelled

A familiar trio stepped into the gym. It was Blaine Rory and Chris.

"Team bomb?"I questioned

They nodded and music began to play in the background

"No not another team rocket,"May sighed

"Here comes the boom!"Chris shouted releasing his Lairon

"With a side of doom!"Rory shouted releasing his Grovyle.

"To make sure you don't ruin our plans,"Blaine said quietly releasing his barking Poochyena

"We will destroy you, man."Chris taunted, his emotionless Pokemon stood by his side

"You'll live in fear,"Blaine nodded depressingly

"I'm sorry, dear!"Rory winked kissing may's hand she immediately pulled back.

"Have a good life before we ruin.."Chris stated

"It,"they all yelled jumping up. Poochyena barked meanly

"I can't deal with this with out situation,"Tommy said," Electabuzz use thunder punch now."

Tommy tossed out his electric Pokemon and it punched the Lairon who was in the front. The large steel type was knocked back into the three criminals and there Pokemon. They were sent flying through the door into the sky

"We are blowing up,"Chris and Rory yelled

"Why did I join this?"Blaine whined but his Pokemon barked at him.

The criminals disappeared into the blue sky.

"So how about our battle,"Tommy smirked.

Max and I both sweated and prepared for our battle.

"I'll go first,"Max said confidently 

A.N I know I'm sorry this chapter was horrible. Team bomb won't always blast off. It was just a point to prove Tommy's strength. In case you forgot. Tommy, Anita, and Kenny went to Ms.Roxanne's beginner class at the Rustboro academy in the Hoenn Pokemon anime. I also posted it a day early. 😏
