Annie sat on a bench outside of the airport in the rain. She felt tears fall down her cheeks as memories flooded her mind.

Flash back

"Do you really have to go?" Annie asked her girlfriend as they walked down the river by their house. The only light coming from the moon that shown high in the starry sky.

Mikasa smiling gently at the blonde pulling her into a tight embrace." I'll be fine Annie, besides I have Ymir to keep me company." Mikasa whispered in her lovers ear, tracing circles on the shorter girls back.

"Promise?" Annie said placing her head in the crook of Mikasa's neck. "Promise." Annie smiled a little calmer than before. Mikasa was leaving tomorrow to help fight in the war. Annie had done all she could to make Mikasa stay but it was no use. Once Mikasa set her mind to something it was nearly impossible to change it.

"Annie, make sure you take care of wolf for me." Mikasa said quietly making the blonde laugh lightly." I will." Annie whispered as Mikasa let go of the embrace. "I love you." Mikasa said looking down, her stormy grey eyes staring into crystal blue ones.

"I love you too." Annie said before pulling Mikasa down by the collar of her shirt, into a slow passionate kiss. Mikasa was quick to kiss back. They spent the rest of the night there, cuddling and kissing.

Flash back ends

Now here Annie was crying in the rain, her clothes soaked. She had arrived at the airport with Krista to see their girlfriends after nearly a year. Krista had left a long time ago with Ymir beside her.

Annie could feel all hope fade from her as the stars started to appear in the sky. Annie couldn't take it and let out pain filled sobs as she remembered all the times her and Mikasa would play video games together, or when Annie pushed Mikasa in the river by their house, or when Mikasa brought home a small black wolf she found in the forest by their house.

Annie was about to leave and go home to cry to herself, until she felt something on her shoulders that blocked out the rain. Looking up Annie couldn't help but cry more as her crystal blue eyes met the stormy grey ones she missed so much.

"Hey beautiful." Mikasa said sporting a dorky grin. Annie leapt forward jumping on Mikasa, who lifted her up off the ground. Annie wrapped her legs around Mikasa's waist, and her arms around the ravens neck." D-dork." Annie stuttered still sobbing but with happy tears instead.

"I know, but I'm your dork." Mikasa said making Annie smile, and place her head in the crook of Mikasa's neck. "Yeah, I love you." Annie whispered against Mikasa's neck. Mikasa had on a white T-shirt and army pants, that were soaked due to the rain, her army jacket around Annie's shoulders.

"I love you too." Mikasa whispered into Annie's ear, tightening her embrace ever so slightly. "I-I thought I lost you" Annie breathed out as the tears slowed down until she could see clearly again.

"I promised didn't I." Mikasa stated rubbing Annie's back to soothe her girlfriend's tears. "Let's go home, before you catch a cold." Mikasa said walking towards the parking lot, Annie still in her arms.

"Yeah...." Was all Annie said as Mikasa carried her to the parking lot.

~Time skip a few years~

"Ymir, catch!" Mikasa yelled as she threw a football towards the freckle faced girl. They were currently in front of the river by Annie and Mikasa's house.

"I got it!" Ymir yelled in attempt to catch the football coming at a great speed, but failing miserably as the ball hit her directly in the face.

"Ow!" Ymir yelled at Mikasa, who shrugged." I said catch." Was her smooth reply. "Are you OK Ymir?" Krista, who was holding a basket in her left hand,said walking towards her wife. Annie close behind holding a red blanket.

"Yeah." Ymir said smiling with a small blush on her face. Mikasa walked towards her wife,Annie and kissed her cheek. Suddenly a big black wolf ran up to them rubbing it's head against Annie's leg." Alright, Alright." Annie said laying the blanket down.

The wolf layers down on the blanket looking happy. "Finally food!" Both Mikasa and Ymir exclaimed together. Krista giggled at the two while Annie rolled her eyes.

A few hours after eating and rolling around with Wolf Krista and Annie were talking with grins on their faces. "This doesn't look good." Mikasa whispered to Ymir as they petted Wolf and sat at the edge of the river."What do you think they're planning?" Ymir asked the raven.

Before Mikasa could answer Annie pushed her over the edge, and into the river. Ymir soon joining her in the cold water." Oh you're in for it now!" Mikasa yelled playfully as she quickly grabbed Annie's wrist and pulled her in the water as well." You're next!" Ymir yelled doing the same to Krista.

They enjoyed the rest of the day having fun in the river then when the stars appeared in the sky they all laid on the blanket with Wolf next to them and star gazed.
